Foldover Card | Stamping Bella Tutorial

Hi Eveyone! Today I am sharing how to make a Foldover Card featuring Tiny Townie Natalie and the Nutcracker from Stamping Bella

The card front can be adhered to a 5" x 7" panel or onto a 5" x 7" card base.

Supplies:
Winter/Christmas themed papers (papers used: Maja Designs Home for the Holidays)
Card
Scoring board and bone folder
Label, Snowflake, Tag, Pennant, Stitched Circle, Christmas Tree, and Border dies
Adhesives and foam tape/dots
Embellishments

How to:
Cut white card:
4.75" x 6.75"
4-5/8" x 5" (left side panel). Score at 4-3/8" and 4.5" on the 5" side
4-3/8" x 4.25" (right side panel). Score at 3.75" and 3-7/8" on the 4-3/8" side

Cut 2 of each papers:
1" x 4-5/8" (top and bottom of large panel)
4-1/8" x 3-5/8" (right side panel)
4.25" x 4.5" (left side panel)

Cut a piece of card measuring 5" x 4-5/8" and stamp the Nutcracker and sentiment in to the centre.

Adhere the 1" strips of paper and the sentiment panel down onto the 4.75" x 6.75" piece of card.

On both the left and right side panels, fold and burnish the score lines.

Adhere the paper panels on both sides of each.

Apply adhesive to the 0.5" section on the end and adhere to the 4.75" x 6.75" panel, lining up the edge of the large panel to the 0.5" score line and centering vertically. There should be approx 1/8" of the sentiment panel  showing on the top and bottom.

Repeat for the right side panel, centering it vertically on the right side panel.

Cut a label die approx 4.5" x 3.25" from white card and from paper. Trim down the paper one so that you have a 1/8" border of the white card label showing. Also cut a selection of dies for embellishments

Stamp Tiny Townie Natalie and the Nutcracker onto white card, colour using your preferred medium and fussy cut around the outline.

Adhere Natalie to the label panel using foam tape/dots and also use foam tape/dots to adhere the label panel to the right side card panel.

Adhere the card front onto a 5" x 7" card base. Embellish with die cuts and gems.

Gatefold Explosion Card | Stamping Bella Stamps Step-by-Step

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing how to make a Gatefold Explosion Card. We've been having unusual hotter than average weather here and I am so ready for cooler days, and nights!, so I chose an Autumnal image in the hopes that it would inspire mother nature.

The stamps I've used on today's card are Bundle Girl at the Pumpkin Patch and the Fall Sentiments set

Supplies:
Brown, Orange, and white card
Fall themed papers (Piatek Trzynastego, Four Seasons Autumn)
Scoring board and bone folder
Pencil, ruler and eraser
Scalloped circle and stitched circle dies
Adhesive

How to:
Stamp Bundle Girl at the Pumpkin Patch onto white card and colour using your preferred medium.

Cut out using a stitched circle die and, leaving the die in place, colour grass and the sky.

Cut a larger scalloped circle from brown card and adhere the image to it.
Set aside to work on the card base.

For the base of card cut:
Card: 4.25″ x 11″, score at 2.75″ from each end on the long side. Fold in the outside sections to make the gatefold. They should meet in the midde.
Paper: 4″ x 10.75″, score at 2-5/8″ from each end on the long side. Fold in the outside sections. There should be gap of approx 0.25" between the sides

With the sides folded in, mark at 2″ on both 4″ sides and at 2.75" on both 5.5" sides

Keeping the sides folded in, score from the 2″ mark diagonally to the 2.75" mark. Repeat for all four corners.

Fold the diagonal lines back and forth to loosen the paper. Do not use a bone folder as this will break the paper down too much.

Pinch in at the 2-5/8" score lines and fold the end inwards to make a triangle on the end. Repeat on the other side.

Centre the explosion mechanism on the inside middle section of the card base. Do not use adhesive.

Apply adhesive to one of the triangles and then fold the outer section of the gatefold in. Repeat on the other side.

When both sides are pulled open again the explosion mechanism opens.

For the front panel:
Orange card(layer 1):  4″ x 5 1/4
Brown card (layer 2, optional): 3.75" x 5"
Designer Paper (layer 3): 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″

Apply double sided tape to one side of the gatefold. Apply another strip of adhesive to the left side of the front panel. Adhere the panel to the front.

For the belly band:
Cut a 1.5" strip of strip of A4 card, on the long side. Centre it across the front of the card base and fold each end around to the back. They should overlap about 0.5".

Apply adhesive to the ends of the belly band and adhere to make the band. Cut two pieces of paper measuring 1-3/8" x 5.5" and adhere to the front and back of the band.

Retrieve the image and lay it centered on the band. Lift each end and a make a pencil mark. Apply adhesive inside the pencil marks and adhere the image panel to the band. Slip the band on the card to ensure a good fit.

For the greeting insert:
Cut a piece of card measuring 3.75″ x 5.25″. Stamp a sentiment from the Fall Sentiments rubber set  in the centre. Turn the card over and on the back, mark at 2-5/8″ at the top and bottom and 1-7/8″ on each side. Draw connecting lines. Cut just inside the lines to create a diamond shape. Adhere into the centre of the explosion mechanism.
