Waltzingmouse Stamps July Release Previews - Day 2

Hi and welcome to day 2 of Waltzingmouse Stamps pre-release previews. I do hope you enjoyed yesterdays samples from the design team.

Today we are showcasing Big Day Essentials and Big Day Additions. 2 wonderful sets comprising of must have sentiments. I decided to go with an Anniversary themed card as it's my wedding anniversary next month. I figure if hubby sees enough anniversary cards he might just remember ours, lol.

I also made an engagement card for a friend who has finally set a date after many years with her partner.. we were starting to lose hope that they would ever marry ;)

Check out what the rest of the DT have done with these fabulous sets.....

Waltzingmouse Stamps July Release Previews - Day 1

Good morning!! I am very excited to be previewing the new release stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps which will be available to purchase on July 1st.

Today the WMS design team are previewing 3 of the new sets - Cameo to Go, Cameo Creations & Ovals, Classic Frames

My first card I have used both Ovals, Classic Frames and Cameo Creations. I've used my nestabilities to cut out the oval and scalloped oval. The cameo silhouette has been stamped, restamped with clear embossing ink and then embossed with clear powder.

For my next card I've used one of the wonderful sentiments from Cameo to Go. Again, I used my nesties to cut out an oval and scalloped oval, then I cut out the smaller scalloped oval in the centre to make a frame. I cut them both in half and layered the scalloped frame over the white half oval.

For your convenience, here is the list of ladies who are also previewing today...

Basic Grey Challenges - Stitching

Hi everyone!! Well it's Saturday and that means a brand new challenge on Basic Grey Challenges

This fortnight we would love to see you use STITCHING on your creations. It can be real or faux stitching, the choice is yours.

I have fallen in love with Teddy Bea and Teddy Bo's.. for real. I'm not usually good with bears but how could you go wrong with these images?!!  Beeeeyond sweet!!

I have used Basic Grey Sweet Threads papers, all machine stitched. Can't get enough of them.. you may have noticed that I've used them once or twice before, lol. Running out fast.. need more!!

I had kept the embellies light - I just added some flowers, pearls and seam binding. Then I found an old necklace while tidying up so I pulled it apart and added some more bling.. which led to the Star Dust stickles coming out... you see how these things snowball??!! lol. Anywhooo... as it's now all glammed up I can enter it into the Teddy Bo Challenge which is themed Glam it Up.

Copics Used:
E31, 33, 35, 37, 50, 51, 53.

La-La Land Crafts Inspirational Friday

Good morning!!
Today I’d like to share a card that I’ve made for the La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday.
Each week on Monday and Friday the La-La Land Crafts DT will bring you an inspirational theme that you can play along to using your La-La Land stamps. All you have to do is post your projects in the Customer Gallery and at the end of the month a random entrant will be chosen to award a prize to.

This week's theme was set by Pop's and she has chosen ‘A Splash of Red’

The stamp I've used is called Fancy Marci. I've coloured her with copics, trimmed her out and mounted her on 3D dots.

The papers are Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper and they've been machined stitched to a deep red cardstock. I've used my cirlce and scalloped circle nesties and created a 'sky' background behind Marci with Crushed Glass distress ink and a handcut cloud template. The doily has been distressed with Brushed Cordoroy ink.

To embellish I've added some teal rose trim, white seam binding, Wild Orchid Craft flowers, pins, pearls and a punched butterfly adorned with 3 tiny pearls. The sentiment I stamped on 2 tags is by Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Challenges -
Art Impressions Stamps Challenge -  Buttons and/or bows
C.R.A.F.T. - Stitching

Tickled Pink Stamps, Make it Colourful & DT Whiff of Joy

Hi everyone!! It's been a sad week here. My son's friend lost his younger brother suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday. I've known the father's side of this family since I was a teenager and would have spent a lot of time with them. Having a son of the same age also makes it so hard to imagine what they are going through.

So today I'm playing catch  up with posting as I really wasn't up to blogging much this week.  Sorry, it's a long post :)

Over on Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge we have a fabulous sketch by Emma for you. I have used one of the gorgeous new Pinkettes - Lil Tom Boyz Faith.

My papers are My Mind's Eye, matted with dark brown cardstock and machine stitched. I've punched a border on white cardstock using the Martha Stewart Antique Lace punch. The tag behind the image the image reads the classic "What little girls are made of" verse.

The papers I've used are by Bo Bunny, matted on light teal cardstock and machine stitched. To embellish I've used light mink seambinding, a Tim Holtz token & some yellow pearl brads. The background stamp behind my image is from the I love School set in the collection

Waltzingmouse Stamps SOAP - Day 4 Rewind

Good morning! Soooo sorry I'm late, I've had no internet connection.. grrr!!

Anywhoooo...  I hope you have been enjoying our SOAP festivities and another look at the stamp sets which were released in May - Dainty Doilies Large, Dainty Doilies small, Join Us, Say it Loud & Gingham & Co.

Today we are rewinding back to an older set - Free Spirit Boy - which is my all time favourite boy set for teens.

I had some help with this card, in the form of a 7yr old little man. He got to decide on he stamps, colours and sentiment - and yes, the card is for him, lol. His perception of the images on the card are bubbles from the sea and skateboarding on a big wave.. which would be AWESOME, apparently. I just love his imagination :D

The inks are Baja Breeze by Stampin Up & Momento Tuxedo Black, stamped on cream card from The PaperMill, which I've distressed and inked. The card base is Kraft.

I've just added some black buttons for embellishments.

The sentiment is from the co-ordinating Free Spirit Sentiments

And here is the list of ladies rewinding to Free Spirit Boy today -
