Bellariffic Fridays - Inspiration #5

Hi! Popping in quickly with my card for this week's Bellariffic Friday. This week we had an Inspiration challenge using the picture below.

My card features Life is Good, one of Diane Duda's fabulous stamps. My take on the inspiration photo was to use baker's twine (spools) and also use the twine to tie a bow.

I stamped my image onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured her up with copic markers and I kept the card really clean and simple. Love how it turned out.

Check out the rest of the Bella Babes makes over on the blog. Don't forget to drop in Stamping Bella Facebook pagefor all the latest news, and the SB Sisterhood group to share your wonderful makes with us!!

A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day Four

Well, it's the last day or our Waltzingmouse Christmas inspiration posts and I do hope you enjoyed the amazing talent from the whole design team. Thanks so much to everyone who visited over the past few days, we hope you picked up some crafty ideas.

Today we are showing off our handmade Christmas decorations and for this I made some baubles. I have also done a quick tutorial for these and you can find it over on the Crafting Ireland blog

My baubles feature  2011 Holiday Ornaments, Ornate Ornaments & Alpine Christmas stamps. I made 3 different sized, shaped and coloured baubles. They are such fun and soooo easy to do.

Red & Green featuring 2011 Holiday Ornaments
(2011 Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities)

Red & Gold featuring 2011 Holiday Ornaments and Ornate Ornaments
(2011 Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities)

Blue & White featuring Ornate Ornaments & Alpine Christmas

On the Blue & White bauble I've heat embossed some snowflakes (from the Alpine Christmas stamp set) with clear embossing powder which is hard to pick it up on camera but it's much clearer 'in the flesh'.

Well that is it from me, but to find more Christmas Decoration inspiration just follow the links below :)

A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day Three

Good morning! It's Day Three of A Waltzingmouse Christmas and today the design team are sharing TAGS!!!

(Apologies for the bad photos, I am having camera issues. I will replace the photos when I get it sorted)

Left to right
Tag 1 - I created a rosette from a 1" x 12" strip of patterned paper, scoring at every 0.5" and folding accordion style. I stamped the bauble with Fired Brick Distress ink and tied 2 bells to the top using some twine. I then added a thick layer of Glossy Accents. Both the bauble and sentiment are from Folk Art Christmas Additions

Tag 2 - I stamped the bells with Scattered Straw distress ink and tied them together with bakers twine, adding a metal JOY charm. The sentiment is from Seasonal Flourishes

Tag 3 - The reindeer is stamped out with Brushed Corduroy distress ink and coloured with copic markers. For the background I layered up some papers and sealed them with mod podge. I heat embossed some chunky white enamel to create snow and I added some white circles using a Bubbles stencil and modelling paste. I inked all the edges with Broken China ink. The sentiment is a mix of two sentiments from Seasonal Flourishes

You will find more Tag inspiration on each of the blogs listed below.
Thanks for visiting!!

Peace - Winter Tag

If you are looking for A Waltzingmouse Christmas you can click HERE or scroll down to the next post.

Hi! Today I have a little WOW! Embossing inspiration. Following along with our theme this month, Christmas and/or Winter, I have made a Winter tag.

To create the background I started with some blue snowflake paper and added a thin layer of gesso over most of it. Then I added some mesh and more gesso. Using a stencil and modelling paste I added some bubbles.

For the snowflakes I first embossed them with Clear Gloss and then some Mojave.

I coloured the tree with a green copic marker (G21) and then spritzed it with Kiwi Glimmer Mist, dried it off with a heat gun and then embossed it with Clear Gloss.

I sprinkled some Nice Ice Blue and Mojave onto mod podge and heat embossed it so that the powders melted into the mod podge.

I stamped the sentiment onto white card with Memento black ink and then cut the letters apart. I adhered them with mod podge and then put a thick layer of glossy accents over them. Finally, I inked the edges with Broken China distress ink.

WOW Embossing Products Used:
Powders: Nice Ice Blue, Mojave & Clear Gloss
Heat Tool

Theme for the month: Christmas and Winter!

