Take the Scenic Route | Stamping Bella

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing how I made this Sliding Waterfall Card featuring one of the character stamps from A Tale of Two Rosies and the Adventure Sentiments set.

The card folds up to a 4.25" x 5.5" size, and is about 1/4" deep at it's thickest part.

Supplies:
A Tale of Two Rosies rubber stamps
Adventure Sentiments set rubber stamps
Card
Designer paper (paper used: Carta Bella Flower Garden)
Scoring board and bone folder
Scalloped rectangle die
Twine or ribbon
Adhesive and foam tape

How to:
Stamp Rosie with the camera onto white card and colour using your preferred medium. Fussy cut around the outline and set aside to work on the card.

For the card base, cut:
4.25" x 11"
4.25" x 3-3/8"
4.25" x 2.75" (7)
3/8" x 6.5" (2)
3/8" x 1.25" (2)

White card layers:
4" x 2.5" (2)

Paper layers:
4" x 2.5" (7)
3.75" x 2.25" (2)
4" x 5.25"

Score the 4.25" x 11" piece of card at 2.75", 3-1/8", 3.5", 3-7/8", 4.25", 4-5/8", and 5"

Score the 4.25" x 3-3/8" piece on the 3-3/8" side at 0.5" and 5/8"

Score both 3/8" x 6.5" pieces at 0.5" and 6"

Fold and crease all the score lines on the card base.

Take one of the 6.5" long strip of card and fold back the two 0.5" ends. Apply adhesive to one end, fold under, and adhere to the unscored side of the card base, flush with one edge and right up to the 5.5" centre score line. Fold the other end under and adhere, lining it up with the bottom of the card.

Repeat on the opposite side with the second 6.5" strip of card.

Apply adhesive to the 4" x 5.25" piece of designer paper and slip in under the sliding tracks. This piece will cover up the 0.5" sections and prevent the slider from catching on them.

Take the 3/8" x 1.25" pieces of card and slide under the sliding track. Push to the very bottom. Fold loosely in on one side, and then the other. Adhere the ends together, ensuring no glue gets on the slider tracks.

Apply adhesive to both sliding mechanisms, fold the top section of the card down and adhere.

When the glue has dried, push up on the card front to ensure the mechanisms slide up and down the tracks.

Adhere six of the 4" x 2.5" paper layers to the 4.25" x 2.75" card pieces. Adhere the last paper layer to the 2.75" section at the bottom of the card front.

Apply adhesive between the first set of score lines and adhere one of the card panels, lining it up with the 3-1/8" score line. Repeat with the remaining five layering panels, lining each one up with the next score line.

On the last 4.25" x 2.75" piece of card, layer the 4" x 2.5" piece of white card and the 3.75" x 2.25" piece of paper.

Apply adhesive between the last two score lines and adhere the panel flush to the top of the card front.

Fold the score lines on the 4.25" x 3-3/8" piece of card. Apply adhesive to the inside of the 0.5" section and adhere to the bottom of back of the card. This piece will fold up and cover the waterfall.

Layer the 4" x 2.5" piece of white card and the 3.75" x 2.25" piece of paper and adhere them to the front.

Cut a 2.75" x 4.25" scalloped rectangle and layer on some white card and designer paper.

Adhere Rosie on to the rectangle using foam tape.

Wrap some twine or ribbon around the card, as shown, and tie at the bottom.

Apply foam tape to the top half of the rectangle and adhere just to the top flap of the card, securing the twine/ribbon with the foam tape.

Stamp the sentiment from the Adventure Sentiments set, cut into a strip using dies or a paper trimmer and adhere above the image.
