Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - The Great Outdoors

It's time for a new challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! This week our hostess is CHERYL!! And her challenge is called the GREAT OUTDOORS!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp that features the great outdoors or nature in some way, for your chance to win the stamp featured on Cheryl's card today.

On my card I have featured one of the cute Down on the Farm images - Lulu, with coodinating sentiment.

Stamped out onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured with copic markers.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye. I've stitched them down onto cardstock and layered them up. I hand cut the banner and mouted it on 3D foam. For the sentiment - I cut it out using nestabilities and sponged it with Tumbled Glass distress ink before removing the die. This leaves the white border. To embellish I've simply added some white self-adhesive pearls

The Greeting Farm April Release Previews - Alice Bean

Hi everyone! I have some very exciting news to share with you all today. It's been SO hard to keep it a secret but I am finally able to announce that I made The Greeting Farm's Showcase DT and today is my first post :D

Today were are showcasing the first of the upcoming April Release stamps - Alice Bean. and wonderful dies - Delicate Words

The papers I've used are Treasures by Shabby Chic. I don't typically 'do' blue but I love these papers!! The idea of the money envelope is to put a gift card or cash in there, making it a gift as well as a card. "Enjoy" is from the delicate words dies.

A little close up of Alice....

I also altered a moleskine notebook.....

The papers are My Mind's Eye - Gnome Sweet Gnome, and I've ripped them and layered them up. I also layered up a bingo card underneath some white lace. Alice is popped up on foam dots, as is the banner at the top. I used "Smile", another one of the dies in the set.

If you would like a chance to win todays preview products hop on over to the Greeting Farm blog for the details on how to enter.

Have a great day

WOW! Embossing Powder - Mother's Day Gift Set

Hi! Today I have a little WOW! Embossing inspiration for you. This month our challenge theme is Anything Goes and you can find all the details on entering over on THIS POST

I just LOVE making cards with coordinating treat boxes. They are so easy to do and they make such a wonderful gift. We've already had Mother's Day in Ireland the UK but it appears the rest of the world will be celebrating on May 12th.

For the card I started with a pink card base - sized at 105mm x 148mm. All of my card is from Papermill Direct. I used Victorian Velvet distress ink and the Vintage Wallpaper background stamp to create the bottom panel and I used an embossing folder for the design on the top panel. The butterfly is from the Simply Amazing clear stamp set and I've stamped it out with distress ink and heat embossed it with clear gloss powder before trimming it out with a scissors. The 'Happy Mother's Day' sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments set

Again, I used Victorian Velvet distress ink and the Vintage Wallpaper stamp for the treat box. I used the tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers for the box, but I changed it up a little to suit my projects. For the front panel I used the cameo and frame from Simply Amazing and layered it on top of some cheesecloth and white lace. To finish it off I added some little pearls, and white ribbon to close the box.

That's it from me for today! Don't forget to check out the March Anything Goes challenge for your chance to win 12 embossing powders in a handy carry case!

WOW! Embossing products used:
Powders: Clear Gloss

Home Decor - Altered Shadow Box

Hi! Today I want to share with you a home decor project made for my daughter's bedroom using some of the NEW La-la Land Crafts 3D Shadow Box kits

This is actually a mix of 2 shadowbox kits - the Lamp Post Shadow Box Kit and the Wings & Crown Shadow Box Kit

How I did it:
1) I assembled the Shadow Box before painting it all white using acrylic paint, then I set it aside to dry.
2) While it was drying I painted the accessories pink and/or white and used a heat gun to dry them. Then I heat embossed them with clear gloss embossing powder.
3) Once the frame had dried I used a grunge stamp with Victorian Velvet ink and stamped on all sides.

4) Taking the Bird Cage, Large Flourish, Rolled Rose Sm/Med and Scalloped Border dies I cut out the elements for my layout using card and patterned papers.
5) I layered up all of my elements, adding the photograph.
6) I finished off by adding some white pearls in the centre of the roses and around the frame.

You can find the whole range of 3D Project Kits HERE and all of the Dies HERE in the store.

Other Products Used:
Cardstock - The PaperMill
Designer Papers - Prima Marketing
Pearls - The Hobby House

Waltzingmouse Stamps March Release Blog Waltz!!

It's time to grab your partners and waltz with us because it's time for the Waltzingmouse Stamps March Release!! You should have arrived here from Belinda's blog, but if not and you want to join us then jump back to Claire's blog where you will find all the links.

There are THREE amazing sets being release today and for the past three days the design team have been showcasing them. On Tuesday we started off with A GOOD EGG. A super cute set perfect for all your Easter projects. I saw this fun Easter Basket tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers and thought it would be just perfect for today's project.

I created a little scene using distress inks and the small character stamps in the set.
Inks Used: Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn & Worn Lipstick. I stamped out the sentiment with Memento Black.

On Wednesday we showcased FOLK ART LABELS NO. 25. This set coordinates with the Spellbinders Labels 25 dies. Again, I got my C&S on and did a remake of the card I made for the previews. I was challenged to use yellow with the purple. as they are the colours that tend to stump me, and this is what I came up with. :)

I embossed the white card in the background with a brick wall effect embossing folder. Again, I've used distress inks for my label and sentiment - Brushed Cordoroy and Victorian Velvet.

Yesterday we previewed FOLK ART MEDALLION. This large set of stamps coordinates perfectly with FOLK ART LABELS and the new FOLK ART DIGI PAPERS

Today I have made a Post-It Note Holder. I didn't follow any tutorial on this one. I just measured my post it notes, which were 3" x 5", and allowed a little extra so that it didn't sit flush with the edges.

For the base I used a 7.5" x 5.25" piece of card and scored it at 3.5" and 4" on the long side. This gave me 3.5" each side of a 0.5" spine. Then I layered up my white card and patterned paper inside going down 0.25" each time. For the front of the holder I used Fired Brick & Pine Needles distress inks.

There will be a prize of a stamp set of choice from a random drawing from comments left on the blogs, so be sure to comment as you go. You will have until March 11th at 11:59 PM (GMT), 5:5 9AM Central (March 12), 3:59 AM Pacific and 6:59 AM Eastern to leave comments. The winner will be posted on Claire’s blog on Wednesday, March 13th.

Well that's it from me. I hope you enjoyed your visit here. Next on the Waltz is Julia

Have fun!!!