I have entered this tag into the Mixed Media Place Glimmer Mist challenge

A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day Two

Welcome back!! It's Day Two of A Waltzingmouse Christmas and today we are all about Christmas cards.

My card features the new Alpine Christmas stamp set.

I stamped out the trees and snow and then masked before stamping the house behind. I coloured the house with Distress Markers and added some white flock to the roof. To create the snowfall I sprinkled some chunky white embossing enamel over the image and heat embossed it (from underneath). The sentiment is part of this set - I just love all of the sentiments that come in the set. I simply stamped it onto white card with memento black ink, adhered it with 3D foam and added some flossed buttons & pearls. On the top I hand cut a pennant from patterned paper and added another flossed button.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow to see more Christmas inspiration!! In the meantime, check out the rest of the design team's cards for today.

A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day One

Good morning and welcome to Day One of our Waltzingmouse Christmas event. Over the next four days the design team will be sharing a world of Christmas inspired projects featuring a range of stamps, old and new.

Today we are showcasing Alpine Christmas and the amazing new dies from Waltzingmouse Stamps Cutting Edge dies

To make the lantern I first used Bright Season and stamped out the candle, etc. onto white card Then taking another piece of white card I cut out the lantern using the Bright Season Lantern die. I placed the lantern on top of the stamped image and trimmed off the excess so that it fit under the lantern. Then I adhered it with wet glue. Once it had dried I distressed all the edges with Brushed Corduroy distress ink. I stamped the leaves and berries with distress ink, trimmed them out, distressed the edges and adhered them with some wet glue, front and back.

The sentiment is from Alpine Christmas and I just stamped that out onto patterned paper and tucked it under the lantern, which is popped on on 3D foam dots. To embellish the bag I added a bow, some Cream Pearl Pen & a flossed button.

I hope it inspires! Here is the list of ladies also showcasing today..

Home Sweet Home - Mixed Media Tag

Howdy bloggers! I hope your Saturday is treating you well. It's a lazy day here in this household, too wet and cold to venture outdoors so it's crafting, movie watching and generally being sloths for the day, lol.

I had a bit of a play around wtih some inks, sprays and stamps yesterday and I decided to make a tag to enter into the challenge over on the Mixed Media Place blog. They want to see projects with Glimmer mists used on them... and this is what I came up with.

I started out with a 6"x3" manilla tag and I covered it with some papers by Prima. I used mod podge to adhere it down. I then added a thin layer of gesso and once it dried I spritzed the background with Patina, Kiwi & Lemongrass Glimmer Mists - drying with a heat gun between layers. I also used a yellow spray from Dylusions. Then I added some more paper detail, around the edges and sealed them with more mod podge.

I stamped out the house and used Creall Silkies to colour it in, then I sealed it. The sentiment is from a Waltzingmouse Stamps stamp set. I cut it apart, adhered it down and outlined it with a Black fine point Sharpie paint pen.

The butterfly was in the pattern of one of the papers so I just trimmed it out and stuck it down, layering some mod podge over it. I took the lid of my mod podge and pressed it down into a brown inkpad, using it to create the circles.

To make the house stand out more I also outlined that with the Sharpie paint pen.

All in all I was quite pleased with how it turned out. I have some more mixed media supplies winging their way to me and I am excited to start playing with it.... so expect to see a lot more in the coming weeks :D

Bellariffic Fridays - Sketch #23

Good morning!!! It's time for another Sketch Challenge over on the Stamping Bella blog and this week we have another fabulous sketch for you.

This is my take on it..

My card features Uptown Girl LOLLY and her BROLLY. I inked up the top half of the stamp so that I could make a circle to suit the sketch.

I'm not entirely sure what make the papers are, I only used one double sided sheet, and matted it with white and blue cardstock from Papermill Direct. I used nestabilities to cut out the circle and scalloped circle, and I adhered them with 3D foam dots. To embellish I added some flowers and pearls.

Check out the rest of the Bella Babes makes over on the blog. Don't forget to drop in Stamping Bella Facebook page for all the latest news, and the SB Sisterhood group to share your wonderful makes with us!!
