Crafting Ireland Guest Post featuring Waltzingmouse Stamps

I have a new Waltzingmouse Stamps guest post up on the Crafting Ireland blog focusing on adding lots of layers to your cards using die cuts, doilies and other elements. Layers can give your cards a rich, luxurious feel and you can also have many surprise elements like pull out tags and gift card envelopes to make your card that little bit extra special.

Supplies -
WMS Cutting Edge Dies - Stitched Tags
Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad
Red & Green distress ink
Black Ink

My card base is 147mm x 294mm folded in half.
I cut the layers at:
 Bottom Panel  - Pink Cardstock - 143mm x 143mm, Patterned paper 140mm x 140mm
Top Panel - Pink cardstock - 120mm x 120mm, White Cardstock - 117mm x 117mm, Patterned Paper 114mm x 114mm

Set to one side

Taking Black ink stamp out the packet seed onto white cardstock

Ink the Strawberry from Vintage Garden - Produce and stamp it onto a scratch piece of paper, then restamp into the middle of the packet seed. Twice stamping gives it a more distressed look.

Stamp the sentiment from Vintage Garden - Packet Seed, in black ink, across the Strawberry

Using your scissors, cut around the outline, leaving a little bit of white outside the line.

Taking the Stitched Tags Die cut out numerous tags of different sizes, in coordinating patterned paper. Also, cut some doilies in half.

Layer some of the doilies between the bottom and top panels, on each side. The layer more doilies and the tags behind the Packet Seed. Add twine/ribbon through the top of some tags  - you can also add flower/buttons.

Embellish the card with more die cut flowers and add some pearls/liquid pearls to the centre of each one. Finish the card by adding some white pearls.

Stamping Bella Bellariffic Friday - A Sketch

Howdy all!! The new Bellriffic Friday post is up over on the Stamping Bella Blog and this past week we had a sketch to work with.

This is my take on it..

I used the super gorgeous Paisley has a Prezzie in my favourite colours - Teal and Mustard. I used Full Circle Element on the background. I The papers are from Kaisercraft and I've matted them with teal and white cardstock. To embellish I tied a bow with some turquoise and white ribbons and tied a large button around centre. I also added some white pearls.

Next week's Bellariffic Friday is an Inspiration Photo - fabulous colours, no??  :D

Cardz 'n' Scrapz - Clean and Simple Card Set

Today I have a couple of CAS cards to share, using products from the Cardz 'n' Scrapz June kit.

Both cards are C6 and use white carstock bases. I cut 2 panels at 100mm x 143mm, one for the front panel on each card. On both I added some modelling paste through the TCW 6x6 Harlequin stencil

Whilst the paste dried I cut some strips of paper from the Basic Grey Highline 6x6 paper pad and fishtailed them to make pennants. I adhered 2 of the pennants with 3D foam tape and then adhered the 3rd penant directly onto them using wet glue.

I used the Jillibean Soup Wise Word stickers to add the sentiments, arrow and silhouette to both cards.

Products Used

Altered Canvas Project - Love Family Life

Good morning :) This month's theme over on the WOW! Embossing blog is Gardens

I created an altered  4" x 6" Box Canvas wall hanging taking inspiration from the colourful gardens around my street right now.

I prepared the canvas with a layer of gesso and quickly dried it with my heat gun. Then I layered on some tissue paper and applied another coat of gesso over it, before spraying the canvas in blues and greens - to represent grass and sky.

Taking the Cracked Leather stamp and Versamark ink I first heat embossed some Olive powder and then I used the stamp again with black Archival ink. I applied some gold embossing paste and set it aside to dry.

While my embossing paste was drying I made some Flowers and a red Heart. I don't have a melt-pot so I used some Foil Melt-It cases and my heat gun to melt the powders and Melt-It. For the flowers I used Bright White and for the heart I used Apple Red

I took some white chipboard letters and heat embossed them with Metallic Copper. I used the heart in place of the dot over the I and then layerd on all my flowers -  also adding some buttons, twine and a metal hinge.

WOW! Products Used

You will find this for sale over on my Esty Shop :)

La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - Handmade Embellishments

Good morning! Our Inspiration theme this week on La-La Land Crafts is Handmade Embellishments.

I altered the La-La Land Crafts Trinket Box and my embellishments are made using the Rolled rose small and medium, Diamond Wire, Open Leaf Flourish, Pretty Poinsettia, Bird Cage, Cherry Blossom Flowers dies.

I cut the Birdcage 3 times and adhered them all together, then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I handcut the birt and butterflies from the patterned papers and I also heat embossed the bird before adhering it with a 3D pop dot.

Inside, there is a matching mini album. The album has 16 pages of various sizes for you to add your photos/journaling to.

On the front of the album I added more hand cut embellishments.

This Box/Album will be up for sale in my Etsy Shop this evening.
