Stampin' for the Weekend & Stamp Something DT

Good morning and Happy New Year. Can you believe it's 2010??!! Well after a very long break over the Christmas season I have 2 cards to show you.

Firstly I want to share with you my DT card for Stamp Something. My term officially starts today and I am really looking forward to it.

The theme for this week's challenges is New Somethings. We'd like to see you use some new stash or maybe even a technique you've not tried before in your project. Our sponsor is KLM Designs and the winner of this challenge will get 3 images of their choice.

I have  used loads of new stash on this card.. and most of it is from Tim Holtz, lol... 1) Word Sticks 2) Rock Candy crackle paint and 3) TH fasteners (brads!!) I also used new wooden hearts that I got from my Secret Santa.

I just love the effect of the clear crackle paint.

My next card is also a DT project, for Stampin' for the Weekend. The theme this week is Celebrating New Beginnings.

Our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp and Heidi is putting up a $25 gift coupon for the lucky winner.

I made a New Baby card using the cutest ever House Mouse stamp and the gorgeous K& Company 'McKenna' paper collection.

As always I added loads of distress ink and stickles to my flowers. The metal photo corner is from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology range. The tiny hand charm is from a little bag of baby charms that I bought ages ago but never used any of them until now. The pins, lace trim and BIG flower are from Tabby Crafts.

Don't forget to pop over to the the other DT ladies blogs to say hello. We have family coming for dinner so I will be cooking up a storm today, lol. Have a great Jan 1st and happy crafting!!

All of the Tim Holtz products that I've used are available from Pez-A-Doodle Designs where everything in store is 40% off at the moment. Don't miss out!!
