PaperPlay Challenges - Simons Says Stamp - Cute Card Thursday

MORNING!! Well today is weekly shopping day *big sigh*. The kids have taken to nibbling at the furniture and the cat has gone into hiding after some very hungry looks from said kids, so I figure it's time to get some food in!!

Today I have 3 cards to share...

First up is two cards I made for PaperPlay Challenges whose theme is ANYTHING GOES. I used some Waltzing Mouse stamps and they are sponsoring this week.

I am also entering into the Cute Card Thursday which is TEXTING CRAZY - they want to see text being the predominant feature on your card.

On this card I used  Rescue Remedies - which are nestie friendly and compatible with Labels Four. I used London Fog momento ink for stamping the sentiment. The papers are Bo Bunny and the ribbon and button are from my stash.

This card was made using the hearts and a sentiment from Sewing Box Hugs. I stamped out the large heart twice, cut the first one on the outside row of 'stitching' and the second one on the inside row. Then I stamped out the smaller heart from the set. I inked them all and layered them - then added a cream pearl to the centre. Then I added some lace and wild orchid flowers to finish off.

I will be entering this card into Wild Orchid's challenge - Lovely Lace

If you would like a chance to win A FULL SET of fantastic Waltzing Mouse stamps then make sure to play along HERE

Next up is for Simon Says Stamp whose theme is GOING DOTTY and Stamp Something Challenges with SOMETHING FLOWERY.

I used a free Kenny K digi image and coloured her with copic markers. I love how funky these images are. I bought some others but I loved this free one too much not to use it:)

The papers are from my scraps box and are a mix of Pink Paislee & Jenni Bowlin. I punched the border using a MS punch and inked all my papers with Brushed Cordoroy distress ink. Again, I used some WO flowers, dotty ribbon and black gems to embellish.

Wow, what a long post! If you're still with me thanks for popping by today. Have a great Thursday and happy crafting!!

Just Magnolia & Magnolia-licious Highlites

Hi everyone! I'm totally losing track of days now that the kids are out of school, it's great!!! lol. Today I'd like to share a card that I made with some challenges in mind.

I have used 2 stamps from the new Magnolia Summer kit. I masked Tilda and stamped the porthole behind her. My papers are from the Fairytale collection and I've used some corrogated card that I bought ages ago but hadn't got around to using.

I added some crackle accents to the sails on the boat for a more textured look. Now, I'm sure I saw this somewhere else but not for the life of me can I think where... And as always, stickles have been applied liberally, lol.

Challenges:
Just Magnolia -Vintage
Crafty Creations - Summer Lovin'
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Going Dotty
Creative Cottage - Touchy Feely
Create 4 Fun - Use Flowers

Thanks for poppin' in. Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

PFOP meets Crafty Angels

Good morning.. late, late, late.. eeek!! I've got so many things going on this week I just know I'll be chasing my tail for most of it!

Anyway, I did unthinkable with my card for today ... I combined 2 DT challenges *oh the shame*

On Pocket Full of Posies we have a colour combo of Peach and Aqua, -  this was soooooo much easier than I thought it would be. I had a freak out moment when I learned what the colours were, lol.

...and on Crafty Angels we have a theme of Something Old, Something New. This will be my last DT submission for Crafty Angels as I am stepping down as DT member. It's been a blast but it's just time for me to move on.

The papers are DCWV Pocket Full of Posies (how appropriate, lol) and I've had them for.ev.er! My beautiful Mermaid Tilda is from the new Magnolia Summer kit. I coloured her in using copics and sponged the background with distress ink.

Don't you just LOVE the water splashes??!! They were sent to me courtesy of Jacque when I won one of her fabulous blog candies earlier in the year. The pearls are snippets from a Prima swirl and my flowers are a combination of Wild Orchid and Prima.

Challenges:
Wild Orchid Challenge blog - Lovely Lace
Pile it On - Stretch that Plastic (incorporate something plastic or stretchy - my plastic water splashes)
Create 4 Fun - Use flowers
Crafty Creations - Happy or Sweet
Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes
The Creative Cottage - Touchy Feely (texture/layers)
Papertake Weekly - Cutie Patootie
Daring Card Makers - Layer it Up

Thanks for visiting me today. Please take a minute to visit my teamies' blogs to see their wonderful work. The sun has just poked it's head out here so the kiddos can finally get to play outside. I may even join them for some trampolining!!
Have a magical Monday!

Anyone for Anya? - Sketch

Good morning and happy Sunday!! This week over on Anyone for Anya? we have a fabulous sketch by Dawny P.

For my card I used these gorgeous MME papers that came free on a craft magazine last week. I distressed and inked them and added loads of stickles around the image and on the flowers. My image was coloured using distress inks - I almost had to blow dust off of them it's been so long since I used them!!

And here is my take on the sketch...

The sentiment is a Studio G stamp. I finished it off by adding some white ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Thanks for popping by, be sure to check out the Anya for Anya? blog for the prize and to see the DT's wonderful creations.

