Waltzingmouse Stamps Inspiration - Sweet Little Prince

Good morning! It's my turn to share a little Waltzingmouse Stamps inspiration over on the Inspiration Blog.

As I am all done with Christmas crafting I altered a Graphic 45 Matchbook Box featuring Nordic Baby and Pinstripe Mini stamps.

On the chipboard onsie I added a layer of gesso and then stamped the Pinstripe Mini with distress ink. The baby shoes, from Nordic Baby has been stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and I trimmed them out with a scissors, before inking the edges with Brushed Corduroy ink.

I painted the Little Prince with white acrylic paint and the crown in Pearl Mint Frost, then I stamped Sweet, also from Nordic Baby, onto the crown.

All of the papers and chipboard embellishments are from Fab Scraps

Thanks so much for dropping by today.

I stamped the brick wall background with Staz-On and then stamped out the words on white card, cutting them out and sticking them down with mod podge.

I used some heavy modelling paste with a Dylusions stencil to make the bubbles, and once they dried I painted them with Pearl Frost Mint acrylic paint.

I added some Prima Washi Tape and them some foam Thickers to spell out the READ -  adding some black dots to outline the letters. Finally, I added a chain and charm through the hole at the top.

WOW! Embossing - Family Ties

Good morning!! Today I have another  mixed media canvas to share. I made this one for this month's challenge inspiration over on WOW! Embossing and the theme is Family

I created the background by layering on some Prima papers - Buff by Julie Nutting - and then covered it gesso. mixed with a little water for a more white wash look. Then I added some texture with dry wall tape, washi tape, stiff lace and modelling paste. I used a stencil for the modelling paste. I heat dry each layer with my WOW! heat tool to speed things up.

Once the background had dried I used some bubble wrap with embossing ink and Copper Pearl embossing powder

Taking my Silicone Moulds I made some Roses and Daisies with Melt-It powder mixed with Copper, Gold, & Pearl powders. I arranged them around the Family Ties wheel adding a key tied with gold ribbon. To finish I added a fabric butterfly and some wooden hearts.

Altered Canvas Swap

Good morning! Popping in very quickly to share a canvas I made recently for a friend as part of a swap.

I had such a blast creating this and was quite pleased with the result.

Supplies:
5x7" Canvas
*Grid & Sentiment stamps
*Papers, flowers and the clock stencil from Prima Marketing
*Manila tag
*Gesso
 *Mod podge
*Modelling paste
*Gelatos & Creall Silkies
*Glimmer mist (Bubblegum, Patina & Apple)
*Dylusions Spray (white)
*Washi tape
*Journalling pen
*Glossy accents.
*Button
*Dry wall tape
*Pearl Pen

The hearts have been covered in gesso, coloured with Creall Silkies and sealed with glossy accents. Sadly, I can't clearly pick the glossy accents up, as I broke the bulb from my light tent and the daylight is awful lately.

I am entering into the Mixed Media Place challenge, which was to use Glossy Accents.

Have a great day! I am off to finish my Christmas shopping and hopefully fit in a little crafty time in the afternoon.

Stamping Bella Bellariffic Fridays - Winter Wonderland

Howdy bloggers!! I'm just popping in with a card I made for Bellariffic Friday, and this week we have a Winter Wonderland theme.

I used inspiration from Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist when making my tag and the tag I was inspired to CASE was Day 11 from 2012, Carolyn Peeler's fabulous creation!!

My image is Irma & Vieno by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella, and I've coloured them up with copic markers. I trimmed them out, adhered them to the tag with 3D foam and then added some Star Dust Stickles to their hats.

The papers are Basic Grey Jovial and I've layered them up before adding edging all around the tag using Fran-tage Chunky Enamel. To finish I added some seam binding through the punched hole and some crystal gems on the sentiment and seam binding.

Bellariffic Fridays - Inspiration #5

Hi! Popping in quickly with my card for this week's Bellariffic Friday. This week we had an Inspiration challenge using the picture below.

My card features Life is Good, one of Diane Duda's fabulous stamps. My take on the inspiration photo was to use baker's twine (spools) and also use the twine to tie a bow.

I stamped my image onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured her up with copic markers and I kept the card really clean and simple. Love how it turned out.

A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day Four

Well, it's the last day or our Waltzingmouse Christmas inspiration posts and I do hope you enjoyed the amazing talent from the whole design team. Thanks so much to everyone who visited over the past few days, we hope you picked up some crafty ideas.

Today we are showing off our handmade Christmas decorations and for this I made some baubles. I have also done a quick tutorial for these and you can find it over on the Crafting Ireland blog

My baubles feature  2011 Holiday Ornaments, Ornate Ornaments & Alpine Christmas stamps. I made 3 different sized, shaped and coloured baubles. They are such fun and soooo easy to do.

Red & Green featuring 2011 Holiday Ornaments
(2011 Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities)

Red & Gold featuring 2011 Holiday Ornaments and Ornate Ornaments
(2011 Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities)

Blue & White featuring Ornate Ornaments & Alpine Christmas

On the Blue & White bauble I've heat embossed some snowflakes (from the Alpine Christmas stamp set) with clear embossing powder which is hard to pick it up on camera but it's much clearer 'in the flesh'.

Well that is it from me, but to find more Christmas Decoration inspiration just follow the links below :)

A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day Three

Good morning! It's Day Three of A Waltzingmouse Christmas and today the design team are sharing TAGS!!!

(Apologies for the bad photos, I am having camera issues. I will replace the photos when I get it sorted)

Left to right
Tag 1 - I created a rosette from a 1" x 12" strip of patterned paper, scoring at every 0.5" and folding accordion style. I stamped the bauble with Fired Brick Distress ink and tied 2 bells to the top using some twine. I then added a thick layer of Glossy Accents. Both the bauble and sentiment are from Folk Art Christmas Additions

Tag 2 - I stamped the bells with Scattered Straw distress ink and tied them together with bakers twine, adding a metal JOY charm. The sentiment is from Seasonal Flourishes

Tag 3 - The reindeer is stamped out with Brushed Corduroy distress ink and coloured with copic markers. For the background I layered up some papers and sealed them with mod podge. I heat embossed some chunky white enamel to create snow and I added some white circles using a Bubbles stencil and modelling paste. I inked all the edges with Broken China ink. The sentiment is a mix of two sentiments from Seasonal Flourishes

Peace - Winter Tag

If you are looking for A Waltzingmouse Christmas you can click HERE or scroll down to the next post.

Hi! Today I have a little WOW! Embossing inspiration. Following along with our theme this month, Christmas and/or Winter, I have made a Winter tag.

To create the background I started with some blue snowflake paper and added a thin layer of gesso over most of it. Then I added some mesh and more gesso. Using a stencil and modelling paste I added some bubbles.

For the snowflakes I first embossed them with Clear Gloss and then some Mojave.

I coloured the tree with a green copic marker (G21) and then spritzed it with Kiwi Glimmer Mist, dried it off with a heat gun and then embossed it with Clear Gloss.

I sprinkled some Nice Ice Blue and Mojave onto mod podge and heat embossed it so that the powders melted into the mod podge.

I stamped the sentiment onto white card with Memento black ink and then cut the letters apart. I adhered them with mod podge and then put a thick layer of glossy accents over them. Finally, I inked the edges with Broken China distress ink.

WOW Embossing Products Used:
Powders: Nice Ice Blue, Mojave & Clear Gloss
