Crafty Angels - 123, Recipe.

Hi! I hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday Monday. It's a gorgeous day here.. a little chilly but sunny enough to make you want to be out in it. I am feeling so much better today, thanks to everyone for the sympathy. My throat is not so sore and the congestion is not as bad.. don't you just HATE summer colds??!!!

It was my turn to set the challenge on Crafty Angels this week and I chose a recipe. I would like you to use 1 Ribbon, 2 papers and 3 Ribbons on your creation. You can add cardstock, pins, sentiment, etc.. but you must use 1, 2, 3 recipe too.

I made  a gift set and used the recipe on my card. The image is a Spesh stamp I won from Kimmi recently when she had offered it as blog candy. Thanks Kimmi :D

My papers are Magnolia 'turquoise quilt' and 'turquoise rose'.  I just LOVE Magnolia papers. The quality and texture is amazing and they are perfect for distressing.

I found the tutorial for the Sour Cream container HERE. Soooo simple to make and it's a great little gift idea. There are some chocolates inside. The butterfly on the front is from PM and I've had it for the longest time. Isn't amazing how much stash we accumulate and then forget about. Finding it is like getting new stash all over again, lol.

The sentiment on the card is a from a sheet of die cut Birthday sentiments. They come in both blank and white card on one sheet and are a great way to add a sentiment quickly. I just inked the edges, added some 3D pop dots and stuck it to the card.

Don't forget that each week there is a Top 3 picked and at the end of each month all the Top 3's are entered into the draw for a prize.

This month's prize is this super sweet set of stamps "Honey & Hugs" from Papermania

Waltzing Mouse Birthday Release

Good morning. I am just skirting in on the very last hour of the sketch challenge on Waltzing Mouse Stamps.

WMS is one year old today and Claire is offering one each of the EIGHT new release sets today... eeeeek!!! Exciting or what??!!! So I packed my hubby off with the kids, had a couple of freakouts over it being the last hour before the challenge closes and got to work.

Here is the sketch..

and this is what I did with it. A very simple card and I cannot believe how quickly I got this done!! Less than 30 mins and I even inked my flowers.. a record for me :D

Now I'm flying over to link it up before the deadline passes.....!!! eeeek!!!

Have a wonderful Saturday

Stamp Something - Sketch Somethings

Good morning and happy Friday. It's a very wet day here, all the sunshine has disappeared. I do hope it's a better day where ever you are :)

Our challenge on Stamp Something this week is Sketch Somethings. What a fabulous sketch Denise has created for us to work with.

We are being sponsored by our regular monthly sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, and one very lucky winner will receive a store coupon to spend on whatever they wish :D

I am also entering in to Simon Says Stamp challenge which is "Buttons, Bows and Bling" and into A Spoonfull of Sugar's challenge which is "3D Something". I have mounted my image and the daisies onto 3D foam dots :)

For my card I used about the sweetest SN stamp called Daisy. Isn't she soooooo pretty. This is the image I used at my class last week and everybody loved her. She is just perfect for colouring.

I've coloured her using distress inks and added some stickles to the flowers in her hair. The daisies have been punched out, inked with Weathered Wood and I've added tiny yellow buttons to the centres. The sentiment is a Studio G.

(apologies for the bad pic, the light here has been awful for the past few days)

Papers: BG Sugar Rush
Tools: Daisy punch, distress inks, stickles.
Heart Pin from Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon, buttons and pink gems are from my stash.

Please do take a little time to visit my teamies' blogs. Links are over there -->

Have fun and Happy Crafting!

ABC Challenges - T is for Thank You

Good morning. Today I would like to share with you my DT card for ABC Challenges. Our theme this week is "T is for Thank You".

We are being sponsored by Whimsey Stamps , who are offering a $15 gift certificate to our lucky winner.

I used one of Whimsey's images, called "Hang in There" and added a computer generated sentiment to tie in with the theme.

I coloured my image with Copic markers and added a little touch of stickles to the flowers. I won the Prima fabric flowers (and some Prima BLING!!) from Creative Scrappers Word Scramble game earlier this month.

My papers are all BG Archaic. I used an x-cut scallop punch for the borders. I didn't know that X-cut had really nice border punches and they are sooooooo inexpensive... less than €5 each!!! Check them out!! All of my papers have been inked with Brushed Cordoroy.

Thanks for popping in, please do make sure to say hi...  and don't forget to hop over to my teamies' blogs to see their wonderful Thank You creations.

Now I have the unenviable task of sorting out my kids toy boxes before they get home from school and see what I'm getting rid of!! I've been putting if off for ages but it's reached crisis point now, lol. I really don't know what I'm going to do with the toys, I used to send them to an orphanage in Dublin but they stopped taking them, as did our local hospital. It's a shame because they toys are in perfect condition, my kids have just outgrown them. I guess I'll just have to land on my SIL's doorstep with toys for her kids, won't she be thrilled, haha!!

Have a great Wednesday!
