Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Previews Day One

Good MORNING!! Today kicks off  the Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Festivities and we are showcasing TWO amazing new sets to whet your appetite - Yonder Star and Yonder Star Background. These fantastic sets work SO well together, as you will see as you visit each of the design team ladies' blogs

I am just love love loving making A6 cards right now. I created 2 very similar cards using the Yonder Star Background but different elements from the Yonder Star stamp set.

Of course I just HAD to do a PINK Christmas card :D

Supplies -
Yonder Star & Yonder Star Background
Pink Cardstock
White Cardstock
Victorian Velvet Distress Ink
Stampin' Up Black Ink
We 'R' Memory Keepers white wide eyelet
White Grosgrain ribbon

And then I made one in my favourite colour (and you thought that was PINK! lol), teal !! Strangely enough, my ribbon looks bright blue but I assure you it's not. It's actually a light teal colour. My camera is a strange creature :/

For this card I used a dark teal base card. I inked up the Yonder Star Background with Stampin UP Baja Breeze laying it down very lightly towards the top of the stamp so that it would fade out from from the bottom up. Then I added a little Pine Needles Distress ink in places to darken it down some and distress it further. I used the same 2 inks for the centre feature, and I used Memento Black for the sentiment. To finish my card I tied a little metal star charm to the LIGHT TEAL!! ribbon with some natural button twine

Supplies -
Yonder Star & Yonder Star Background
Teal Cardstock
White Cardstock
Stampin' UP Baja Breeze & Tim Holtz Pine Needles distress ink
Ribbon
Metal Charm

Well that's it from me but below is the list of lovely ladies also showcasing these stamps today - do pop over and say hello!!

Have FUN!!!
Sandie

Beautiful cards! What a fantastic idea to use the Opera tags image - it's perfect. And I love how you embellished the star image with the little triangles in the second card.
