Just Magnolia meets Crafty Angels

Good morning crafters! Today I have a little gift set to show you. I made the card for the Just Magnolia challenge, which was a fabby sketch by Mina and the altered gift box is my DT project for Crafty Angels.

Again, I used a mix of copic markers and distress inks to colour my Tilda. Isn't she just so, so cute??!! I love the new Christmas range of Magnolias and I can't wait to get my kit.. seriously, I CAN NOT WAIT ANY LONGER!! lol.

I used the same materials and image for the box. This box is the smallest of a nest of 3 that I bought recently. I was very pleasantly surprised at how big they were.

The papers are also from Magnolia's christmas collection. The BIG flowers and tulle are from Tabby Crafts and the skittles are from Pez-A-Doodle Designs. I added Star Dust stickles to my flowers and around the image on the card. I love the effect on the flowers.

Here is the set together....I'm not entirely sure I can part with these ones, haha!!

PDD Friday - Stampin' for the Weekend - Creative Inspirations

Good morning. It's a beautiful sunny morning here but boy is it nippy!! Winter is well and truly here. I have my little one home from school with a fever and she's been 'helping' me craft so as you can imagine it's not going well, lol !!

Well today is PDD Friday and all of the linked products below are available over on Pez-A-Doodle Designs. For great prices on all your Tim Holtz needs, not to mention those wonderful Studio G sets,  make sure to pay Marti a visit.

This weeks challenge on Stampin' for the Weekend is BIG Celebrations! - so those big land mark birthdays - 1st, 18th, 21st, 30th etc or those big Wedding Anniversaries - Ruby, Gold, Silver.

This challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the lovely Heidi is offering a $25 coupon for the Simon Says Store

We have 2 very talented guest designers again this week, Benedicte and Trish. Please do stop by their blogs to say hello :)

Now, on to my card ...

I finally got around to using one my Motivet stamps that I chose when I was their weekly winner. This one is called Doraline with Birthday Cake, and what a sweetie she is. I coloured her using copic markers and then added some Star Dust Stickles to the birthday cake, balloon and my roses. I edged all of my papers with distress inks and also used the stickles to frame the image. I just love how the colour from the distress ink mixes with the stickles!!

I am entering this one into the Allsorts Challenge, who ask for BLING. I think I have enough stickles on this card to constitute as bling, LOL!! I love my stickles!!

I am also entering this into the Creative Inspirations challenge, with their theme 'New or Neglected'. I know we are ALL guilty of neglecting our supplies and I for one am very guilty of it. My 'neglected' item is the wonderful sprarkly Thickers I bought about 2yrs ago and they have been sitting in a drawer of my cabinet ever since.

And finally, I am entering my card for Cute Card Thursday, with their challenge 'Glitter me Silly'.

A close up of the sparkly roses

The gorgeous pins and tulle are from my Tabby Craft spree :)

TFL and have a great Friday the 13th (*eeek*)
Happy crafting xXx

PDD Tuesday - Just Magnolia - Magnolia Down Under - The Sugar Bowl

Hello all! Today was another busy one.. but this time it was busy for the right reason, lol. I finally got a little crafting time!! Which is a good thing because today is my PDD Tuesday!

I have 2 cards to share with you today. The first one is for The Sugar Bowl and it is from a sketch by Judy.

It's been a while since I got to play with these Gorjuss stamps so I was really looking forward to inking one up. I think this particular one has to be my favourite. I coloured her using copic markers and added a little highlight to her cheeks with the Inkssentials White Gel Pen. Then I cut her out and mounted her on the circle I'd cut using my circle nestabilities. I inked the edges of all my papers with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I finally broke down and used one of the deeeeelish big white roses I recently bought from Tab's store. This was a huge breakthough for me as I like to hoard, lol!!! I also got the gorgeous trim and pearl top pins from Tabby Crafts. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's Fall kit.

**********

The second card I want to share is one I made for Just Magnolia's monthly challenge, which is to use Distressing on your project. I followed the sketch on Magnolia Down Under so I am entering it into their challenge too.

I coloured my Tilda using both copic markers and distress inks. I added Star Dust stickles to her wings and liquid applique to her hat. I've never used liquid applique before and was quite amused by how it exploded out when I put the heat gun on it, lol... yes, yes.. I'm easily amused!!

I inked the edge of my papers with distress ink and then distressed them using a Heidi Swapp distresser.  I also inked the edges of the white flowers with Pine Needles, to match the colour on my image.

