Hi guys!! Today I have a card to share which features Madison has a Margarita, one of the Uptown Girls, from Stamping Bella.

She's been stamped out onto Make it Colour Blending card with Memento black ink and partially coloured up with copic markers. I paper pieced her dress from the same paper collection as I used on to make my card.

I just LOVE the sentiment that comes with this stamp, it's perfect!! .. and can totally relate to it, ha!!

The white, resin look, flowers (and the bow) I've used have been handmade by moi !! I got some amazing new moulds from WOW! Embossing Powder and last night while I was watching Revolution on my laptop I spotted a pack of modelling clay on my shelf.. so I sat and made flowers and bows. So easy, so much fun and I am SO gonna make more later today.

Courage is being yourself...

Afternoon bloggers!!  I was searching through my posts on blogger when I came across this one, in draft mode, which was scheduled to go live last week and I have been so busy that I didn't realise it hadn't.. not cool Blogger, NOT cool!!!

Anyway, I have something a little different to share with you. I recently signed up to participate in a mixed media circle journal and so I tried my hand at making a mixed media canvas as one of my design team projects for Quixotic Paperie

The stamp I've featured is from Susana Loves Stamps' NEW mixed media release, Blank Canvas, and this one is called Flights of Botanica. She has been stamped out using Adirondack paint.

For the background I used 4 different colour sprays (Glimmer Mist & Dylusions). Then I layered on a white doily, which I painted over, and stamped out my sentiment. I added some Prima washi tape and a metal charm tied with button floss. I cut the butterfly out from some Prima paper and coated it with glossy accents. To finish I doodled on some stitching.

I love how it turned out and will definitely be dabbling a bit more :D

DT Quixotic Paperie - Altered Door Hanger

Hi everyone!! Today it's my turn to share a little inspiration over on the Quixotic Paperie Blog and I have a project to share which features the cutest little monster from the Oddly Sweet Curiosities Set 1 by SCACD

I had some bare chipboard door hangers that I purchased from Craty Cutting a while back, and thought this image was PERFECT for hanging on my craft room door - of course I didn't bargain on a 9yo boy swiping it the first chance he got. Seriously, I have nothing left with these children of mine!! :P

First I painted it with white acrylic paint and then covered it with patterned papers. Once the papers were stuck down I sanded the edges to smooth them out.

I stamped my image onto Make it Crafty Blending Card and coloured it up with copic markers. I cut it out using circle nestabilities and sponged the background with distress ink. Then I added my layers to the door hanger, using some flossed buttons and lace trim to embellish.

I simply stamped out the sentiement with Memento black ink, rounded the corners and adhered it to the door hanger with 3D foam.

LOL! Love that sentiment!!!

Well that's it from me for today. Thank you so much for dropping in on me
Have a wonderful day