ABC Challenges - Z is for Zig Zag

Hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the summer. Our summer passed by a couple of week's back and it's not stopped raining since, lol!! Great excuse to get plenty of crafting done though ;)

Today I would like to share my DT card for ABC Challenges - which is Z is for Zig Zag.

We are being sponsored by Stamp and Create

and the prize is a $20 store voucher.

I made a Wedding card/mini album using fantabulous Prima papers and loadza gorgeous flowers.

Inky deliciousness!!

I used 2 x 145mm cards and punched the top with the MR Cornice punch, then i stuck them together. I inked all the edges with Brushed Cordoroy distress ink.

On the first page I used a glittered chipboard sticker and layered loads of yummy flowers on... they are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. The fabric flower and pebble are also Prima. My little butterfly is a MS punch.

To this page I added a photo matt with some lace from my stash... an ebay bargain if I remember correctly. I inked up more WO roses - not sure what brand the big flower is. The beautiful pearls are Prima

On the last page I used 2 glittered chipboard stickers. I added lace around the bigger one. This page is designed so that you can add tags, a CD or even a giftcard behind the pink paper and add some journalling or a sentiment on the large circle sticker.

There is also the option of doing the reverse side of each page to make it a bigger album.

Challenges:
 Wedding for Raise the bar
Flowers for WILD ORCHID CRAFTS
Inspiration for Etsy inspired
Here comes the bride for Daisy dodles
Wedding for Our vintage affair
Vintage for Just inspirational
Fancy border for Paper jewels

Crafty Angels meets Waltzing Mouse

Good morning!! This week over on Crafty Angels our theme is Shabby Chic

I used the sketch from Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge blog.

I recently bought some of the older Tildas from ebay and thought this was the perfect opportunity to ink one up. She's been coloured using TH distress inks and, as always, I've stickled the wings as we all know Tildas need a little Star Dust on their wings ;)

She is sitting on a TH diecut that Katie very kindly sent to me.  It's been inked with Brushed Cordoroy. I used a sentiment from WMS Rescue Rememdies Additions and a Very Vintage Labels 2 stamp to frame it. The gorgeous swirl is also from the Labels 2 set.

My papers are My Mind's Eye "Quite Contrary" and they were free on a crafting magazine that I picked up last week... well the magazine cost €5.80.. but it still feels like a bargain, lol. All of my papers have been ripped and inked and as always, my flowers have been inked and stickled.

Thanks for popping by today and have a great Monday

Waltzing Mouse July Blog Waltz

Well it's that time again. Waltzing Mouse are having another blog waltz.

The theme is the colors of summer... blue and green (any shades of your choosing)

All of the details for linking up your blog and how to enter are HERE

I had just bought some MME "So Sophie" papers that fitted the bill perfectly. One side is green with blue splashes and ther other side is white with petrol blue dots.

I used Very Vintage Labels 2 and Rescue Remedies Additions to make my sentiment tag. I had no green ink so I painstakingly dabbed all around the stamp with a little duo dauber, but it came out brilliantly!! I used the same ink for the sentiment. Then I attempted the cracked glass effect. I did 3 layers of clear embossing powder, put the tag in the freezer for a while. Once it had 'frozen' I took it out and bent it to crack the embossing powder. I ran a TH ink blender that was dabbed in Brushed Cordory ink all over the tag and then wiped it off with a baby wipe, leaving just the cracks filled with ink.

My image is a Sarah Kay and I've used copic markers to colour her in. All of my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the brown crystal stem I found in my local craft store.

This beautiful swirl is also in the Labels 2 set. I just popped a self adhesive pearl in the middle to jazz it up.. not that it needed anything, I'm just obsessed with using pearls, lol.

Now I'm off to start the count of watermarks on all of the DT's samples.. not that I ever find them all, lol.

Have a very happy Saturday and happy crafting!

This week on Stampin for the Weekend we have a recipe challenge for you.

3 Papers, 2 Flowers and 1 Ribbon

we have 2 sponsors this week - Meljen's Designs with 4 digi images and Peachy Keen Stamps with $25 store vouchers - so there is double the chance to win!!

I used the sweetest image by Meljen's on my card.....

....is this just too cute for words!!??!! I coloured with copic markers and shaded the background using Broken China & an ink blender. I used oval nestabilities to cut out the image and Labels 10 for the cardstock behind it.

My papers are Pink Paislee Queen Bee collection. The lucious lace is from Fantastic Ribbons and the pearls are from my stash.

I am entering this card into the Papertake Weekly challenge - In the Garden

I made a second card using another of Meljen's images and the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp

I started out using the recipe for SFTW but then got a bit sidetracked and went overboard with the flowers, lol.

I am also entering this card into Wild Orchid Crafts first challenge - Say it with Flowers.

I just love this cute bunny, so much so that it HAD to be pink!! lol. I've coloured using copic markers and added stickles to all the swirls on the image. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft and as always they've been inked and glittered. The papers are by Anna Griffin and are mounted on pink cardstock. Finally, the little black gems are from my stash.

Pocket Full of Posies & Crafty Angels

Morning!! I hope you are all having a great Monday :) Today I have 2 cards to share with you..

