Just for You

Hi everyone!! I am popping in very quickly with a little something to share. My kiddos are back to school tomorrow and guess who hates covering books SO much that they have left it to the last day?? *eek!!* Doesn't matter that I bought the books 2 months ago, and I swore I would cover them early. DID NOT HAPPEN!! lol. In fact, I'm still procrastinating over it....

Anywhoooo, my card features Rose, one of the beautiful Gorjuss Girls. 

I stamped her out onto Make it Colour Blending card and coloured her up with copic markers. My papers are from Prima's Fairy Rhymes collection and I've matted it wtih white and craft cardstock from Papermill Direct. 

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps, Compact Sentiments set. To embellish I added some Wild Orchid Craft flowers, a flossed button and white pearls.

DT Quixotic Paperie - A Gorjuss Forget Me Not

Good afternooooooooooooon!! Boy this day is flying by. I hope where ever you are you are enjoying your day. It's a cold but sunny one here - signs of Spring are popping up everywhere. 

Well it's Tuesday which means it's my turn to spread a little inspiration over on the Quixotic Paperie blog.

This little beauty is called Forget Me Not, one of the wonderful Simply Gorjuss Girls.  She's been coloured up with copic markers, trimmed out and adhered with 3D foam dots down onto a white doily.

The papers are from Prima and are a mix of Annalee and Sweet Fairy.

I've distressed the edges of the papers with my scissors and added some sweet white lace and blue seam binding. Some beautiful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a few pearls here and here and we're done! :)  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Compact Sentiments.

DT Quixotic Paperie - Gorjuss Moleskines

Hi everyone! How are we all doing with our Holiday preparations?? I am waaaaaaaay behind with just about everything from shopping to cleaning but I'm a last minute kinda gal when it comes to Christmas anyway. I love the panic that is Christmas eve when you realise you forgot to get your mother's gift!! lol.

I recently purchased some moleskine cahier journals to alter as a gifts for my 2 under-appreciated/over-worked  DT Leaders on PaperPlay Challenges -  Dee and Julie

I  remember a discussion a long time ago, with Julie, about how I always coloured Gorjuss girls with blonde hair, so, just for her, I went with black hair, lol.

I stamped Gorjuss - Toadstools on the front of each journal with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copic Markers. I was afraid the copic ink would seep through the kraft but it didn't -  AT ALL!! Then I stamped each of their names underneath the image and added 3 flat backed pearls and some ribbon to embellish. 

As both ladies have received their journals I can finally blog them :)

Tickled Pink & Sugar Nellie Challenges

Hi everyone and happy Easter Weekend.

I have 2 cards to share today. First up is my entry for Tickled Pink's Christmas Challenge, themed Jingle Bells. Kellie recently gave out a free Christmas digi of choice to those who were lucky enough to be a fan of Tickled Pink's  facebook page and I chose Lil Christmas Evie to work with. 

My papers are a mix of music note card from An Siopa Bui, Basic Grey Dasher and Pink Paislee Father Christmas. They have all been machine stitched before I added some lace and tinsel ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated.

Next up is my entry for Sugar Nellie's Facebook page Challenge which is Spot n Dots. It's been a while since I've used my Gorjuss girls. 

The papers I've used on this are from Memory Box "Brioche". I bought them with the $25 store voucher I won from Colour Me Creative, along with Minuet, also by Memory Box.  Such fabulous papers.

This is the first time I've tried red hair and I really love the tones I got from the copic combo I used, which was E07 & 09 and E18 for the darker areas.

Other copics used - E00, 01, 11. Y00, 02, 11. BG70, 72. R20

A Gorjuss Day

As I said... it was a Gorjuss day and I couldn't resist playing with the new kit. Of course then I couldn't decide which stamp I wanted to use.. so I ended up closing my eyes and picking 4 randomly, LOL. I still haven't decided if she's a blonde, brunette or jet black!
