A Wooden Heart...

Hello!!! I am just popping in quickly with a little altered project I did last week. 

I got these fabulous wooden hearts from Crafty Cutting and made some hanging heart decorations with them. They would be lovely on one of those twig trees as decor for Valentine's Day! I also designed them in a way that they could be hung as a banner. 

I prepared them by painting the back and sides black. I covered the front with Prima patterned papers, using a craft knife to trim around them. To soften the edges I sanded them. 

I added simple embellishments like lace, flossed buttons, a metal key, a metal lock and some pearl pen.

This would be the middle heart if I was to make the banner. The rose is about 0.75" in diameter. For the words I think I used Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers - I have a few brands or word stickers and I can't remember exactly which one I used. 

I did have 6 of these hearts but I used one on the front of a  mini album which I will share soon :)