First up is my DT card for Crafty Angels. Our theme this week is to use Red & Black on our projects. I really wasn't sure if I had ANY red papers but in my hunt through my paper stash I found some Basic Grey pads that contained reds.. phew!!

 The cute image is by Wild Rose Studios, and it was such a joy to colour. I used the sketch from Lili of the Valley, but not a LOTV image so I don't qualify for the prize *sulks*.  The lace is one I've had for about 2yrs. I got it when Rusty Pickle's Princess Pirate range came out and have been hoarding it ever since, lol, but as this is the year of the stash for a lot of people - as in you have to use what you have before you can buy more - I am delving into the stockpiles.
 I finished off my card by adding just a few black gems and some Wild Orchid flowers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next up is my Pocket Full of Posies card. This week there is a sketch to follow
Remember you can flip, roatate or rescale the elements but we must be able to see the sketch and you must use flowers.
I am also entering into the Anyone for Anya? challenge which is a colour combo of Black, White & Pink. My card also happens to fit the challenge on the brand new Wild Orchid Challenge blog - Say it with Flowers.
My image is a limited edition 80's Anya. I've coloured her using copic markers and the used circle nesties to cut her out and to create the circle behind her. The pom pom trim is another from Rusty Pickle's Princess Pirate. The papers are called Tomboy Princess by Miss Elizabeth..... wonderful value at €1.65 for six sheets of 12x12's!!
The flowers are from Wild Orchid and again I've used black gems to finish off.
Thanks so much for popping by today. Please do visit my teamies to see their wonderful creations.
ABC Challenges - Y for You and Me
Morning!! It's a cool one here today, makes a huge change from last week. I tell ya I'm enjoying the break from the heat.
The challenge this fortnight on ABC Challenges is Yis for You & Me. I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
This can be either two images on a stamp or two stamps on a card and is a perfect theme for anniversary or wedding card.
Our sponsor this challenge is Wild Orchid Crafts
and this is the gorgeous prize up for grabs
For my card I used a super cute Mo Manning digi image called Brady and Chloe and coloured using copic markers. The background has been shaded with Brushed Cordoroy.
My papers are BG Origins, I just love them. They remind me somewhat of BG Mellow and I LOVED those too. I still have a pack of 12x12 in Mellow that I can't bring myself to use, lol. !!
The sentiment is a Meljen's Designs and I'm almost sure it was a freebie on her blog. For embellishment I've added some very inked and stickled Wild Orchid flowers, grosgrain ribbon and sticky pearls :)
Thanks for stopping by today! Please do make sure to pop along to my teamies blogs and leave a little love.
Have a great Wednesday and happy crafting :)
Crafty Angels - Circles & Squares
Good morning!! I made this gift box as a thank you gift for someone (who hasn't got it yet so no names mentioned, lol) It is also a DT project for Crafty Angels
I painted the box with acrylic paint and then convered it with My Mind's Eye Bella Bella papers, inking the edges with Brushed Cordoroy first.
Then I made a criss cross card the same size as the box using brown card and the Bella Bella. Tilda has been coloured using Copic markers. I then cut my image out using nestabilities and added lace trim around it.
My flowers have also been inked with Brushed Cordoroy, but not stickles ...eek!!! To finish the card I added some tulle, pearls, pins and heart charm. I then adhered the card to the top of the box.
The insert was made from brown card and some white card. I inked all around the edges and used a Tim Holtz flourish stamp. The sentiment is from the Stamp set I won on Simon Says Stamp.
Other challenges:
Just Magnolia - Criss Cross Card
The Craft Barn - Shaped Card
Totally Tilda - Chocolate, use only creams and browns.
Pile it On - My Favourite Things
Hi everyone. I'm a bit late today.. been so busy with the kids being off school and we're building a new garage so plenty to occupy my time..
On PaperPlay Challenges this week we would love to see projects for a child/teenager. We are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps
and the prize is 4 delightful images - 3 of which I've used as I couldn't decide, lol.
For my first card I used Sparkles.
The papers are Miss Elizabeth's 'Tom Boy Princess' and the black lace is from Rusty Pickle Princess Pirate collection. I coloured the black flower using copics.. it was white. My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the black gems are Kaisercraft. This card is also my entry for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Check it Out (use checks, plaid, gingham, etc. on your creation)
for this card I used J.T and the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp
The papers are from Tim Holtz as is the grungeboard music note. I inked all of the edges and shaded the image background using Brushed Cordoroy. My image is coloured with Copics. The sentiment is one from a page of sentiments that I got from Caz's blog
For this card I used Angie Angel and the sketch from Sketch Saturday
The papers are by Anna Griffin and have been inked with distress ink. I used my scalloped and circle nesties to cut the circles and then cut them in half. The flowers are, again, from Wild Orchid. The little heart shaped pearls were in a package I recieved from my secret Santa last Christmas and I still don't know who sent them, lol.
Well I hope you enjoyed your visit. Please take a minute to visit the new DT girls on PaperPlay, to say hello.
