For You

This card combines 4 challenges:
  1. Whiff of Joy Challenge #41 - Floral
  2. Simon Says Challenge - Distressing
  3. Pile it On: Challenge #9- use at least three flowers on your project (and of course, at least one other current challenge from anywhere else in blogland)
  4. and finally Sketch Saturday: Sketch #62

I used Willow with Flowers from Whiff of Joy and coloured her with distress inks. Then I distressed the background with Tattered Rose. I mounted my DP on pink/blue cardstock and followed the sketch. Then I added some primas and some flowers I cut using the cricut and the George & Basic Shapes cart. I added some adhesive pearls to the centre of the flowers, and around the card. Using the silent setter I made 2 holes at the side of the image, threaded some ribbon though and tied a bow. I finished it off by adding a little "for you" sentiment by Studio G.

Ingredients: Papers: PM Blueberry Hill & PM Cardstock
Image: Whiff of Joy - Willow with
Flowers
Sentiment: Studio G
Tools: Silent Setter, Cricut Expressions.
Distress Inks, Adhesive Pearls, Ribbon.

Time Flies when you're having fun :)

I took out my stash of TH/Ranger products today and had myself an inkin' up party! LOL. I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is themed Let's Craft with Tim.

I was going for a 'Time Flies' theme (hence the clockworks mask and little bird.. ) but I'm not sure it's obvious enough.

For the background paper: I used Ranger Glossy Paper, specifically for alcohol inks, and inked it with Currant, Slate and Meadow and blended them using a little bit of blending solution. Then I added in Gold metal mixative. Finally I stamped flourishes using Inkadinkadoo stamps.

For the tag: I distressed the tag using Pine Needles, placed the TH Clockworks mask on top and then blended in Weathered Wood. I spritzed it using a mini mister and let it dry off before I added a TH Gamespinner.

I used a Grungeboard plate and inked it using Mellow Adirondack Paint Dabber, stamped the 'June' (using Studio G stamps) onto it after it had dried and then liberally applied Ranger Accents to both the grungeboard and the stamped bird, although you can't tell it's on the bird in the pictures. This did take a while to dry :S I secured the plate to the tag using bronze eyelets from my stash.

It's not often I get to use so many yummy products on one project and I really enjoyed this one :)

Split Coast Stampers Sketch

After receiving so many stamped images in the mail yesterday I'm totally spoiled for choice!! So I'm gonna work my way through them one by one, and enjoy doing it too :)

This particular image jumped out at me today, isn't she just so pretty?!! This is the first Miss Anya that I've used. I coloured her with TH distress inks. The papers are Sassafrass Lass 'Starry Night' and I just used some black cardstock to make it stand out. The sentiment is a Studio G.
