Ben and his Puff-Heart Dragon - Whiff of Joy GDT

Howdy!! A quick post from me today, I am in the middle of preparing dinner and if you know kids, you'll know'll that when it comes to food they don't like to be kept waiting.. they circle like sharks, makes a mum very uncomfortable, lol!!

Today I would like to share a card I made using a couple of the January Release images from Whiff of Joy. Meet Sweet Valentine Ben and Puff-Heart Dragon. These are seperate images that I have masked together. I first stamped out Ben on a piece of scrap paper and trimmed it out. Then I stamped him onto my card, covered him with the cut out from the paper and stamped the dragon down too.

These images are just so easy to colour. I used too many copics to list though, lol.

Help for Katie

Katie Emmerson Renz, a fellow crafter, has very recently had the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 gastric cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, her only treatment option.
Katie is married to Kevin and they have 3 beautiful boys. You can read Katie's story - in her own words - HERE on her blog.

A group of very talented artists have come together to fundraise for Katie and her family. They have put together a package full of lots of digital images that you can purchase for a fraction of their worth. Details and images of these digis can be found on Jak Heath's Blog.

Please, dig deep and do what you can to help. Spread the word about this fundraising through your blogs, forums, Facebook, Twitter.. anywhere that will allow it.

I have made a very clean and simple card using one of the images and some sentiments from this package.

I have a couple of cards to share today but first some happy news :D...

I received a very unexpected email this week, inviting me to join in with the girls on Basic Grey Challenges as GDT member. I'm not sure why, as I never use Basic Grey,.. HA, as if!!! I am thrilled to have been asked and am looking forward to working with these fabulous ladies for the next few weeks!

The theme for this fortnight is DOTS or SPOTS! and the prize for this challenge is $25 store voucher for the Simon Says Stamp Store.

I used BG Marjolaine papers, love them!! My image is called Angel Charlotte and she's from Whiff of Joy. I've coloured her with copic markers, trimmed her out and mounted her on pop dots.

CES Challenges

Our theme this week on CES Challenges is All Creatures Great and Small. We want you to use any type of creature on your project.

I used an extremely cute image from Wild Rose Studios called Fergus.

Again, I used BG papers - this time "Olivia". I coloured Fergus with copics and used the MS Cornice punch on each side of the image. I love the 'frame' effect it gives. When the card was finished I thought it looked a little bit plain so I made some photo corners and it finished it off nicely :)

 Papers: Basic Grey Olivia
Image: Fergus with Bouquet
Tool: MS Cornice Punch, MS Deep Edge Trellis Punch
Ribbon - American Crafts
Pearl Topped Pins
Copics: RV91, RV93, RV95. R30, R32. E93, E95. YG03, YG05, YG06, YG11.

Challenges:
Paper Take Weekly - Anything Goes- Optional: Lace
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Delicious Doodles - try something new or use something new
Cute Card Thursday - use some old stash {unopened ribbon - have it for about 2yrs}

 Well that's all from me for now. Apologies for such a long post, I'm a bit chatty today, lol.
Don't forget to visit my teamies' blogs as they work so hard to bring you plenty of inspiration.

Oh.. and I will be sharing some layouts on my Scrappy Blog tomorrow. I was among some very lucky ladies who were fortunate enough to be asked to contribute to the Sketches2Scrapbook iPhone/iPad/iTouch App :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Inky Impressions Challenge - Ribbon & Flowers... and one to share

Hi!! We're really back in the swing of things today, it's amazing what some decent sleep can do for a person, lol.

I have 2 cards to share with you today. The first one my DT card I made for Inky Impressions Challenges with the theme Ribbons & Pearls and the other I made for some challenges.

I used the sketch from Wild Orchid Challenges

Again I've used Winter Fashion Marlee, can't get enough of this cutie!! She's been coloured using Copic markers, trimmed out and mounted with 3D pop dots. I've also added some stickles to her hat for a little bit of sparkle.

My papers are BG Curio - I am so glad I got 2 packs of this paper, one to use and one to hoard, lol. I used the Martha Stewart Doily punch for the border work. The heart shaped doily has been inked with Brushed Cordoroy distress ink and then I added some star dust stickles. The heart pin, flowers, lace, ribbon & pearls are from my stash.

Other challenges:
ABC DT Challenge - Baby It's Cold Outside
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Be sure to check out my teamies' Ribbon & Pearls creations over on the Inky Impressions Blog.

Next up is a card I made for the Just Magnolia Challenge, which is Anything Goes. Did you notice that you can now use hAnglar & stAnglar images for their challenges? This is great news as I've got so many that I've never had the chance to ink up :D

Again with BG Curio.. yes, yes I'm a tad obsessed with these papers right now.. I machine stitched all the papers and used a shed load of stickles and pearls :D

This sweet Tilda image was sent to me by my good friend Jan. Isn't she just so pretty?! Coloured with copic markers as always {my poor inks are sorely neglected lately!!}

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is a Tim Holtz adage ticket.

Other challenges:
Mad for Markers - Anything Goes
Copic Creations - Sparkle
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Bunny Zoe Crafts - Sparkle & Shine
Flourishes - Flowers
Pile it on - Brand Spanking New {new Magnolia}
ABC Christmas - A for Anything Christmas

Thanks for popping in today. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
