Stamp Something - Recipe

This week our challenge on Stamp Something is a recipe - Papers, Ribbons and Buttons. Use all 3 on your project to be in with a chance of winning a $25 store coupon from Simon Says Stamp.

I made a criss cross card using pink bazzil and BG Indian Summer and distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo.

The lace is an ebay find.. LOVE it!!

Inside I used stamps from Magnolia, Pink Paislee & Studio G. They have been stamped using distress inks.

The flower is by Prima. I have inked it and threaded the button with scrappers floss.

I am also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is Vintage with Fowers. The DT are showcasing Prima flowers on their projects this week.

This also fits the theme at ABC Challenges - 'O is for One Paper'

Thanks for visiting me today and please do hop over to the Stamp Something challenge blog to see the rest of the DT samples.

Have a wonderful weekend :)

Cute Card Thursday / PaperPlay Challenges

This is my final week as guest DT member on Cute Card Thursday. It's been a lot of fun and a pleasure working with the rest of the team.

This week's theme is RIBBON-TASTIC and we would like to see you use loads of ribbon on your creation.

We are being sponosred by The Stamping Boutique and one lucky winner will receive their choice of either FIVE Digi Stamps or THREE Red Rubber Stamps.

I am also entering my card into Magnolia Down Under's Challenge - they are asking for Easel Cards this week, and into Just Magnolia's Challenge as I followed the yummy sketch by JayJay.

On PaperPlay this week the theme is FOR A MOTHER.
We would like to see you make a card/layout/gift for Mother's Day. It can be for your own mother, an aunt, grandma, sister or daughter.. any woman who is a mother.

We have a wonderful prize sponosored by Mandy, which is a totally scrumptious paper pad and embellishment pack from Papermania's Capsule Collection.

I went for a very basic card that literally took 30mins to make. I had a kids card class on Sunday and I wanted to be able to show them how they could make a really nice card very simply.

Again, I  used the butterfly punch. The butterfly was inked with Vintage Photo distress ink and pearls added to the body.

Simon Says Stamp to Papertake Weekly :)

For card today I used the sketch on Papertake Weekly and Simon Says Stamp has a special challenge that I am just about making it on time for.

"This week the Design Team are all showcasing the Stampabilities range of stamps -
House Mouse, Happy Hoppers and Gruffies :-)We do realize that not all of you have any of these stamps so we have a Recipe for you all to follow :-)

3 TYPES OF EMBELLISHMENTS
2 PATTERNED PAPERS you can also use coordinating cardstock :-)
1 IMAGE
If you do have any Stampabilities stamps we would love to see them on your creations this week :-)

At each blog, there will be a MYSTERY LETTER – collect all of the letters, unscramble them, and post your answer in the comment section on the Simon Says Stamp Blog, which is at the end of the hop :-)"

I do have a couple of House Mouse stamps that I love and needed to make a baby card so I used this cutie..

I coloured my image with distress inks and Twinkling H2Os. The calendar stamp can be marked with the date of birth ... love that idea!! The heart stamp is Pink Paislee and the sentiment is Papermania.

My 3 embellishments are pearl hearts, tulle & a silver charm.

Now I am off to collect my letters from each of the DT blogs.. this might take a while, lol.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday.. we have snow falling at the moment!!

Crafty Angels meets Friday Sketchers

Good morning!! Mid term break is over here so back to normalitly today :) I have total silence at the minute and it's HEAVEN!!

Today's card is my Crafty Angels DT project and also an entry into Friday Sketchers as I followed their sketch. I flipped it upside down.

The theme on Crafty Angels is Au Revoir/ Bon Voyage, as today is the final day for the current DT.  Laura has asked me to stay on for the next DT stint so it's Caz and Kate that we are saying goodbye to. Fabulously talented ladies and I enjoyed working with them.

So, here is my card....

I'm not entirely sure which Magnolia collection this Tilda is from but I do love her. You can just picture her sitting at the train station on her suitcases... well she's sitting on 3D pop dots at the moment, haha!!

I decided to use watercolour pencils on this one and quickly realised I was sooooooo out of practice with them.

The papers  I used are October Afternoon Very Merry.. yes, Christmas papers!!! The 3D stickers are Papermania 'Travel'... I absolutely adore the postage stamp. To finish off I added some pearl spray, a cherry blossom and some self adhesive pearls (surprise surprise, lol)

Thanks for visiting me today and please do check out my teamies blogs to see their Crafty Angels projects one last time :)

Cute Card Thursday & PaperPlay Challenges

Good morning!! Can you believe it's Thursday already. I have my littlest guy home from school today as it's mid-term here. I'm off to IKEA in a bit and then on to a crop in Dublin, where I will get to meet Mina!! Can't wait, I know it's gonna be a great day out.

