Waltzingmouse Stamps 100th Sketch Challenge Celebrations

Good morning! Today, oven on Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenges there is a very special sketch, which rmarks our 100th challenge. As with all milestones we also have some extra special prizes up for grabs and the more people who enter, the more prizes to be won!! You can find all the details over on the Challenge blog

I was asked by my husband (at VERY short notice I might add!!) to 'throw together' a card for a work colleague who was leaving -THAT SAME DAY!! eep!! Male cards are like a foreign language to me. I love flowers and pearls and bling but was under strict instructions to make something that basically thumped the recipient on the back in an ever so manly way! lol.

The papers I've used I've had for a LONG time. It was a relatively inexpensive paper pack from Hot off the Press called Time for Fun. Very masculine and perfect for my card. I matched it with kraft and black cardstock.

The dies I've used are Nestabilites postage stamps and La-la Land Crafts Wave Border. cut out using the Grand Calibur. I used Chicken Wire on the backgound and Compact Sentiments stamped out with Momento black ink.  The metal Shamrock charm is from Blue Moon.

Make sure to check out the rest of the DT and Mischief Makers creations over the WMS Sketch Challenges Blog

Happy Saturday!!

Anyone for Anya and Friends? - A Sketch for You

Morning!! It's another beautiful crisp day out.. so 'crisp' that the dogs eyebrows froze over while out with hubby for a walk this morning, lol. We're at -4.5C at the moment so I'm sensing another crafty day.. or it could be another "stop the kids from killing one another out of boredom" day!!

There are some changes afoot over on the Anyone for Anya? challenge blog, all will be revealed later .. but for now the new challenge is up and we have a great sketch for you to follow.

My papers are Cosmo Cricket "Mitten Weather" - aren't they just gorgeous??!! I'm really enjoying all the christmas papers this year. I coloured Anya with copic sketch markers and used my trustee star dust stickles for the fur on her clothes. All of my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and they have been inked with Antique Linen - they've also been stickled to death, just how I like them :D

Copics:
Coat/Boots: BG13, 15, 18
Scarf/Tights: R24, 27, 19
Hair: E44, 43, 42
Skin: E51, 21, 00, 000 & E02{cheeks}
Shading: W1, 3

We are sponsored this week by Harlekino and the prize is this beautiful stamp

Well that's it from me for now. I may be back later with a late Music Saves My Soul choice - if we're going ahead with it this week ;)

Anyone for Anya - A sketch for you!

Good morning and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! The kiddos have been counting down the days and are uber excited that it's finally here. We go trick or treating this evening and I have no doubt that I will be asked a gazillion times before then if it's time yet.

Anyhooo, on to my card. This week on Anyone for Anya? we have a fabby sketch for you to follow, as we do on each last Sunday of the month.

I was browsing The Greeting Farm site recently and spied a gorgeous set, Darling Sisters, on sale at only $7!! They were just too cute to leave sitting there, especially at that price so they came to live with me .. and they brought Grammie & Gramps with them, lol. ;)

The image I used is my favourite of the 3 in the set. They are all beautiful but this one is soooooo cute.

I used a 4" circle doily behind my image, spritzed it with Diamond Glimmer Mist and dried it off with my heat gun. The effect is really lovely, and much nicer than the pic shows. I also inked the edges with Forest Moss, added star dust stickles to the edges of all my papers and on the image - this card SPARKLES!!
I will be back a little later today with my pick for Music Saves My Soul Saturday {a day late}. Hubster is away at a swap meet and I hope to get a little crafty time in, if the kids aren't wired to the moon with excitment and force me to get into the Halloween 'spirit', lol.

Meanwhile, have a peeky over on the AFA? Blog at what my teamies have created this week.

Catch ya soon

CES Challenges - Floral Frenzy

I'm running a little late this morning - hubby is in the UK, the little ones are full of big demands and something is affecting my laptop!! I'm not sure if it's slow internet speed or there is a conflict going on within the laptop but it's painful to even get Picasa to work. I tried to add pictures last night but that ended in a very frustrated Sandie.. anyway, it's all good for now (touching wood!!) ...

This week over on CES Challenges the theme is FLORAL FRENZY!! Woot!! Who doesn't love flowers??!!

I was given some very cute Wild Rose Studio papers in my DT kit and I love making Christmas cards in non tradtional colours. I matched the papers with purple cardstock.

My image is from Lili of the Valley and is coloured using copic markers AND promarkers - yes, I delved into the world of Promarkers - not sure how much I like them yet, they feel so different to use, but I needed purple in a hurry one day last week and our local bookstore sells them. We'll see.... lol.

I've added loads of sparkle to the image too and will enter this into both the Lili of the Valley challenge, which is a sketch by the wonderfully talented Bev, & Wild Orchid challenges with 'Make it Sparkle"

Well that's it from me for today, I hope you like :) Please be sure to visit my teamies' blogs to see their Floral Frenzy projects.

Have a great Saturday & happy crafting

Anyone for Anya? - Sketch by Dawny P

Morning!! Apologies for the delay in announcing my blog hop winner - I was totally wiped out last night after hosting a tea party for 4yr old girls. Within 10 mins they were in my little one's bedroom and there were dresses and tiaras flying everywhere!! I never realised that girls could go through a house like tazmanian devils, haha!! It was such a fun day - but the clean up afterwards was not fun :)

Anyhooo.. the winner of my blog hop candy, as chosen by Random. Org is....

Helen!!

Please use the Contact Me on the sidebar so that I can get your candy out to you!! Enjoy :D

Now, on to this week's challenge and it is a fabulous sketch by DawnyP. We are being sponsored by Squiggle Stamps and the winner will receive a £15 store voucher.

My sweet image is from the Miss Anya Dressy trio and she's been coloured using copic markers. The papers are from BG's Olivia collection. I made my borders using MS Doily lace punch and I've added some lucious white lace for Anya to sit on :)

My flowers are, as always, from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearl swirl is by Prima. The cute Sun charm was in my stash, not sure where I got it though.

Copics
Skin - E21, E51, E00, E000, E02(cheeks)
Hat & Top - R20, R30, R32
Skirt & Bow - BG18, BG72
Hair - E50, E51, E53

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day and happy crafting :)
