DT Whiff of Joy & Basic Grey Challenges - Easter

Happy Saturday!!! We are officially on Easter break. The kiddos finished school @ midday yesterday and they are out until April 16th. No school runs, no uniforms, no lunches.. *happy sigh*. Let's hope the weather cooperates so that they can get outside to play! Summer came and went in 3 days this week - it went from 22C on Tuesday down to 9C today, lol.

On my card I've used Outlaw Luka, who is PERFECT for the theme, lol!! The Born to be Wild Sentiment comes with the stamp.

 This image really was so much fun to colour. I used Copic markers, details are below :) 

My papers are *** and I've matted and stitched them onto white and kraft cardstock. The ticket is from Tim Holtz, Idea-ology range.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge - Recycle

Happy Saturday!!! Well all things going as planned I am at the NEC show in Birmingham, UK, meeting up with blogger buddies and shopping like there's no tomorrow, lol. And, all things going well this post has actually published on time!! ;)

We have a new challenge today over on Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - we want you to recycle something for your project. 

This was my Mother's Day card. I recycled it, using the sentiment and the whole right hand side to make the panel on my recycled card.

To replace the bathtub in the original card I used Brigitte. Perfect, no?!  

My papers are Sweet Fairy by Prima, matted onto pink and black cardstock. I've coloured Brigitte with copic sketch markers and cut her out using circle nestabilities, trimming out around her leg first. Then I adhered her onto a scalloped circle and white doily.

I almost had to handcuff myself to leave my card sans flowers and pearls - I didn't want to cover up any more of the recycled card AND I quite liked the clean lines as they were.

DT Quixotic Paperie - A Gorjuss Forget Me Not

Good afternooooooooooooon!! Boy this day is flying by. I hope where ever you are you are enjoying your day. It's a cold but sunny one here - signs of Spring are popping up everywhere. 

Well it's Tuesday which means it's my turn to spread a little inspiration over on the Quixotic Paperie blog.

This little beauty is called Forget Me Not, one of the wonderful Simply Gorjuss Girls.  She's been coloured up with copic markers, trimmed out and adhered with 3D foam dots down onto a white doily.

The papers are from Prima and are a mix of Annalee and Sweet Fairy.

I've distressed the edges of the papers with my scissors and added some sweet white lace and blue seam binding. Some beautiful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a few pearls here and here and we're done! :)  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Compact Sentiments.

Ok, so I am not a CAS gal but lately I've been dabbling and it's not as nerve wrecking as I thought it was. CAS just doesn't come naturally to me - I LOVE loadza layers and bling and flowers and ribbon and lace.. and ... and.. you understand, right?! ;) I initially assembled this card without the doily but I quite like doilies so in it went! 

I coloured up the Magnolia gift image with my copics, trimmed it out and mounted it onto 3D foam dots. The sweet sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Compact Sentiments.

Elven Hestia

Ooops, another card I forgot to blog :/

I made this card, for my Quixotic Paperie post, using one of the Make it Crafty Fairies - Elven Hestia. I just love making round cards with my nestabilities.

She's been coloured up with copic markers and the wings have been given a generous coating of Star Dust stickles. 

I cut my card base using the scalloped circle nestabilities. My design papers are My Mind's Eye. they've been cut out with the coordinating classic circle nestabilities die.

I added some white lace, some pearls and pearl swirls and 2 tickets for embellishment.

DT Whiff of Joy and Basic Grey Challenges

Howdy bloggers! This is my 2nd post today, if you are looking for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog hop just click HERE :)

On my card I've used one of the new release Whiff of Joy stamps from their Family collection - which will be available in the store on March 22nd. My image has been coloured up with copic markers. I have also used the sketch from the current Whiff of Joy challenge.

My papers are Hopscotch 6x6 paper pad, stitched down onto brown and white cardstock.  The beautiful pink ribbon is from Whiff of Joy. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release Peviews - Day One

Hi everyone!! Can you believe a whole month has passed by so quickly?! I can't!! 

It's March preview time and all the Krafty Girls have loads to share with you. Today we are previewing another SUPER sweet set by Cheryl Alger -  

SPRINGTIME LULU!

The set comprises of THREE beautiful Lulu stamps and SIX coordinating sentiments. 

First I must share what happens when you overfill your copics - 

NOT a good thing :( Moving on........... and switching colours!

This is my 2nd attempt. Love the sentiment on this :D

My papers are from Memory Box - I think Minuet{?} and I've stitched them down onto blue and yellow cardstock. The flowers are, as always, from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've glittered them up with Star Dust stickles.
