Some Odd Girl Annual Customer Hol-ODD-Day Hop

Hi everyone. Some Odd Girl are having a hop for anyone who wants to join in to show off an Odd holiday creation! All you need to do is link up a holiday project using a SOG image. There are also some extra prizes if you enter your card into one of 4 categories, and I'm entering mine into the All White category. White on White is one of my favourite things to do and I really enjoyed making the card - even if I did spend an age trying to dry stickles with a heat gun, lol. 

Apologies for the poor picture, white on white is a nightmare to photo and my light tent just made it nigh on impossible so I had to take the pic on my countertop using the flash on my camera. 

On my card I used white card, white vellum, off white pearls, white snowballs, white flowers {I painted the stems white}, a grungeboard heart and hinge which I've painted white and added loads of glitter to and a white punched butterfly. I embossed the layers with the Sizzix snowflake die.

DT Quixotic Paperie - Sweetest Wishes

Hi everyone!! Man it's cold here today - 5C and raining heavy as we speak. Winter is definitely in, another couple of degrees lower and we'd have snow. Perfect weather for a blazing fire and a good movie :)

Today I would like to share a card I made using one of Some Odd Girl's rubber stamp sets - Holly Day Gwen which I have stamped onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured with Copic markers. Then I trimmed my image out and adhered it to the card on 3D foam dots. 

The papers I've used are from My Mind's Eye and I've stitched them down onto teal cardstock. The sentiment comes with the image set. The gift is from another Some Odd Girl Set called Deer Mae.

To embellish I've just added some pearls, a flower and a button which I have threaded some Sew Easy fancy floss {bakers twine} through.

Some Odd Girl - Black and White

Well it seems that lately I can't hold a date in my head for love nor money - at least not when I'm organised and ahead with my DT projects *hang head*. I swear my offspring are to blame, driving me demented fighting because they're stuck indoors due to awful weather again. Anywhooooooo......

This is my last project as Some Odd Girl's guest designer. Wow, the last 2mths have FLOWN by. Our theme for this challenge is to use a Black and White Image. Your project doesn't have to be black and white but your image must be. For my card I've used Mad Hatter Kody

I decided to go all black and white and used Meadowlark papers by My Mind's Eye and black & white Sew Easy bakers twine. 

 

 This challenge runs thru Tuesday Nov 1 @ midnight EST. And the prize for the winner will be 2 digis from SomeOddGirl.com

Some Odd Girl - A sketch challenge

Woah! It's October, where are the weeks going??!! I dare not tell you how long it is until Christmas ;) This week the challenge over on Some Odd Girl is a great sketch to follow. Interpret the sketch however you'd like, but we must be able to SEE the sketch in your creations.

I have used Winter Mae, one of the new release digis and I've coloured her using copic markers. 

The trim on her hat and boots has been done using Star Dust Stickles.

Some Odd Girl - New Release

Hi everyone! Well if you haven't heard by now, I'm sick.. and if you haven't heard by now you must have been under a rock because I have NOT been quiet about the fact that I AM SICK.. yes my darling children brought home the dreaded lurgy from school and passed it along to me. Right now, I'm at Rudolf stage bordering on leprosy of the nose stage.... FUN TIMES my friends!!

 Anywhooooooo, as you all know {or not!} I am guest designer for Some Odd Girl for the next couple of months and therefore I get to play with delightful goodies and share them with you! Today is no exception.. 

Meet GWEN! The newest addition to the SOG Family! Gwen is exclusive to the Clear Stamps collections and is so versatile that even though she is part of the holiday release you can use her all year round.

Some Odd Girl GDT & Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges

Hi everyone. Well it's been one of those weeks. Loads to do but a million and one distractions so nothing getting done! I will be glad to see the weekend!.

Today I have 2 cards to share..... but first I just wanted to update on the GBCE event being held in the Athlone Springs Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath from Sept 30th- Oct 2nd. We have twisted both of her arms and finally convinced Miss Mouse herself, from Waltzingmouse Stamps to attend!!! There will be a WMS class and the store will be there too!! All the details can be found on the GBCE blog :)

I recently won the Some Odd Girl Guest challenge over on Facebook so I get to be their Guest Designer for the next 2 mths - woot woot!! The first challenge couldn't have been more perfect for me as I LOVE to stitch my cards. -- yup, the challenge is Stitching, Real or Faux. 

Don't you just adore this little cutie - Kiss a Prince Tia. The sentiment is from Create with TLC and I just had to use it with this image, lol. 

My papers are My Mind's Eye Lost & Found "Blush" and they've been matted and stitched down onto pink and brown cardstock from The Paper Mill. I used the scalloped circle nesties to matt my image.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge and some ODD Tags

Hi!! Happy Sunday! I hope you're having a very peaceful day where ever you are today. Our household is having a lazy pyjama Sunday filled with popcorn, movies and a little colouring ;) 

I have a few things to share that I made over the week.. starting with a card I made for the Sugar Bowl Challenges. 

I had to resize some of the elements of the sketch to suit my image as she's quite tall {lucky her!!}.

The papers are Graphic 45 'Steampunk', dark brown cardstock and kraft card. All of my papers have been machine stitched - I love how the double row around my image turned out.

Next is 2 tags I made for Some Odd Girl. 

This first one is for their current challenge and for their Facebook Guest Challenge, which is to use 2 complimenary colours from the colour wheel. You just can't fail a with Green/Orange combo!

The second one was also for the Facebook Challenge. I made a double tag, the back one being a money tag.. or it could be used to hold a gift card.

Funny thing - I forgot I put the money in there to take the photos, put the tag away and only found the money when I was showing my little one the tag days later, lol. 

The papers are Afternoon Muse and they were in the kit I won from Lucky Girl Crafts. I am LOVING this kit!!
