Hi all! Today I'm sharing how I made this Booklet Explosion Card featuring Bundle Girl Bee Keeper. The idea behind this card was to make a coupon booklet but the pop-up inside was much more fun.
The paper I used on this card are My Happy Place from Doodlebug.
Supplies:
Black card, white card
Designer paper
Scoring board, bone folder
Adhesives
Embellishments
How to:
Stamp Bundle Girl Bee Keeper onto a pieced of 4" x 4" blending card.
For the card base cut a piece of black card measuring 4.25" x 11.5". Score on the long side at 4.25" and 5.75"
Cut white card layers for the front:
(1x) 4" x 4"
(1x) 4" x 1.25"
Cut paper layers
(1x) 3-7/8" x 3-7/8"
(1x) 3-7/8" x 1-1/8"
For the inside cut a piece of white card measuring 4" x 4" and a piece of paper measuring 3-7/8" x 3-7/8". Adhere them together and then adhere to the inside of the card leaving a 1/8" border on the top, bottom and right side of the card.
Apply glue to the 1.5" section between the score lines, close up the card and adhere to the inside back. This will leave a 1/8" border on the left side of the paper panel.
Cut a piece of double sided paper measuring 5.75" x 5.75". Fold in half and crease with a bone folder. Open it up and fold in half the other way, creating four squares.
Push the diagonal folds inwards and close the piece into a square. Crease well with a bone folder.
Open up the card and position the square so that the top is just at the 4.25" score line. Apply adhesive to the explosion mechanism and fold the card front down on top of it.
Fold the mechanism up again and apply adhesive to the other side, and fold the back of the card down on top of it.
Cut a piece of white card measuring 2" x 2" and a piece of paper measuring 1.75". Cut both diagonally, adhere the paper to the card and then adhere each side of the explosion mechanism.
Cut the image out using a 3.75" square die and mat onto a 3-7/8" piece of black card. Adhere them to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white card measuring approx 2-3/8" square and turned diagonally. Cut another card square the same size, for the handwritten greeting, for the opposite side.
Embellish with enamel dots.
