Love You Watts | Swedish House Crafts DT

Hi! Today I'm sharing my first  DT project for Swedish House Crafts. I love to make packaging and boxes so today I am sharing a 4"x4" gift box featuring Love You Watts Tilda from Magnolia Stamps

The paper I used on this box is Denim & Girls - No Doubt from Maja Designs. I love these papers because they are all double sided and the designs are so easy to work with.

Copic markers used:
Skin - E00, E11, E04
Hair - E50, E53, E33
Shirt/Hairband - YR20, YR21, YR24, YR27
Light - Y13, Y15, Y19, C1, C3

To add dimension to the light bulb I covered it in glossy accents after I coloured it.

Okay Tilda

Howdy all! It's a very Spring like Sunday morning here, a perfect day to be outdoors.. or for Spring cleaning if that's your thing, lol. I have been really busy of late, along with being sick for nearly 3 weeks, but I managed to get some crafty time in regardless. Don't we always?!

I have really been enjoying using my Magnolia stamps again. Life got so hectic with work, family, design teams, etc and there just wasn't time to colour them up. My first ever rubber stamp was Tilda in Cherry Dress, who remembers her? That was back in 2008! Yikes! I would be horrified to show you the card.. but at the time I thought it was amazing! Happy to say my crafts have improved in the 9 years since then, lol.

So today I'm sharing a card I made featuring Okay Tilda. 💖💖💖

The base for my card was cut on the Silhouette, I just love the variety I have with the Silhouette. It was definitely a purchase worth making. I used it more in one week than I used my cricuit in the 2 years that I had it 😏

I used copic markers to colour her up:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E04, R20, R22, white gel pen
Hair - E50, E53
Flowers - V12, V15, V17
Shirt/Socks/Ground - C1, C3, 0
Pants - R81, R83, R85, R39
Shoes - E21, E42, E43, E25

Other products used:
Flowers - I am Roses
Dies - Flowers. Postage Stamps, Tags.

Challenges:
Craft-Heaven Shop - Spring
Magnolia-licious - Anything Goes with the option of ribbon

Have a great day!

I cut the card base, and the layers, on the silhouette. I also cut layers for the inside.

I added loads of elements and embellishments to the card - corrugated card, tags, flowers, leaves, frotsted pomegranates, die cut leaves and twine.

Hair - E50, E53
Pants - E42, E43, E44, 0

Shoes - C5, C9, 0

Flowers, Leaves & Berries - Wild Orchid Crafts & I am Roses
Dies - Winter Branches & Stitched Tags.

Challenges -

We are still on Christmas break so I haven't been making any new projects, but I have so many cards and 3D projects that I haven't shared on my blog, so I hope to do that over the coming days. Many of them are Christmas cards 😉

August IAR Challenge

It's been such a long time since I made a card just for fun and for a specific challenge, but the ladies over on I Am Roses really inspired me to enter their challenge this month. It's an Anything Goes challenge, but you must use at least 2 IAR products to qualify. There are a couple more challenge details/rules but you can find all of the details on the post.

Another 'first in a long time' is that I have used a Magnolia stamp on my card. I hadn't bought any in such a long time and was pleasantly surprised to see they were smaller than they used to be. This one is called Christmas Candle Tilda.

I coloured her up with copic markers and added a touch of Star Dust stickles to her hat. I fussy cut around her, leaving a little white border. The papers are from Graphic 45's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' collection and I cut the postage stamps from one of the papers in the pack.
All of the dies I've used are from La-La Land Crafts.

A Creative Romance - Don't Be Square

Good afternoon!! We are on the home stretch for the school summer break and I am so ready for it. I am looking forward to the wind down and lack of routine for a little while. This week has been another busy week of swim lessons, hurling, football, youth clubs.. etc.. etc..etc.. Whoever it was who said we become a taxi service for our kids was so so so right!! lol. I still can't believe my 'babies' will be going into 2nd and 4th class in August .... they are growing SO fast.

Today I want to share a card I made for the latest challenge at A Creative Romance. The theme is 'Don't Be Square' - make a shaped card.

I coloured Tilda with distress inks and distress markers. The papers I've chosen are from My Mind's Eye and I've layered up some cheesecloth and lace on top of them. I used a little bit of matching Prima Washi Tape. The metal sentiment stick reads "Capture Life's Moments' and I have threaded some baker's twine through the ends and wrapped it around the back. To finish I added some pearls and a punched butterfly.

