Waltzingmouse Stamps April SOAP - Day 3

Good morning and welcome to Day 3 of Waltzingmouse Stamps Seal of Approval Parade. For the past 3 days the WMS design team have been looking back on the stamp sets that were released in March - Way Out West, Very Vintage Labels #18, Bitty Banners, Vintage Banners and Back in the Saddle

Today is the last day we will be showcasing these stamps, tomorrow we look back at a set from a previous release... and who knows.... there may even be a little challenge, but you'll have to check back tomorrow for more details.

I created the woodgrain background using one of the stamps from the Way out West set. In hindsight {such a wonderful thing, lol} I probably should have used a much lighter ink to make the banners pop out more... however I do love the effect this stamp creates.  I hand cut around the Labels 18 stamp, as I am awaiting my dies. The banners can be easily cut out using a paper trimmer. Both the sentiment and horse/rider are from Back in the Saddle.
Here is the list of the other DT girls who are playing along today -

Happy hopping!!

Basic Grey Challenges - More Than 1 Fold

Second post of the day.. for my Waltzingmouse Stamps April SOAP please click HERE

The challenge over on Basic Grey Challenges for this fortnight is to create a project that uses more than one fold. As always, we are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the winner will get a $25 store voucher... how amazing is that?!!

I created a Joy Fold card and used BG Hopscotch 6x6 paper pad.

The image I've chosen is one of the March release stamps from Whiff of Joy and is called 'Delivering my Heart to You' .. a bit of a mouthful but I think you'll agree he's one super fabby gnome!!

The card is held closed by the ribbon that I've stuck down under my image so that it stays attached to the card even when you untie it. When you lift up the flap with the image on it there is a panel below for you to add your own personal message to the recipient of the card.

The heart has been glittered.. not sure you can totally see that in the pictures. The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps and the pearls are from my stash.

Challenges:
Moving Along With The Times - More than 1 fold
Sassy Studio Designs  - Fancy Folds
 Penny's Paper-Crafty - 1 image, 2 embellishments, 3 DP
The Paper Variety - create your own 1-2-3 recipe
House of Gilli  - Ribbon and Pearls
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Paper Playtime  - Anything Goes
The Outlawz - favourite image, colour or sentiment

Thanks for dropping in again. Please do go visit my teamies and leave a little love for them.
Have a wonderful Saturday!

Waltzingmouse Stamps April SOAP Day 2

Good morning!! Well I hope you all enjoyed Day 1 of Waltzingmouse Stamps SOAP {Stamp of Approval Parade}. Today we share more samples from the March release sets  - Way Out West, Very Vintage Labels 18, Bitty Banners, Vintage Banners and Back in the Saddle

Remember, this is a 4 day event and we have a special treat for you on the 4th day that you don't wanna miss ;)

My card today features both Way Out West and Back in the Saddle.

I am just LOVING the Way out West background stamps. I used Pine Needles distress ink to stamp onto my design paper before distressing and inking the edges. All of my papers have been machine stitched.

The sentiment is from Back in the Saddle.  Again I used Pine Needles then I inked distressed and stitched. I love how the black cardstock makes my papers pop.

I also inked my large rose to co-ordinate with my card. All of  my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The jute, black ribbon and black pearls are from my stash.

Again -  here is the list of the other DT girls who are playing along -
Do not miss what these wonderfully talented ladies have created for your pleasure!!

Back later....

This is my second post today, if you're looking for my Waltzingmouse SOAP post then click HERE

Whiff of Joy have released their exclusive digital images, and wondeful new dies...  and they are available from today!! Not only can you purchase black and white Digi stamps - some of them can also be purchased already colored in, all you need to do is print them off.

The DT have been sharing previews of both the stamps and dies for the past week and today I would like to share a couple more cards with you.

On my first card I used 2 images, the large tree and Ben Playing Guitar. I printed them seperately but you also have the option of merging them before printing.

My papers are from the Spring paper pad by Whiff of Joy and I've also used some teal cardstock and Kraft card. I used the clouds border die on the Kraft. All of my papers have been inked and machine stitched.

The Adage ticket has been scrunched up and inked and I've used Pink Paislee alpha stickers for the 'Big'. Some brown scrappers floss completed the card.

Challenges -
Aud Sentiments Challenge - A sentiment/card for a child
Creative Card Crew - For a Child
House That Stamps Built - Create a Scene

Waltzingmouse Stamp of Approval Parade {SOAP}

Good morning bloggers!! As you may know Waltzingmouse Stamps’ own Claire Brennan announced that WMS will be releasing new sets every other month from now on as Claire felt her customers were not realising the full potential from each set before a whole new release was looming.  But that doesn’t mean that the WMS Design Team is going to leave you high and dry for the months there won't be new releases... noooo siree!! Today, and for the next three days,  we will review last month’s release sets, as well as a special treat for you on the 4th day that you don't wanna miss ;) …but more about that later.

You should have reached my blog through Mona's Blog, but if not don't worry, the full list of ladies is at the bottom of this post.

I found the tutorial for this Trifold Shutter card after one of the lovely ladies mentioned it on the Waltzingmouse Facebook group. I love, love, love making cards that involve a lot of paperfolding!!

While this card was a joy to make, it was NOT a joy to photograph, lol. No matter what way I took the pic the card looked crooked.. so it is what it is, lol.

Here are some close ups of each stamp set that I used......

Sentiment from Vintage Banners

Bitty Banners - too cute!!!

This panel is for your own personal message. The swirls are from Vintage Banners and I've added a white pearl to the centre of each one.

Very Vintage Labels 18 & Say it with Style. I don't have the Labels 18 dies {yet!!!} so I cut it out using my scissors. Then I mounted it on black card and trimmed around the whole thing just leaving a slight border.

Thank you so much for peeping into my blog today. I appreciate the time you've taken to visit.

Now you need to head on over to Sarah Martina's Blog for even more inspiration....

And just in case you've lost your way, here is the complete list :)

Bitten by the Bug...

... a Mima Bug to be exact!! Have you seen Kirsty Wiseman's new Buglet range? They are super cute and come in both digi and polymer cling stamps. There are also some very fabby sentiments to co-ordinate with the Buglets. Have a peeksy over HERE.. you won't be able to resist. Don't say I didn't warn you. I accept no responsibility for enabling... I have a hard enough time from stopping myself.

Of course Mima is just my very favourite {at the moment!!}. How sweet is she?!.. and her little teddy.. cuteness overload!!

I've been on a mission to use up scraps of papers and half used paper pads that are fast taking over my stash area and these Papermania papers have been sitting here, unloved,  for.ev.er!! I matted them with blue and pink cardstock and machine stitched them all together {saves a fortune in adhesive!!}

I trimmed Mima out and mounted her on 3D pop dots on top of a white {heart} doily. To embellish I used some Wild Orchid flowers, ribbon and pink pearls. The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse Stamps and is from the Fancy Phrases set.
