Waltzingmouse Stamps July Release Previews - Day 2

Hi and welcome to day 2 of Waltzingmouse Stamps pre-release previews. I do hope you enjoyed yesterdays samples from the design team.

Today we are showcasing Big Day Essentials and Big Day Additions. 2 wonderful sets comprising of must have sentiments. I decided to go with an Anniversary themed card as it's my wedding anniversary next month. I figure if hubby sees enough anniversary cards he might just remember ours, lol.

I also made an engagement card for a friend who has finally set a date after many years with her partner.. we were starting to lose hope that they would ever marry ;)

Check out what the rest of the DT have done with these fabulous sets.....

Hi everyone! Well I hope Day 1 of Waltzingmouse Stamps June SOAP has inspired you. As you know, we will be showcasing the May release stamp sets -  Dainty Doilies Large, Dainty Doilies small, Join Us, Say it Loud and Gingham & Co.  - for 3 days and on Day 4 we are rewinding to showcase Free Spirit Boy.

Today I have created a matching Card and Bottle Tag set using the wonderfully verstatile Join Us stamp set.

My papers are Pink Paislee's Father Christmas. I've matched it with cream linen card and black card from the Paper Mill. I've stitched them all down using the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine.

The borders have been punched using Martha Stewart's Antique Lace punch and the beautiful ribbon is from East of India. I just love the quality and luxurious feel to this ribbon.

Tools used
Cuttlebug, Circle and Scalloped circle Nestabilities, MS Lace Punch. Stapler, Sewing Machine.

Supplies used
Paper - Pink Paislee Father Christmas, cardstock {black, cream} Momento Tuxedo Black ink. East of India Ribbon. White thread.

Waltzingmouse Stamp of Approval Parade {SOAP}

Good morning bloggers!! As you may know Waltzingmouse Stamps’ own Claire Brennan announced that WMS will be releasing new sets every other month from now on as Claire felt her customers were not realising the full potential from each set before a whole new release was looming.  But that doesn’t mean that the WMS Design Team is going to leave you high and dry for the months there won't be new releases... noooo siree!! Today, and for the next three days,  we will review last month’s release sets, as well as a special treat for you on the 4th day that you don't wanna miss ;) …but more about that later.

You should have reached my blog through Mona's Blog, but if not don't worry, the full list of ladies is at the bottom of this post.

I found the tutorial for this Trifold Shutter card after one of the lovely ladies mentioned it on the Waltzingmouse Facebook group. I love, love, love making cards that involve a lot of paperfolding!!

While this card was a joy to make, it was NOT a joy to photograph, lol. No matter what way I took the pic the card looked crooked.. so it is what it is, lol.

Here are some close ups of each stamp set that I used......

Sentiment from Vintage Banners

Bitty Banners - too cute!!!

This panel is for your own personal message. The swirls are from Vintage Banners and I've added a white pearl to the centre of each one.

Very Vintage Labels 18 & Say it with Style. I don't have the Labels 18 dies {yet!!!} so I cut it out using my scissors. Then I mounted it on black card and trimmed around the whole thing just leaving a slight border.

Thank you so much for peeping into my blog today. I appreciate the time you've taken to visit.

Now you need to head on over to Sarah Martina's Blog for even more inspiration....

And just in case you've lost your way, here is the complete list :)

CES Challenges - Vintage Christmas

Good morning. We have SNOW!! Well it's only a sprinkling but we still have some :D It's so pretty to look at but man is it cold. The kids asked me to light the fire as downstairs is so much cooler than upstairs in this house, lol. I'm thinking it's a movie & crafty day :D

This week's challenge on CES Challenges, as chosen by Jen, is

Vintage Christmas

Vintage really used to take me out of my comfort zone but I am slowly learning to LOVE it.

I used a mix of papers - My Mind's Eye "I Believe" and Pink Paislee "Father Christmas". All of my papers have been distressed with my scissors and inked with Antique Linen .

The beautiful ribbon is by East of India. I just adore their ribbon, the quality is second to none. Unfortunately I'm almost out and the store I used to get it from no longer carries it :( So I you know of somewhere that does carry it AND ships to Ireland please do let me know!!

I also made this card to enter into Cardz n Scrapz forum challenge, which ended yesterday. They wanted to see Lace, Paper Pleating and Distressing. I think I got them covered, lol. And I'm entering the Simon Says Stamp challenge - "Let it Snow"

The prize for this challenge is a set of ''Father Christmas'' 6x6 papers by Pink Paislee.

Have a wonderful Saturday!!

CES Challenges Baby Bonanza & Tag it for SFTW

Good morning!! I have 2 baby cards to share today.. one for a {late} Stampin' for the Weekend and the other for CES Challenges.

I'll start with CES Challenges and our theme is BABY BONANZA.

I am also entering this card in to the Waltzing Mouse Sketches challenge.

My papers are Pink Paislee 'Cupid' and they've been inked with Antique Linen distress ink. I used both lace and pale pink sheer ribbon - I love how lush they are together!! I made the tag myself and stamped a Studio G sentiment on it. The image stamp is one from a huge box of wooden stamps I bought on QVC aaaaaages ago!

The prize for this challenge is a set of gorgeous fabric brads and ribbons by My Mind's Eye.

Next up is Stampin' for the Weekend and our challenge this week is TAG IT. Quite simply, use a tag on your creation.

We are being sponsored by Meljen's Designs and my cute image is called Cuddle Cloud Baby. I've coloured it using copic sketch markers. My papers are MeLody Ross 'Homespun Chic' and they've been distressed with Victorian Velvet. To embellish I've added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, some pearl spray and a butterfly that's been punched out using the X- cut 3D punch.

I'm also going to enter this into a few challenges:
Cute Card Thursday's challenge - A tweet and a flutter.
Secret Crafter - Anything Goes
Stamp Something - Use A Digi

Well that's it from me for today. I have promised my kiddos I'd bring them to the play centre this morning and hopefully it will tire them out so that I can have crafty play time this afternoon.

Thanks for visiting :)

Stampin' for the Weekend meets Sunday Sketch & Stamp

This week on Stampin for the Weekend we have a recipe challenge for you.

3 Papers, 2 Flowers and 1 Ribbon

we have 2 sponsors this week - Meljen's Designs with 4 digi images and Peachy Keen Stamps with $25 store vouchers - so there is double the chance to win!!

I used the sweetest image by Meljen's on my card.....

....is this just too cute for words!!??!! I coloured with copic markers and shaded the background using Broken China & an ink blender. I used oval nestabilities to cut out the image and Labels 10 for the cardstock behind it.

My papers are Pink Paislee Queen Bee collection. The lucious lace is from Fantastic Ribbons and the pearls are from my stash.

I am entering this card into the Papertake Weekly challenge - In the Garden

I made a second card using another of Meljen's images and the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp

I started out using the recipe for SFTW but then got a bit sidetracked and went overboard with the flowers, lol.

I am also entering this card into Wild Orchid Crafts first challenge - Say it with Flowers.