Our prize for this challenge is a voucher kindly offered by Nikki at Bunnyzoe's

To be in with a chance of winning you just need to link your entry up on THIS POST.

Kraftin' Kimmie January Release Sneak Peeks - Day 1

Good morning! It's the first day of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December peeks and today the Krafty team are showcasing fabulous new images by Cheryl Alger.
This stamp comes as part of a set of three images with five coordinating sentiments and is called Lovely Lulu

My papers are by Magnolia and I've stitched them down onto blue and white cardstock. The ribbon is from Wild Orchid Craft. I've flossed the button with baker's twine and tied it around the ribbon.

I added clear skittles to look like water droplets.

My sweet Lulu was coloured with copic markers and then I used circle nestabilities to cut out the circle, mounting it onto a blue scalloped circle also cut with nestabilities.

You can find a list of direct links to all participating design team members HERE

Be sure to leave comments as one random commenter will receive Cheryl’s new set!

Have fun!

GDT Just Magnolia & La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday

Good morning!! Well this is my last week as guest designer on Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar Challenges. It's been fun and I would like to thank the wonderful DT for having me.

This week the challenge is Buttons, Bows and Blooms

I love to alter boxes but hadn't done one in a while so I decided to make a Baby Keepsake Gift Set. To give you an idea of the size of the box, my card is 6x6.. so it's quite big and would hold plenty.

The papers are older ones, but among my favourites, from Magnolia. On the card I've inked and stitched them onto white cardstock. I am loving doing double row stitching :D

I've kept the box and card as coordinated as I could using the same papers, the doily and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

My sweet Magnolia baby has been coloured using copic markers - E00, 01. 11. R20, 81, 83, 85 and I've added Star Dust Stickles to her wings.  The sentiment on the tiny tag is from Studio G. The buttons and seam binding are from my stash and the pink bakers twine is from Quixotic Paperie.

For the box I first painted it with white acrylic paint and once it had dried I added the paper.  The beautiful rose trim has been in my stash for a while but it was perfect for this project.

The chipboard leaves are from Make it Crafty, purchased from Quixotic Paperie. I've painted them and glittered them. The calendar turn is by Maya Road. I've finished off by adding some pearls.

Challenges -
TOMIC - Stitching, Real or Faux
Make it Colourful - MiC Chipboards: No Image
Try It On Tuesday  -  Alter something to give as a gift
Tuesday Throwdown - Create a matching set

I am using one of the newly released stamps called Skeleton Luka

My papers for this card are again, older papers, this time from Basic Grey. They are from the Eerie collection. All of the embellies are from a box in my stash that I store my little Halloween bits in. The sentiment is from House Mouse Halloween set and the adage ticket is from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology range.

Copic Markers -
Skin E00, 01, 11. R20
Greys - C1, 3, 5, 8
Greens - G20, 21, 24
Oranges - YR02, 14, 18

Good morning and happy Saturday!

It's time for another challenge over on Basic Grey Challenges and this fortnight we want to see Easter/Spring projects.

I broke out an old{ish} Magnolia for this one. The papers I've chosen to use are Nook & Pantry 6x6, matted with pale yellow and green cardstock. Good morning and happy Saturday. I have 2 cards to share today, each very different.

First up is the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challlenge. Another wonderful sketch to follow. I took a few liberties with this one but you can still see the original sketch in my card.

My papers are Rose Garden, by Papermania and I've inked them with Brushed Cordoroy distress ink. Stamps are from both the Afternooon Tea Sentiments and Vintage Ornaments collections. I've added some white lace and pink distressed seambinding and finished off by stitching all of my papers.

***************************
Next up is CES Challenges and this week we would like to see BOLD & BRIGHT! So this is about as bold and bright as I get.

I also followed the sketch on The Sugar Bowl. My Sassy image has been coloured using copic sketch markers. The papers are Magnolia's Fairytale collections and they've been machine stitched. Pocket Full of Posies - Autumn Leaves

Happy Monday!! The kids are back in school after the weekend and the house is silent once more.. bliss!! Love those kids dearly but boy is it nice to have some quiet time :)

I will be back a little later with some news and a very special post.. *happy dance!!* but for now I would like to share my Pocket Full of Posies DT card. Our theme this challenge is Autumn Leaves - interpreted how you please - use fall colours, use leaves, use both!! It's up to you.

