DT Quixotic Paperie - Telling Secrets...

Today and I am sharing a card I made using one of the new Storybook Collection stamps by Elizabeth Bell for SCACD which are now available over on Quixotic Paperie

This cutie is called The Secret

Seriously cute, no?!!!

My papers are Basic Grey's PB&J and I've stitched them down onto white, pink and blue cardstock. I cut my image out using circle nestabilities. Notice the foot protruding from the circle? Well to do this you trim out around the foot with your scissors and then slip the circle nestabilies underneath it, so that you cut around it.

I stamped my image with Momento Tuxedo Black, onto Make it Colour Blending Card, and used both Copic and Touch Twin Marker for colouring it up. The background is sponged with Tumbled Glass distress ink.

You can find this stamp and the rest of the new release HERE. Check them out, they are just adorable!!

Basic Grey & Whiff of Joy Challenges

Good morning and happy Saturday. We have a new challenge starting today over on Basic Grey Challenges. We would like to see you use something recycled on your creations.

As always we are being sponsored by our one only sponsor Simon Says Stamp and the prize is a wonderful $25 credit voucher!!

My papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch 6x6 and my recycled items are the Kraft card & button. I never throw out any item of clothing until all buttons have been removed, lol.

My image is called Baking Tray of Love and it's one of the new stamps designed by Elizabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy's recently released Spring Kit.  I am also entering into Elizabeth Bell's World challenge which is to create a recipe card. I printed the recipe for sugar cookies on kraft card that I recycled and made it into a removable tag. I punched my borders using MS Vintage Lace punch and machine stitched all my papers.

The fabby distressed seam binding I found on Etsy and this was my last piece of pink :(
The pearls, pearl topped pins and floss are from my stash. The button is from the jar I put all my scavenged buttons into ;)

Whiff of Joy DT - March Release Preview

Good afternoon!! This is my second post of the day so if you've come looking for the Waltzingmouse Stamps March sneaks then you'll find it on the post below, or simply click HERE.

In this post I have 2 cards to share, as blogger played silly beggars with me and my post didn't publish on Friday while I was away.

On March 1st Whiff of Joy are releasing 2 new lines of stamps, Norma Fickel's Gnomes and Elizabeth Bell's Spring collection which was available as a kit and will now be released as individual stamps. Both lines are ADORABLE!!!
I've been in 'orange' mode lately and this card is no exception. This is one seriously pretty image and the first one to jump out at me when deciding which to ink up first.

My papers are Basic Grey and dark brown cardstock and they've all been machine stitched. The sheer ribbon, charm, pearls and flowers are all from my stash.

Copics used:
Skin/Blush - E00, 02, 21, 51
Dress - YR14, 15, 16, 18
Hair - E42, 43, 44
Shoes - E50, 51, 53

On this card I've used one of the new Gnomes by Norma Fickel.  I am a big fan Norma's Gnomes and was thrilled to see more being released.

The papers are by Prima and are called Sweet Fairy - again, I've machine stitched them. I coloured my image, trimmed it out and mounted it with 3D dots. Then I added loadza yummy flowers, ribbon, pearls and pearl topped brads.

To finish off I broke out the Star Dust Stickles and added it to the flowers, image and sentiment :D

Copics used:
Skin - E00, 02, 21, 51
Blues - B12, 14, 16
Pinks - R81. 83, 85
