Magnolia VS Stampavie
*Week 20* A colour challenge
RED, BLACK & WHITE (plus the option to use GREY if you wish)
Here is my card, although it doesn't really qualify for the challenge as I didn't use a Stampavie stamp (remind me to read things properly in future, will ya?!!) ...I absolutely adore these papers and have done many projects using them. This card was made with the few scraps I had left over....
Papers - Little Yellow Bicycle, Love Letters & Bazzil white cardstock
Stamp - Whiff of Joy: Melinda Blowing Kisses

Basic Grey Challenges had a sketch challenge this week too...
"This week we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow, which was designed by our fabulous Design Team Member Rica, feel free to rotate, resize and flip the sketch or even all three if you want to :), you can also add any more embellishments etc that you would like to, but remember to use at least one item from basicgrey somewhere on your creation, and most of all have fun :)"
And here is my take on it....

Spring is in the Air
This is the card I made for a challenge on Stamp Something and it was a perfect project to try out the new Making Memories Flower Patch papers and clear stamps.
"In honor of the first day of Spring, we want you to "Think Spring" and create something that makes you feel or think of Spring time. You could use Spring colors, floral images, floral accents, anything you can think of. Let your imagination go wild!"
The Stamp is a Sugar Nellie called 'Catch a Butterfly' that I got from Funky Kits. There are so many wonderful new stamps out right now, it's so hard to choose just a few :S

Mother's Day
This is the Mother's Day card I made today.. as always, skirting on the edge of being late! lol. It started out as a remake of my Paperplay challenge, but half way through I decided to use my Candyfloss & Marshmallow stamps instead. I love how cute the image is!!! Happy Mother's Day sentiment is stamped inside.
The papers are My Mind's Eye - BellaBella from The Scrapbook Store. The ribbon slider and ribbon are ebay purchases :)

I was both pleasantly surprised and thrilled this morning when I read my emails! I've been offered a 4mth position on Pez-A-Doodle Design's DT!!! So happy :) I can't wait to get cracking on my first assignment, once I get over the shock of it! LOL.
Wish me luck!! :)

All Round!
That's the challenge on Basic Grey Challenges this week.
"This week we want to see rounded corners, not an angle in sight ! Please interpret this how you would like, but of course not to forget to use at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creation :)"
And this is what I came up with.....
Papers are BG Cupcake. The image is a Magnolia Edwin and I coloured him using distress inks and the ribbon is American Crafts.

Layout with minibook & Card
We had our Midlands Crop last Sunday!! I really missed not having one in Feb (due to Crafteire) and it felt like forever since the January crop. It was a great day, with lots of laughs as usual. We were even treated to some very tasty cupcakes, brought along by one of the girls.
Here is the class layout. I did a single layout with a 6-page minibook incorporated onto it and from the kit leftovers I made a card!!! The mini book is held closed with a Basic Grey magnetic snap.
The card was made out of the spare pieces of paper and the die cuts in the kit. The only thing added was a button!!!
These papers were such a treat to work with. A touch of ink on all the edges just brought them out perfectly.

BG Challenge - Sketch
I decided to do this BG challenge early in the week, after just skirting in on the final day of last weeks one :)
"This week we are making it easier for you, you will be glad to hear! Martine has designed this fabulous sketch for us all to use.
You can resize and even flip the sketch but please make sure that the original sketch can be recognized easily in your creations, feel free to also add any other embellishments etc to your creations and of course not forgetting to use at least one item from Basic Grey."
So here is my take on it. I followed the sketch closely. Papers are BG Cupcake.

Basic Grey Challenge
This card is one I made for the Basic Grey Challenge Blog.
"For this weeks challenge we would like to see you use pockets in your creation, interpret this how you would like, but of course not to forget to use at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creation :)"
I used BG Blush papers, a Tilda image I received in a swap this week and ribbon from my Raspberry Ribbons kit. The little tag is slipped behind into the 'pocket'.

Love Letters
This is another layout from Crafteire. I adore these papers (Little Yellow Bicycle - Love Letters) and find them a treat to work with. The little pockets are holding journalling tags with the names of the Best Man, Maid of Honour, etc...
I am making my way through another project right now, a Mini-Album & Fold-Up Folio, from the same range. It comes as one big die cut sheet and everything you need is included on it. It's a cute and quick project (when you've got the time to do it of course, LOL).

Another Willow..
Here is another card I made last night, using the WIJ Willow with Hot Chocolate stamp. I decided to try my markers with this one, so I dusted off the Le Plumes that were long since abandoned and gave them a shot. While I found using the markers didn't give the same freedom for shading and 'layering' the colour, I do like the end result.
I'll definately be getting more of these stamps!!! Just can't decide which kid to sell yet.... ;)

A hug in a mug..
LOL, that's the phrase this stamp brings to mind when I see it. This is my very first Whiff of Joy stamp, and it only arrived today :) It's called Willow with hot Chocolate and I absolutely adore it, so I had to have a play with it tonight.
I'm actually pleased with it, just not sure what sentiment to put on it yet ;)

Crafteire Mini Book Kit
This is the K & Company mini book kit that we were given on arrival to Crafteire. It was so quick and easy to make and I used only what came in the kit. I love how it turned out :)
I think these kits were somewhere around €5 each to buy and personally I think they are worth every cent :) TFL!
