Just Magnolia & Lovely hAnglar Only Challenges

It's been a while since I've had time to ink up one of my hAnglars and now that Just Magnolia also allow hAnglars in their challenges it makes it so much easier to get around to using them. It also helps that my internet connection is awful lately so I don't spend too much time on Facebook, lol.The challenge on Just Magnolia is Anything Goes with the option of real or faux stitching.

 

I have a total mental block when it comes to these particular Basic Grey papers, I can NEVER remember the name of them.. Stella Ruby maybe? Whatever they are called I'm down to the last of them and I'm not best pleased about that :( 

I used the Recipe over on the Lovely hAnglar Only challenge blog, which is -

DT Whiff of Joy & La-La Land Crafts

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a good day :) I have a couple of cards I'd like to share today, and first up is DT card for Whiff of Joy. This is one of new stamps which was released on May 1st and is named Friends Forever - Nora & Ben.

The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy, and is also part of the new release. You are My Hero - a set of 9 sentiment stamps. These would work so well with Whiff of Joy's digi stamps. To embellish I used some tulle, silver rimmed pearl brads and flat backed pearls.

Next is a card featuing my first La-La Land image, Sweetheart Marci. I really enjoyed colouring this and couldn't resist printing out some more to play with later :D

Little Darlings Sneak Peek - Shellphone

Good morning!! 

For those of you who don't know yet there will be a brand new and exciting store opening on May 16th. Each day until then there is a whole host of wonderfully talentened crafters showcasing of some of the fabulous stamps that will be available. 

I am delighted to be one of the lucky ladies showcasing for Love to Stamp. This little cutie is called Shellphone and I had such fun working with it.

GDT - Tickled Pink Challenges - A Sketch by Kellie

Hi everyone!! This is my 2nd post today so if you're looking for my PaperPlay post you need to scroll down :)

I have the great honour of being the May guest Designer for Tickled Pink Challenges and for my first week it's one of my favourite challenges - A sketch! The prize up for grabs is 2 DIGITAL or 1 RUBBER Stamp of the winner's choice.

When Kellie said I got to choose an 'older' image for this challenge I had to have Lil Lolita Kellita. I used a mix of Basic Grey papers and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are from my stash. I added some punched butterflies and loadza glittery stickles for some added sparkle.

PaperPlay Challenges - Show Your Style

Good morning and happy Thursday. Today is my busy day - food shopping, cleaning, etc, etc, etc.. the usual boring housewifey stuff, lol. 

This week's PaperPlay challenge -  we want to see YOUR style of crafting, whatever YOU are most comfortable doing, whatevery YOU enjoy most. This week it's all about YOU YOU YOU ;)

Hmmm, my style {yes, it's about ME now :D } .. I had to think about this one. I love cute images, I love to colour, I love tags, I love flowers, I love pearls, I love Tim Holtz products, I love Manga, I love lace, I love ribbon and I love love love colour combo challenges!!  So I decided on a tag and for my tag I used an image that I had coloured for the Make it Colourful challenge - Black with a splash of Red - and this is what I came up with.

I used black card as my base tag. My papers are My Mind's Eye - Meadowlark. The background paper has been embossed with the Tim Holtz BINGO folder. All of my papers have been inked with Antique Linen distress inks.

I found this image on the internet.. it was free to take and I couldn't find any copyright on it - I also have no clue who the illustrator is, unfortunately. The copics I used are C8, C5, C3, C1 and R29, R27, R24, R22

The flowers, seam binding and lace are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and I am entering this tag into their challenge - White +2 with a Twist. The twist is to use roses, which I have.

Waltzingmouse May Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to Waltzingmouse Stamps May release blog hop. Today the DT are also showcasing the final set to be released  - Say it Loud. BIG BOLD sentiments!! 

You should have arrived here from Carly's blog, but if not, you need to head back to Claire's blog where the hop begins.

I absolutely love this set, so I've made a few samples :D 

For my first card I've used the Labels 5 Nestabilities and Very Vintage Labels 5 Stamps along with Say It Loud. I cut out the sentiment and then using the same sized die I held it down on my contrasting paper and ripped around it for the distressed look.

My papers are BG Eva. The distressed seam binding and button are from Etsy. I added just a little bit of lace and a few of pearls to finish off.

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp 2nd Anniversary challenge.

I also made a Tea Bag Holder, which is a FREE template in the WMS store. If you've been following along with the releases over the past couple of days you'll know that after the release there will be a fabby competion with an even more fabby prize... but just in case you've missed it, you can find all the deets HERE on this post.

I stamped my card using distress inks {tumbled glass & scattered straw} and the Dainty Doilies - Small. Then I distressed all the edges with antique linen.

I've used Holiday Labels 14 stamps and Nestabilities, the HUGS is from Say It Loud. I also used Bitty Banners and a sentiement from the Dainty Doilies - Large set which is one of the new releases today. The sweet teapot charm was just perfect for this project.

 For my final sample I made a shaped card using Curved Rectangles Nestabilities & Spellbinders Impressibilities - Flowers. You will have to enlarge the photo to see the impressions but I promise they are there, lol. 

I just added some pearls, flowers and a punched butterfly to embellish and keep the card somewhat CAS - I did say 'somewhat' ;)
