Waltzingmouse Stamps April SOAP - Day 3

Good morning and welcome to Day 3 of Waltzingmouse Stamps Seal of Approval Parade. For the past 3 days the WMS design team have been looking back on the stamp sets that were released in March - Way Out West, Very Vintage Labels #18, Bitty Banners, Vintage Banners and Back in the Saddle

Today is the last day we will be showcasing these stamps, tomorrow we look back at a set from a previous release... and who knows.... there may even be a little challenge, but you'll have to check back tomorrow for more details.

I created the woodgrain background using one of the stamps from the Way out West set. In hindsight {such a wonderful thing, lol} I probably should have used a much lighter ink to make the banners pop out more... however I do love the effect this stamp creates.  I hand cut around the Labels 18 stamp, as I am awaiting my dies. The banners can be easily cut out using a paper trimmer. Both the sentiment and horse/rider are from Back in the Saddle.

Happy hopping!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps April SOAP Day 2

Good morning!! Well I hope you all enjoyed Day 1 of Waltzingmouse Stamps SOAP {Stamp of Approval Parade}. Today we share more samples from the March release sets  - Way Out West, Very Vintage Labels 18, Bitty Banners, Vintage Banners and Back in the Saddle

Remember, this is a 4 day event and we have a special treat for you on the 4th day that you don't wanna miss ;)

My card today features both Way Out West and Back in the Saddle.

I am just LOVING the Way out West background stamps. I used Pine Needles distress ink to stamp onto my design paper before distressing and inking the edges. All of my papers have been machine stitched.

The sentiment is from Back in the Saddle.  Again I used Pine Needles then I inked distressed and stitched. I love how the black cardstock makes my papers pop.

I also inked my large rose to co-ordinate with my card. All of  my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The jute, black ribbon and black pearls are from my stash.

Again -  here is the list of the other DT girls who are playing along -
Do not miss what these wonderfully talented ladies have created for your pleasure!!

Back later....

Waltzingmouse Stamps - New Release Blog Waltz

Howdy!! Well the day is finally here.. today Waltzingmouse Stamps is releasing 5 new stamp sets that are sure to be a huge hit. For the past 3 days the DT have been showcasing the sets - have you picked a favourite yet?? If you've arrived here from Carly's blog then you're on the right path, if not then you need to head back to Claire's blog where the waltz begins.

Today I have used Way out West and Back in the Saddle. I was in the UK for the previews of these sets and was just itching to ink them up.

The first card is CLEAN AND SIMPLE!! Yes, I have delved into the world of no patterned papers or flowers and I kinda like it, lol.

Stamps - Way out West & Back in the Saddle
Inks - Momento Tuxedo Black, Close to My Heart Topiary & Brushed cordory distress
Card - The Paper Mill Cream Linen

Then I broke out the patterned papers and the sewing machine, lol. I can't get enough of the 'Pale Rider' stamp ;) Not sure what to call him but he reminds me of the Pale Rider movie and Clint Eastwood.

Stamps - Back in the Saddle
Papers - Basic Grey
Natural Jute, twine

Next on the hop is Bonnie

and here is the full list in case you lose your way
