DT Little Darlings Rubber Stamps - Aim High Kid

Good morning and happy Sunday!!
Today I have a card to share featuring UP, UP AND AWAY. The design team inspiration for this month is "As The Leaves Turn" and we are using autumnal colours and/or images.

I coloured my image with Touch Twin markers -
Skin: YR132, YR133, R139
Hair: BR99, BR102, BR104
Scarf: R18, Colorless blender
Hot Air Balloon: G56, GY59, GY175. BR102, BR104. Colorless blender

And Copic Markers:
Hot Air Balloon: V20, V22, V25

I trimmed my image and adhered it with 3D foam dots onto a circle of patterned paper I cut out using classic circle nestabilities. I matted them both onto a scalloped circle and added a doily behind it.

My papers are Basic Grey Mellow and they've been stitched down onto white and brown cardstock. I added a metal photo corner and some button twine. The I added some wild orchid crafts flowers and Viva Decor paper pen for my pearls.

The sentiment is from Watlzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroines

Spooky Halloween Treat Bag

After a rather hectic summer and a break from my WOW! Emobssing responsibilities I am back with a cute SCARY project that I want to share with you.

We all love die cuts and the general rule is to cut them out and stick them down onto our projects. They add just that little extra to your creations - however, heat embossing your die cuts brings them into a whole 'nother world. There are so many options from just one layer embossing to embossing/stamping to the cracked glass effect. All of the dies I've featured are from La-La Land Crafts

Each element of my 'scene' has been heat embossed....

A side view of the treat bag. You can add goodies inside... or maybe even ghastlies ;)

I used Black Glint on the Spooky House to make it sparkle

The 'moon' has been heat embossed 3 times with Mandarin and then stamped on using memento black ink and Funky border Strips clear stamps. For the Eerie Bat I used ultra high black.

A little close up of the shimmery house....

For the Scary Tree I used Clear Semi Dull. I didn't want it glossy, trees aren't shiny.

This treat bag was so much fun to create and all you need to do is..

Take one piece of 4"x 12" card scored at 5.25" on either side and folded on each of the scorelines, this makes up the base/outside. For the box inside you need a 4" x 6" piece of card and score it at 1.25" on all 4 sides. Once you have the box assembled, adhere it to the centre of the base. Decorate to taste :)

Quixotic Paperie - Spooky Halloween 'Mini'

Hi everyone! I am just bursting to share a 'mini' mini album that I created for Quixotic Paperie's Spooky Halloween week. I love incorporating my favourite stamps into my minis and that's exactly what I've done with this one.

The front features Perfect Poison & Halloween Trinkets from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I stamped Perfect Poison onto watercolour paper with Archival black ink and I used distress markers to colour her in. The papers I've chosen are Echo Park Apothecary. The skeleton paper is white but I've spritzed it with Apple glimmer mist to turn it green. I've machine stitched all the papers on the front of my mini-album.

Distress Markers:
Skin: Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Tattered Rose
Hair/Shoes: Black Soot
Dress/Stockings: Spiced Marmalade & Rusty Hinge
Bottle: Peeled Paint

I also used the Archival black ink to stamp out the Halloween Trinket. Then I cut it out with the classic circle nestabilities and adhered it to the front with 3D foam dots. I inked some Make it Crafty Spooky Halloween chippies and stuck them down onto the cheesecloth and tag with wet glue.

On the inside pages I've featured stamps by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and Make it Crafty

This sweet scary stamp is called Oddly Sweet-Monster Flirt from SCACD. I used the coordinating sentiment and a Halloween Trinket from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Distress Markers used:
Peeled Paint, Dusty Concord & Chipped Sapphire

I made some pull out tags for extra photos and journalling.

This page features Slimy House from Make it Crafty. Again, I spritzed the background papers with Apple shimmer mist.

I stamped the image out onto my patterned paper and left it uncoloured. The 'SPOOKY' sentiment and yellow pearls are from my stash.  I also added a pull out tag on this page.