We are being sponsored by Craft Brulee and the prize for one lucky entrant is a $10 store voucher.

I used another Maggie for this card, They've been sorely neglected lately and I am really enjoying inking them up again.

My papers are beautiful Websters Pages. I find these so hard to use because I don't want to cover them up with anything, lol. I'm not sure which collection my Maggie is from - she's been coloured with copics, cut out and mounted on 3D pop dots. The lace between the layers is from Craft Brulee, I love how wide it is!!

The fibres on I've used are from The Crafty Alley's August kit and the leaf is from the July kit - I've not got a whole lot left of these kits, lol. I am entering into their competition which is Autumn themed -  you must use Orange, Brown and Red.

The flowers are WO Crafts and they've been inked with just a touch ofBrushed Cordoroy distress ink.

I'm also entering into Simon Say Stamp - Autumn and Just Magnolia - Anything Goes.

Copics:
Skin: E21, 51, 00, 000 & E02(cheeks)
Shirt: YR 15, 16, 18

CES Challenges - Get ahead, Get a Hat & WCMD Candy

Happy World Card Making Day!! I have plans to get loads of crafty time in today {but can't say that out loud in case the kids hear!!}. Hubby is on childminding duty so we'll see how that works out, lol.  What are your plans for today?? Leave a note telling me what you have in mind for today and I send a little something to a random commenter.

This week's CES challenge is all about hats... you can use any image you like as long as there's a hat somewhere on your card. I used another oldie Maggie that I bought and have rarely inked her up. I've used copic sketch markers to colour her {listed at the bottom of the post}

I cut her out using the Dahlia nesties and sponged the background using Brushed Cordoroy. I've recently been asked how I get the white edge on my image, this is done very simply by leaving the nestie die on while sponging.

My papers are Memory Box Fernbrae and matched the autumnal feel to the card perfectly, so much so that I didn't use any layering except for the ribbon & lace. To embellish I added 2 hat pins, and I made a couple of photo corners to take the bare look off the top half of the card.

Copics:
Skin: E21. 51, 00, 000 & E02(cheeks)
Dress & Hat: YG93, 95, 97
Boots & Basket: E42, 43, 44
Leaves: YR18, E53

I'm also going to enter this card into Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is Autumn photo inspiration and another for Just Magnolia which is Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in today, don't forget to leave a note telling me what you'll be doing for World Card Making Day.

Stampin' for the Weekend - Autumn Inspiration

Good afternoon bloggers!! I've ranted and raved about silly Blogger on my other blog so I won't start again but let it be noted that I'm extremely stressed out today, lol.

Our challenge on Stampin' for the Weekend is Autumn Inspiration. We would like you to use the wonderful oranges, greens & browns of autumn on your creation.

Don't you just love this Maggie??!! It's an oldie but a goodie - I bought her on ebay a while back.  I've coloured her using copic sketch markers, cut her out using my circle nesties and shaded the background with distress inks.

My papers are Basic Grey Mellow.. and they are another of my favourite BG lines. They've been inked with brushed cordoroy. The ribbons are from one of the Raspberry Ribbons kits and my flowers are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts - I think they're missing some green though.  hmmm!!

I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is an Autumn photo inspiration challenge,  Copic Creations Challenge who want to see orange (fall/halloween), and Just Magnolia's monthly challenge Anything Goes

Oh lord, it's taken me so long to get this post done.. it's 1pm and I've done nothing else all day.. OK, off to whip the house into shape before the kiddos get home and wreck it again!

Please do take a little time to visit my teamies' blogs and leave them some love:)

PaperPlay Challenge - Bon Voyage

Well I'm really hoping y'all are reading this because if not then blogger didn't publish my scheduled posts, lol.

This week on PaperPlay Challenges our theme is Bon Voyage - as August is the month a lot of people take vacations. However Bon Voyage could also mean leaving your job, moving home or moving to a new country.. the choice is yours!!

We are being sponsored  by Simon Says Stamp and Heidi has very generously offered our winner a $15 voucher to spend in the Simon Says Stamp store.

I used one of the new Tildas from Magnolia's Summer Kit and coloured her with copics. Have to say, this poor Tilda looks a little tubby around the middle, lol. Maybe she's coming home from a great vacation and forgot the diet ;) !! The shells are also from the kit. Of course my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've added loads of my favorite embellies.. PEARLS!! lol.

Well that's it from me for today. I am probably washed out of it in the UK but hopefully not washed out to sea!!