Today on Cute Card Thursday our theme is METAL MANIA, so out came everything Tim Holtz idea-ology that I possess and I went a little bit metal manic, lol.

I used Magnolia's Edwin for this card and coloured him using distress inks. I stickled his wings, cut him out and 'sat' him on the card. The papers are BG Origins and are perfect for male cards. I just love all of the greens and browns.

To mount Edwin on the card I used 3D pop-dots

I am also entering this card into Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge as I followed their sketch.

PaperPlay Challenges

Over on Paper Play Challenges we have a fantabulous sketch for y'all to follow. The sketch was created by moi :D

Here is my take on it...

I used MME Bloom & Grow papers and the cutest Greeting Farm stamp called Lottie, from the Twinkle Tots collection. She is coloured using distress inks and I've added stickles to her hairbows and clothes.  I applied glossy accents to make the apples 3D.

I've also stickled all of my flowers and added a daisy head pin from Whiff of Joy.

The tulle, pearls and flowers are from my stash.

I am entering this card into a couple of other challenges....
Anyone For Anya? with Flower Power
Fussy & Fancy Friday with Dazzle Me

Well that's it from me for today. Please do pop over to my teamies' blogs to leave them some love. I will be back tomorrow with 2 more DT cards :)

Have a great Thursday and HAPPY CRAFTING!

Whiff of Joy and more....

This week on Whiff of Joy there is a great sketch by Jane to follow, on Secret Crafter Saturday they are asking for Multifold projects and on ABC challenges the theme is 'New'.

To enter Secret Crafter Saturday's challenge I made a Wiper card using the instructions HERE. The butterfly punch is my 'new' for ABC Challenges.

The papers are My Mind's Eye -29th St. Market {Cherish} papers. The image is Shy Willow from WOJ's Summer '09 kit and I coloured her using distress inks.

The flowers are by Prima and I've had them for so long.... they've been sorely neglected for a while though, lol. I added crystal ice glittered skittles to the centres of the flowers and added star dust stickles to the petals.

The butterfly was distressed with Vintage Photo and I added some pearls up along the body.

Image: Shy Willow - WOJ
Sentiment: WOJ summer '09 kit
Papers: MME - 29th Street Market {Cherish}, Bazzil

The flowers have been sparkled up using Star Dust stickles.

The sentiment is from the Valentine collection by Studio G. I have also stickled the hearts and around the sentiment.

Crafty Angels - What's your Colour?

Before I get to my card I would just like to say that I am thrilled to have gotten Top 5 on Magnolia Down Under Challenges again. Thanks so much to the girls for picking my card.. it's a real confidence boost :)

This week on Crafty Angels the theme (as set by me) is What's your Colour. We would like to see you create something using either the colours you feel most represent your personalitly or your favourite colour. One of my favourite colours is GREEN.

I got this super cute Bildmalarna stamp from Laura for my birthday so I just had to use it on my DT card :D

I came across a new challenge blog called Paper Jewels, home of these wonderful Bildmalarna stamps, and I am entering this card into their first challenge.

I coloured my image using distress inks and added a little Twinkling H2O for some sparkle. My border was punched out using MS Heartlace punch and then inked with Vintage Photo. The cherry blossoms were plain white but I inked the edges with Broken China to match them to my card. I finished off by adding some stickles around my image, I just love how it takes up the colour of the ink under it.

Paper: Magenta - Robins Nest
Image: Bildmalarna - Mimosa's Birdhouse
Tools - Marth Stewart Heartlace punch, sponge dauber
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts - Cherry Blossoms & closed roses
Distress inks, stickles, lace

Don't forget to pop over to the other DT ladies' blogs to see their colour!! Links on the side -->

Have a great Tuesday and happy crafting :)

Crafty Angels meets Just Magnolia

Good morning. It's a frosty one here again... brrr!!

Today I'd like to share a card I made for my Crafty Angels DT project and for Just Magnolia with their theme "Hearts & Flowers". It also fits this week's Secret Crafter challenge which is "Hearts" and the Stampavie & More challenge which is a colour combo of Pink/Brown.

Plenty of distress ink was used on this card. I distressed my papers and edged them with Vintage Photo, scrunched up the tag and distressed it with Antique Linen and Tilda has been stamped and distressed with both of the above inks. Even the adage ticket has been inked.

On the tiny tag I used one of Tim Holtz 'Life's Possiblities' stamps. I adhered that to a grungeboard heart that had been painted with Tea Dye crackle paint and edged with Vintatge Photo ink. The little button was threaded with the string from the tag.

 Papers: MME & Creative Imaginations
Images: Magnolia's Tilda from the Winter Kit & Tim Holtz Visual Artistry
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Grungeboard heart, pearls, buttons, mini tags, adage ticket & ribbon from my stash

I have my little man home today as they have no school so we are off to do some more practicing riding his bike with no stabilisers.. :S

Have a great monday and happy crafting!!
