La-la Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - All a Flutter

This is my second post today. If you are looking for the CMC Summer Sale Hop then please CLICK HERE.

Each Monday and Friday the design teams from La-La Land Crafts bring you a new and inspirational theme. This week our theme is -

ALL A FLUTTER

I just love making tags so I decided to make one for my Princess. She gets so excited when I make things for her and has a box FULL of  it. Fancy Marci is among her favourites from La-la Land Crafts girly stamps.

I stamped on kraft card using momento black ink and left my image uncoloured. I have seen this technique aroundn blogland but this is the first time I've tried it - I like it.

The butterfly is from La-La Land Crafts newest product range - Butterflies Set1 which contains two wonderfully detailed butterflies. I also used their Eiffel Tower die behind Marci.

Papers - Prima Almanac
Ticket and Sentiment cut out from Almanac papers.
Lace & Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls & Pearl Swirl - The Hobby House

Check out what the rest of Team Friday have created. You can find all of their delicious works HERE on the LLLC Blog. Don't forget to add your creations to the Customer Gallery and you might be our lucky winner of our monthly prize.

Challenges -
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Any sentiment

DT Make it Crafty - Flirty Seniors

Hi everyone! I want to share a card I created for the May edition of Paper and Pixels Magazine using one of my favourite images from Make it Crafty - Flirty Seniors

I think this would really make a wonderful Anniversary card. I have combined it with Petals and Pailings . I used copic markers to colour it - way too many to list!

I kept the embellishments simple so that the image was the main focus of the card. I simply added few Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers, some lace and some pearls. I created the border using Martha Stewart's double dot punch.

Thanks for dropping by today. Be sure to pop over to the Make it Crafty Store blog to see what fabulous inspiration the rest of the DT have added.

Challenges -
One Stop Craft - Spring Wedding or Anniversary
Inspire Me Fridays – Always Anything Goes
Crafty Ribbons - Flowers

For those of you who missed it, Annie drew Nurse Nightingale LIVE and we all watched her do it, it was just AMAZING!! to see an artist at work.

Ok, so my cards is VERY loosely based on the sketch but if you look long and hard enough you will see the similarities :/ I masked Nurse Nightingale and stamped Under the Weather to create the 'scene'. I love the look on his face - PRICELESS!! lol.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May Release Previews - Day One

We are kicking off the *New* Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps May Release today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a whole new line of stamps!!! We are very excited to share with you our….TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the Everyday Trinkets set which covers Birthday, Thank You, Friendship and Just Because!!! There are EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!!

A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations but they are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items!! I can’t wait to see them used everywhere!!!

You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber. And keep your eyes peeled for more themes because we’ve got lots more Trinkets on the way!!!

I created a Flapper Gift Box and matching card using 2 of the larger sentiments in the set.

I purchased the template for the Flapper from My Time Made Easy. It's really easy to make and would be perfect for any occasion.

Untie the ribbon to lift the flap. You can add goodies inside (chili heatwave doritos was all I had, lol)

The matching card is 4" x 4" and I've used the same paper collection - Pink Paislee's London Market. The border was done using a Martha Stewart punch.

The sweet flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Krafty Girls have come up with - you can find the full list HERE. Don't forget to comment as you go because one very lucky random commenter will with the whole set of Everyday Trinkets!!

Have a great day

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Previews Day Two

Welcome to day two of the Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release previews. This month, three new sets will be released. The sets will be available for sale in the WMS webstore on Tuesday, May 8th. Until then, the design team will be previewing one set per day.

Today's set is Compact Family.

I love that this set is chock full of male sentiments along with female sentiments - makes creating male cards MUCH easier :D

I used Very Vintage Labels No.25, stamped with Evergreen Bough distress ink, and cut out using the coordinating Labels 25 Nestabilities

My papers are from Crate Paper Inc. and they are the Brook Collection. To embellish I've simply added some tickets, flossed buttons and large flatbacked pearls.

I also made this smaller card using another of the sentiments along with Very Vintage Labels 5 and Labels 5 Nestabilities dies.

The papers are Melissa Frances's and I've used Kraft cardstock as my base. I added some lace, satin ribbon and a single cherry blossom for embellishment.
