Inky Impressions Inspiration - Bags and Tags

Good afternoon! I have just posted my last GDT project over on the Inky Impressions Inspirations blog. 

 

I have used another tutorial on Splitcoaststampers... a double pocket gift bag, which only uses one 12x12 sheet of heavy paper or cardstock.

I've chosen to use Lili's Secret and I've coloured her up with copic markers, then trimmed her out and adhered her to the bag using 3D pop dots.

 

My papers are the from Dots and Stripes collection by Echo Park. These are double sided and perfect for this type of project. The border, background sticker and tag are also in the pack. 

 

 

The handles are made from black grosgrain ribbon secured with gold rimmed pearl brads. I've also added some bling in the form of some Prima pearl swirl. 

 

There is plenty of room in both pockets to add some delicious treats and this bag can be adapted to suit any occasion.

Flower Power

I chose Mod Marci, as I felt she was perfect for this theme! I used bright and zingy papers from Basic Grey and coloured Marci up to match. The pearls,  ribbon and lace are from my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Some Odd Girl Annual Customer Hol-ODD-Day Hop

Hi everyone. Some Odd Girl are having a hop for anyone who wants to join in to show off an Odd holiday creation! All you need to do is link up a holiday project using a SOG image. There are also some extra prizes if you enter your card into one of 4 categories, and I'm entering mine into the All White category. White on White is one of my favourite things to do and I really enjoyed making the card - even if I did spend an age trying to dry stickles with a heat gun, lol. 

Apologies for the poor picture, white on white is a nightmare to photo and my light tent just made it nigh on impossible so I had to take the pic on my countertop using the flash on my camera. 

On my card I used white card, white vellum, off white pearls, white snowballs, white flowers {I painted the stems white}, a grungeboard heart and hinge which I've painted white and added loads of glitter to and a white punched butterfly. I embossed the layers with the Sizzix snowflake die.

Inky Impressions Challenges - Christmas Cheer

Today sees the start of another challenge over on Inky Impressions Challenges and this week the theme is CHRISTMAS CHEER. 

I have used a digital image from last year called Rachel's Gingerbread Christmas (younger years as I thought it suited this challenge to perfection :) You can also check out the rest of the digis in the store HERE.

My image has been coloured with Copic Markers - lost track of the numbers as there were so many.

My papers are a mix of Cosmo Cricket and Echo Park 'Dots & Stripes'. They've all been machine stitched onto white, red and green cardstock. I used Martha Stewart double dot punch for the border work.

The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse Stamps, the pearls by Kaisercraft and the ribbon is from my local fabric store.

Good morning! Woah, one week to Christmas Day... how did that happen??! I am somewhat prepared for the holidays so I can take it easy this week... once I have the house cleaned, gifts distributed and teachers' gifts made/bought ;).

Color Me Creative's new challenge is ** HOLIDAY JOY--in Golds. Creams & Whites**

Show your holiday joy with sparkling colors of GOLD, CREAM & WHITE!

(you can use some other colors like hair/skin/etc but the majority of colors should be Gold, Cream & Whites)

We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, COPIC REFILLS OR COPIC AIRBRUSH SYSTEM (Or ProMarkers if you have them)

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges - Tag Time

Hi everyone! I am hostess this week over on Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges and the challenge is called Tag Time! We would likek you to create a tag or include a tag somewhere on your project. The prize for this challenge is the stamp that I've used on my tag which is called Cutthroat Lizzie

I've used one of "Tim's Tags", covered it with patterned papers and layered some lace and Pirate themed epoxy stickers. I trimmed my imaged out and adhered her with 3D dots. Then I finished off with a sentiment, a Tim Holtz ticket stamp, Wild Orchid Crafts flower, pearls and a black pearl swirl.

 I chose to use Baking Marci and coloured her with copic markers. I cut my card out using classic and scalloped circle  Nestabilities. The papers I've used are from my scrap box, I think one of them is from Authentique and the other is Basic Grey. They've been machine stitched to the pink scalloped circle.

Whiff of Joy Advent Calendar Window 15

Hi everyone! Today I am hosting the Whiff of Joy Advent Calendar giveaway :)
 

My card is currently winging it's way to  Suzanne J Dean, the 'boss lady' from the CMC Copic challenge group. It is such an honour to be on her design team and part of her online  copics colouring classes.  

On my card I've used Henry in Christmas Stocking and to be in with a chance of winning it just enter your name in Mr. Linky at the bottom of my post.

My papers are from My Mind's Eye and they were free on Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine a while ago. They've been stitched down onto red and white cardstock. 

I've used copic markers to colour my image and cut it out using oval nestabilites. Then I added some Star Dust stickles for sparkle and some white pearls to embellish.

DT Quixotic Paperie - Gorjuss Moleskines

Hi everyone! How are we all doing with our Holiday preparations?? I am waaaaaaaay behind with just about everything from shopping to cleaning but I'm a last minute kinda gal when it comes to Christmas anyway. I love the panic that is Christmas eve when you realise you forgot to get your mother's gift!! lol.

I recently purchased some moleskine cahier journals to alter as a gifts for my 2 under-appreciated/over-worked  DT Leaders on PaperPlay Challenges -  Dee and Julie

I  remember a discussion a long time ago, with Julie, about how I always coloured Gorjuss girls with blonde hair, so, just for her, I went with black hair, lol.

I stamped Gorjuss - Toadstools on the front of each journal with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copic Markers. I was afraid the copic ink would seep through the kraft but it didn't -  AT ALL!! Then I stamped each of their names underneath the image and added 3 flat backed pearls and some ribbon to embellish. 

As both ladies have received their journals I can finally blog them :)

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Blog Hop

GDT Make it Colourful - Recolour an Image

Hi everyone!! I am thrilled/delighted/excited/nervous!! to be a guest designer this week for Make it Colourful. The challenge is to RECOLOUR AN IMAGE from earlier this year. I knew immediately which image I was gonna use because first time round 1)I used both my scary colours on it and 2) I was seriously short on copic choices for both colours!! 

This is the recoloured version of Geeky Love

I chose much deeper, bolder shades of purples and mixed YRs in with the yellows this time round.
