Waltzingmouse Stamps 100th Sketch Challenge Celebrations

Good morning! Today, oven on Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenges there is a very special sketch, which rmarks our 100th challenge. As with all milestones we also have some extra special prizes up for grabs and the more people who enter, the more prizes to be won!! You can find all the details over on the Challenge blog

I was asked by my husband (at VERY short notice I might add!!) to 'throw together' a card for a work colleague who was leaving -THAT SAME DAY!! eep!! Male cards are like a foreign language to me. I love flowers and pearls and bling but was under strict instructions to make something that basically thumped the recipient on the back in an ever so manly way! lol.

The papers I've used I've had for a LONG time. It was a relatively inexpensive paper pack from Hot off the Press called Time for Fun. Very masculine and perfect for my card. I matched it with kraft and black cardstock.

The dies I've used are Nestabilites postage stamps and La-la Land Crafts Wave Border. cut out using the Grand Calibur. I used Chicken Wire on the backgound and Compact Sentiments stamped out with Momento black ink.  The metal Shamrock charm is from Blue Moon.

Make sure to check out the rest of the DT and Mischief Makers creations over the WMS Sketch Challenges Blog

Happy Saturday!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Previews - Day One

Good morning!! Well the Waltzingmouse Stamps gals have had a bit of a break but we are back with a bang and for the next FOUR days we are showcasing NINE amazing new stamp sets!!

Today we bring you French Country, Chicken Wire & Make Your Mark.

I have combined all of the sets  on my first card, including the sweet Heart stamp from Make Your Mark, which is a signature set for your cards.

I just love how this card turned out and I have it tucked away for my hubby's birthday.

When I saw the French Country set I immediately thought of sweet notes on breakfast trays, so I made a little place card that would be perfect for Mother's Day... yes, I live in hope!!!

I am awaiting the arrival of my Labels 25 dies so I hand cut my place-card, leaving a white border around the outside. I stamped the Rooster with Fired Brick distress ink, the background with Antique Linen distress ink and the sentiment using Brushed Cordoroy distress ink pad. To complete my card I added some pearls.

Well I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Below is the list of WMS ladies who are playing along today.....

Have a wonderful weekend