Both cards were made using K & Company papers. For the first card I used McKenna and for the second card I used Bailey. The adhesive pearls on both cards are from my stash, the charm & spacers are from The Hobby House.

All linked supplies above are available @ Pez-A-Doodle Designs. Please do pop over to the other DT members blogs to see what wonderful creations they've been making.

I just adore this stamp. It's one of my favourite Whiff of Joy christmas stamps. My papers are from the MME Christmas stack, and I paired it with a deep red cardstock. I coloured my image with copic markers. The poinsettias and star charm are from The Hobby House.

I finished off the card by decorating the inside to match.

PDD Friday & Stampin' for the Weekend

Wow, Friday again!! I am losing all track of days lately :S

Over on Stampin for the Weekend we have something a little different this week. We would like to see some Festive Goodie Boxes!! That's right, now is the time to break out all those templates you've been saving but have never gotten around to trying :)

Our team member Vicki is sponsoring this challenge and she'd also like to see some distressing on your project, however this is not a must.

This is the magnificent prize that Vicki is giving to the lucky winner.

We have 2 very talented guest designers again this week, Benedicte and Gri-Heidi. Please do stop by their blogs to say hi.

I made my treat box using the box from my Staz-On that I recieved only last week from Marti. It's just perfect for altering. I used MME Holiday Glitter stack and I distressed the edges using TH edge distresser. I stamped my sentiment using Momento Tuxedo Black and shaded it with Antique Linen distress ink.

The snowflake was made using Snowflake Wonder Nestabilities and Frosted Lace stickles. I added an antique brad by PM to finish it off.

The little blue buttons are from my stash.  Ribbon is American Crafts and the Christmas tree charm is from The Hobby House.

TFL and have a wonderful Friday!!

PDD Tuesday & Stamp Something Challenge

Today's card is my DT project for Pez-A-Doodle Designs, and also an entry for Stamp Something who asked for Cute and Fuzzy Somethings.

I got this cute little bear free, on the front of a magazine. I used Momento Rich Cocoa to stamp it and then used copic markers to colour in the Santa hat. I added Star dust stickles to the white dots and Polar White Flowersoft to the trim and ball.

I used the easel card template again, I just love it!!

Yummy flowers from Tabby Crafts! I made the leaves using the Pine leaf punch by McGill. I also used the MS Two-Dot punch for the double border.

Pins and tulle, I just can't get enough of these :)

The GORGEOUS peppermint skittles are from the new Holiday Skittles range, exclusive to Pez-A-Doodle Designs

I've also made a box for the card to go into but forgot to take pics, lol!!
Have a great Tuesday.. and Happy Crafting!!

Crafty Angels - Just Magnolia - Friday Sketchers - ABC

Happy Monday!! Well the kids are back in school after the mid-term, Halloween parties are over with and today I'm hoping for some sort of normality to return. Again, I have a long post today.. but I hope you will enjoy it :)

I have a couple of cards to share with you. The first is my DT challenge for Crafty Angels, which was a sketch by Kate. All the supplies used were from my DT kit. The papers are PIGGY Tales and the cardstock is Core'dinations. I just love the big Burst out Brads by Karen Foster. The ones I've used are Mirrors & Jewels. The tiny lavendar pearls are from Kaisercraft.

My Kitchen Tilda is from Magnolia's Yummy for your Tummy collection. I coloured her using copic markers. I distressed the edges of my cardtock with antique linen distress ink and I edged them with vintage photo.

Tools used: MS Zig-Zag border punch - curved rectangle, circle and scalloped circle  nestabilities - Cuttlebug - Script embossing folder.

My second card is for Just Magnolia who asked for Monochrome, Friday Sketchers with sketch #76 and ABC Challenges with G is for Green (and my card is certainly green, lol)

I'm (im)patiently awaiting the Magnolia Winter kit so I've used Tilda with Tinsel from last year. I've coloured her using copic markers. I've edged all of my papers using vintage photo distress ink.

I added a little touch of stickles to the tinsel for some sparkle :)

Tools used: cuttlebug, snowflake embossing folder.

A little randomness...

On Saturday we went to my cousin's house for a Halloween Party. We all agreed to bring something homebaked and 'halloween-y'. This was my contribution..

These are just little vanilla cupcakes and I used  milk & white chocolate to make a spiderweb design on the top. I think I did OK with the challenge, and they certainly disappeared quickly!
