Stamp Something - Sketch Somethings

Good morning and happy Friday. It's a very wet day here, all the sunshine has disappeared. I do hope it's a better day where ever you are :)

Our challenge on Stamp Something this week is Sketch Somethings. What a fabulous sketch Denise has created for us to work with.

We are being sponsored by our regular monthly sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, and one very lucky winner will receive a store coupon to spend on whatever they wish :D

I am also entering in to Simon Says Stamp challenge which is "Buttons, Bows and Bling" and into A Spoonfull of Sugar's challenge which is "3D Something". I have mounted my image and the daisies onto 3D foam dots :)

For my card I used about the sweetest SN stamp called Daisy. Isn't she soooooo pretty. This is the image I used at my class last week and everybody loved her. She is just perfect for colouring.

I've coloured her using distress inks and added some stickles to the flowers in her hair. The daisies have been punched out, inked with Weathered Wood and I've added tiny yellow buttons to the centres. The sentiment is a Studio G.

(apologies for the bad pic, the light here has been awful for the past few days)

Image: Daisy from Funky Kits
Papers: BG Sugar Rush
Tools: Daisy punch, distress inks, stickles.
Heart Pin from Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon, buttons and pink gems are from my stash.

Please do take a little time to visit my teamies' blogs. Links are over there -->

Have fun and Happy Crafting!

ABC Challenges - T is for Thank You

Good morning. Today I would like to share with you my DT card for ABC Challenges. Our theme this week is "T is for Thank You".

We are being sponsored by Whimsey Stamps , who are offering a $15 gift certificate to our lucky winner.

I used one of Whimsey's images, called "Hang in There" and added a computer generated sentiment to tie in with the theme.

I coloured my image with Copic markers and added a little touch of stickles to the flowers. I won the Prima fabric flowers (and some Prima BLING!!) from Creative Scrappers Word Scramble game earlier this month.

My papers are all BG Archaic. I used an x-cut scallop punch for the borders. I didn't know that X-cut had really nice border punches and they are sooooooo inexpensive... less than €5 each!!! Check them out!! All of my papers have been inked with Brushed Cordoroy.

Thanks for popping in, please do make sure to say hi...  and don't forget to hop over to my teamies' blogs to see their wonderful Thank You creations.

Now I have the unenviable task of sorting out my kids toy boxes before they get home from school and see what I'm getting rid of!! I've been putting if off for ages but it's reached crisis point now, lol. I really don't know what I'm going to do with the toys, I used to send them to an orphanage in Dublin but they stopped taking them, as did our local hospital. It's a shame because they toys are in perfect condition, my kids have just outgrown them. I guess I'll just have to land on my SIL's doorstep with toys for her kids, won't she be thrilled, haha!!

Have a great Wednesday!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Getting to Know You

2 posts in as many hours, lol.. If you are looking for my Stamp Something DT you will find it HERE.

This fortnights challenge on Stampin' for the Weekend is...
"Getting to Know You"

Use inspiration from your favourite book.

We have two sponsors for this challenge and they are

Who is offering 12 of her greetings cards and a digital image of the winners choice..

And

Tracey from Spesch Stamps is offering a prize too

The Winner will be able to choose three Digital Images from the current selection of Spesch Stamps!

There is also some sad news over on the SFTW blog. Kimmi, co founder of the Stampin' challenge blog has decided it's time for her to step down for personal reasons. Please pop over and wish her well. On behalf of the team, I know she will be missed.

For my card I took inspiration from my favourite books as a child, which were the Malory Towers and St. Clare books. I read every single one of them and have all but "In the First at Malory Towers" collected for my own daughter to read when she gets a little older. They are such fun books, filled with school shinanigans and midnight feasts!! I hope she will enjoy them as much as I did... I may even read them again :D

Again, I used the sketch over on Mo's Dream Team blog and my image is called "Psst... Dani and Taylor".

I coloured my image with copic markers and added a touch of stickles to the heart. My papers are BG Nook & Pantry and coredinations cardstock. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts :) I added some pink skittles, from Pezadoodle Designs, around the corners of my papers and finished off by adding stickles around the edges of my image. All of my papers have been edged with Vintage Photo distress ink.

Well that's it from me today.  Friday is my busy, busy, busy day and I'm away tomorrow giving a class in Galway.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

gif maker

I used a great image by Mo Manning and am entering into their sketch challenge.

I used copic markers to colour my image. The papers are from the Brook Collection by Crate Paper Inc. I made the border with MS Checkerboard punch. I attached my charm to the twine and secured it with silicone glue. The buttons, charm and pearls are from my stash.

Just Magnolia - Sketch with a Twist & a sneak peek...

Just Magnolia are celebrating their 1st Birthday.... yay!! Happy Birthday JM!!

This week they have a fabulous sketch done by Mina, with "Thank You" as an optional twist.

This sweet Tilda is the one I won on Scrap Whispers in March. She is so pretty!! I've coloured her using copic markers and distressed the background with TH inks.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. As always I've added a little sprarkle to them. The little tag is handwritten.. woah, talk about biting nails, lol. What is it about hand writing sentiments that makes me break out in a cold sweat??!! LOL.

My papers are from Magnolia's spring range. The heart shaped pin and lace are also from Wild Orchid.

The little yellow pearls were in the kit I received from Kerry, for the Galway Extravaganza class that I am teaching this coming weekend .... which leads me to my little sneak peek.

To book this class and learn all about using your distress inks for images and shading just pop over to An Siopa Bui. Places are limited so don't delay.

Thanks for dropping by

Crafty Angels meets Anyone for Anya?

Good morning! No sun here today, but none of that volcanic ash that's hovering over us either!! I do feel for those who are stuck abroad and can't get home.

The Crafty Angels challenge this week, as set by Shirley, is to make a wedding card.

Don't forget that each week there will be a top 3 chosen and at the end of each month all the Top 3's will be entered into a draw for this super cute  Greeting Farm stamp.

For my card I used a CC Designs image and coloured her using Copic markers. I added a little glitter to her veil and bouquet.
Recently a very sweet FB friend, Marlene, was so good as to pick up a pack of SU card for me and I have to say I've never loved using my copics as much. This paper is fantastic to work with. No bleeding and blends like a dream!! Thank you so much Marlene.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've added just a touch of stickles to them. I'm fast running out of my little roses, they are just so pretty that i love to use them on just about everything, lol. The heart pin is also from Wild Orchid.

I am also entering my card into the Cute Card Thursday "Touchy Feely" challenge and  Anyone for Anya? challenge this week which is "Sweet as Sugar"... they would like to see something girlie and pretty and what could be sweeter, girlier or prettier than a bride :)

Don't forget to hop over to my teamies' blogs to see their Wedding cards and leave them a little love.
Remember, to enter you need to link your card (not your whole blog) and link back the Crafty Angels challenge in your blog post :)

I added glimmer mist to brown paper and stickles to my dolls and sentiment.

No matter what way I positioned the card I just couldn't get the camera to pick up the glimmer mist but it's so nice IRL.

The ribbon and pearls are from my stash. I used Fiskars Apron Lace punch for my border and the sentiment is a Studio G.