Thanks for visiting!!

ABC Challenges - A is for August

Hi again.. a very quick post from me today. It's been one of those weeks where anything that could have gone wrong, has gone wrong, lol.

Anyway, the challenge for this fortnight on ABC Challenges is to make a card/layout/etc using your interpretation of August. For some people it could be vacation time, school time or even the beginning of Autumn depending on where you live in the world.

We are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the prize is a voucher to spend in their online store.

Photobucket

I went with a Summer Vacation theme and am also entering into Simon Says Stamp challenge of song inspiration - We're all Going on a Summer Holiday by Cliff Richard is my song inspiration :)

I used a cutie pie of a Magnolia image from last year's summer kit and masked her to sit on the rubber tube. I've coloured her using copic markers. I made the 'clouds' using a hand cut template and Tumbled Glass distress ink.

The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - so this card will also be entered into their challenge of Lovely Lace. The doily, Tim Holtz adage ticket and pearls are from my stash.

Be sure to pop over to the ABC Challenge blog to see my wonderful teamies' creations!!

Crafty Angels meets Waltzing Mouse

Good morning!! This week over on Crafty Angels our theme is Shabby Chic

I used the sketch from Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge blog.

I recently bought some of the older Tildas from ebay and thought this was the perfect opportunity to ink one up. She's been coloured using TH distress inks and, as always, I've stickled the wings as we all know Tildas need a little Star Dust on their wings ;)

She is sitting on a TH diecut that Katie very kindly sent to me.  It's been inked with Brushed Cordoroy. I used a sentiment from WMS Rescue Rememdies Additions and a Very Vintage Labels 2 stamp to frame it. The gorgeous swirl is also from the Labels 2 set.

My papers are My Mind's Eye "Quite Contrary" and they were free on a crafting magazine that I picked up last week... well the magazine cost €5.80.. but it still feels like a bargain, lol. All of my papers have been ripped and inked and as always, my flowers have been inked and stickled.

Thanks for popping by today and have a great Monday

Crafty Angels Birthday Bash

Hi everyone!! Before I get to my class projects from the Crafty Angels birthday bash I would like to share some Creative Card Crew news. Paula, our fabby 'leader' has decided to step down for personal reasons and has asked the lovely Janna to take over the blog. I hope you will all hop over to wish her luck in this new venture!!

Now, on to my classes. The first one was 'Colouring with Distress Inks' and this is the card I made for it. Magnolia images are just perfect for teaching the art of using inks as a colouring medium because of their size and features. And the Fairytale range are just so pretty that it HAD to one of them, lol.

This mini book was my other class. Fabulous Bo Bunny Sophie papers complimented by deep pink and brown cardstock. The book is 6x6 not including the tabs.

Thanks for popping in, I'll be back later with my card for the Bella Tucker Blog hop and I'll have some delicious candy up for grabs too!!!

Crafty Angels - One for the Girls

Good morning!! I have the kiddos home with me today as I went and left my car keys in my hubby's jeep and he's gone away for the day... of course the kids are delighted, lol, but me.. not so much!! They are being really good and even want to help clean today so I won't complain too much :D

Our theme on Crafty Angels this week is ONE FOR THE GIRLS.

I am also entering into Just Magnolia's special monthly challenge which is "It takes 2". They are asking that you use 2 or more Magnolia images on your project (not including sentiments)

I have been meaning to finish off this album for a while now. It's the one I had planned on doing for a class a while back but the event was unfortunately cancelled. However, since I'd already come up with the idea of using these coasters as album pages AND I had the papers I had requested for the class (K&Co. "McKenna") in my stash I went ahead and made it for myself anyway - only I turned it into a recipe book.

I used Magnolia's "Yummy for your Tummy" collection and in total I used 15 of their images throughout the book. There are 3 on the front cover not counting the 'Recipe' stamp.

I am still deciding on recipes and will take pics of the inside pages as soon as I have them added.

Most of the supplies I've used are avaiable on Crafty Angels website.

Papers: K & Company 'McKenna'
Images: Magnolia
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace & Pearls : Crafty Angels
Tools (including inside): Copic Markers, MS  Doily Punch, X-Cut Scallop Punch, MS Heart lace Punch, TH distress inks & stickles.

My sparkly flowers :D

Thanks for popping in, please do visit my teamies' blogs to see their girly creations!!

Happy Craftying
