Waltzingmouse Stamps March Release Blog Waltz!!

It's time to grab your partners and waltz with us because it's time for the Waltzingmouse Stamps March Release!! You should have arrived here from Belinda's blog, but if not and you want to join us then jump back to Claire's blog where you will find all the links.

There are THREE amazing sets being release today and for the past three days the design team have been showcasing them. On Tuesday we started off with A GOOD EGG. A super cute set perfect for all your Easter projects. I saw this fun Easter Basket tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers and thought it would be just perfect for today's project.

I created a little scene using distress inks and the small character stamps in the set.
Inks Used: Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn & Worn Lipstick. I stamped out the sentiment with Memento Black.

On Wednesday we showcased FOLK ART LABELS NO. 25. This set coordinates with the Spellbinders Labels 25 dies. Again, I got my C&S on and did a remake of the card I made for the previews. I was challenged to use yellow with the purple. as they are the colours that tend to stump me, and this is what I came up with. :)

I embossed the white card in the background with a brick wall effect embossing folder. Again, I've used distress inks for my label and sentiment - Brushed Cordoroy and Victorian Velvet.

Yesterday we previewed FOLK ART MEDALLION. This large set of stamps coordinates perfectly with FOLK ART LABELS and the new FOLK ART DIGI PAPERS

Today I have made a Post-It Note Holder. I didn't follow any tutorial on this one. I just measured my post it notes, which were 3" x 5", and allowed a little extra so that it didn't sit flush with the edges.

For the base I used a 7.5" x 5.25" piece of card and scored it at 3.5" and 4" on the long side. This gave me 3.5" each side of a 0.5" spine. Then I layered up my white card and patterned paper inside going down 0.25" each time. For the front of the holder I used Fired Brick & Pine Needles distress inks.

There will be a prize of a stamp set of choice from a random drawing from comments left on the blogs, so be sure to comment as you go. You will have until March 11th at 11:59 PM (GMT), 5:5 9AM Central (March 12), 3:59 AM Pacific and 6:59 AM Eastern to leave comments. The winner will be posted on Claire’s blog on Wednesday, March 13th.

Well that's it from me. I hope you enjoyed your visit here. Next on the Waltz is Julia

Have fun!!!

The little scene that you created on your basket is so much fun - I think you may have just pushed me over the edge regarding putting this set in my cart! And your post-it note holder is brilliant - I will definitely have to tuck that idea away for future use.

These are all beautiful. The basket is marvellous and I just love the cards. These stamps do not need a lot of other embellishments and this is great.
