Crafty Angels - In Vogue

Hi!! We have a great challenge for you over on Crafty Angels this week! Shirley would like to see you use your 'in vogue' papers on your creations.

I am also entering into the Just Magnolia with this card as I used their fabby sketch :)

I think the fantabulous Magnolia papers are very in vogue and that's what I used!! I just love the feel of these papers.. so lush  :)
Sweet beautiful Tilda is from Magnolia's Fairytale collection and I've coloured her using copic markers. I gently rubbed the colourless blender over her dress to give it a faded, mabye more textured look.. not sure about it :S

I added a touch of stickles to her flower and head dress.

The sentiment is a die cut - In Circles Birthday Sentiments. I've inked the edges with brushed cordorory and added a little pearl.. I love my pearls, lol!!

To complete the card I added a cherry blossom, some inked and stickled roses, a swirl and more pearls. The heart doily is an ebay bargain that I was lucky enough to pick up ;)

To be in with a chance of winning our monthly prize all you have to do is play along this week but please make sure to link to your creation and not your blog, and link back to the Crafty Angels blog.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!

Paper Play Challenges - Wedding Celebrations

Hi!! What a warm day we have today. Of course it's also overcast so very hot and sticky.. ick!! However, I guess it means summer is finally on it's way :)

PaperPlay have a great challenge for you this week - Wedding Celebrations!! With the busiest wedding months here I'm sure we all know of at least one ... (or 10, lol)... couple getting married.

We are thrilled to be sponsored by Waltzing Mouse stamps  and Claire is offering up a pack of stamps - of the winners choice!!  Make sure to check out the wonderful stamp sets she designs herself, including Nestability friendly sets!!

I have doubled this up with the Just Magnolia challenge this week, which is "One for the Girls".

My beautiful Tilda isn't actually a 'Bride' but I think she definitely works as one. These Fairytale Magnolia's are so pretty!!

I have coloured my image using copic sketch markers. I am trying to nail the distress ink look using copics.. not sure I'm there yet!! Practice makes perfect though? :)

My flowers are, as always, from Wild Orchid. I have inked them all using Brushed Cordory and then added some Star Dust stickles. The pin is also from WOC.

The ribbon, heart shaped doily and pearls are from my stash.

Other challenges:
Pile it On - Photo Inspiration
Papertake Weekly - Say it with Flowers

Thanks so much for visiting me today.
Happy Crafting

Just Magnolia - Week 4 - In Stitches

"This week the challenge is for Stitching - now this can be faux stitching, hand stitching, machine stitching, whatever takes your fancy. Some of the DT have done amazing stitching - hand and faux. In fact I struggled to work out what was real stitching and what wasn't on some of them. So if you haven't got a machine please don't be put off, grab a pen and get drawing!!"

So, out came the sewing machine!! Yes, real stitching :) The light here today is just awful, it's so dull and overcast, so it was hard to get a good picture.

"Our first Just Magnolia challenge is here at last and we have a fab sketch for you done by our talented Donalda.

Here's this weeks sketch, you can rotate the sketch and resize the elements, as long as you follow the original sketch. "
