Tickled Pink Stamps sponsors The Corrosive Challenge and Crafting When We Can

This week at Tickled Pink Stamps we are sponsoring TWO challenges - The Corrosive Challenge where the theme is "The man, the myth, the legend - Tim Holtz" (use at least one TH product on your creation) and Crafting When We Can where they have a fabulous sketch for us to play along with. When I think of Tim Holtz it's always a tag that springs to mind. I've used my 'Tims Tags', distress ink and a Tim Holtz sentiment.

Happy Saturday!!! The new challenge has just started over on the Color Me Creative Classroom and this time our theme is CELEBRATIONS.

Good morning!

Each Monday and Friday the La-La Land Crafts design team aims to bring you a new and inspirational theme to follow and this week we have something VERY SPECIAL for you!!

DT Quixotic Paperie - Post-it Note Holder

Howdy Bloggers! I have a cute little post-it note holder to share  today I found the tutorial for this over on Splitcoast Stampers and it's such an easy tutorial to follow. 

To make this I used

Papers - My Mind's Eye

Cardstock - The Paper Mill

Butterfly Sentiment - Whimsy Stamps

Satin Ribbon (two x 5" lengths)

Pearls

The base is a 7" x 4" piece of card, scored @ 3.25" from each end and leaving a .05" spine in the middle. 

The carstock matts are 3" x 3.75" and the patterned paper adhered to them is 2.75" x 3.5". You need 3 of each - 1 for the outside front and 2 for inside. The ribbon is adhered to the card inside before I add the matts on top of it. 

I stamped the sentiment onto cryogen card with black momento ink, hand cut it out and adhered it with 3D foam. To finish it off I added 2 pink pearls on either side of the sentiment.

Make it Crafty Inspiration DT - Fairy Dahlia

This is my 2nd post today. If you are looking for my Kraftin' Kimmie sketch challenge and new release project keep scrolling down or CLICK HERE. 

I have the very great honour to be on new Make it Crafty Inspiration Blog design team and today I am sharing a card I made featuring Fairy Dahlia, and Fairy Chair from the fabulous Fairy Garden elements collection. 

I merged both images together using Paint.net which is a free photo editing program and is perfect for working with digital images. You can download it from HERE

I’ve coloured her up with copic markers -

Skin -E00, E01, E11 & R20 for her cheeks

Hair – E93, E95, E97 and E19 (dark shadows)

Dress – BG70, BG72, Bg75

Wings – BG0000, BG10

Flowers – RV55, RV63, RV66. G21, G24

Dirt – E31, E33, E35

The papers I’ve used are Basic Grey Plumeria and I’ve stitched them down onto Bazzil cardstock. I mounted my image onto 3D foam dots for dimension. The embellishments I've added are :

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peeks Day Three & Challenge

Hi everyone! Are we all LOVING the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April releases thus far?!?! Today we kick off our new challenge, which is a fantastic sketch by Melanie, and I have the privilege of being HOSTESS for this challenge. That means the winner of the challenge will win the stamp I have featured on my card. As I have used 2 stamps the winner gets the choice of which one they prefer!! YAY!!

 The Krafty girls are previewing an eagerly awaited collection of stamps by the super talented Annie Rodrigue - The Wizard of OZ!! As I previously mentioned, I have used 2 images on my card today - Tin Man and Dorothy.... and just look at sweet little Toto in Dorothy's basket - precious!!! 

The papers I've used are from Prima Marketing and I've stitched them down onto black and white cardstock. I used a doily to represent the circle element in the sketch. Both images have  been trimmed out and mounted on 3D foam dots. For the border I used Martha Stewart's double dot punch. To embellish I've added some tickets and pearl swirls. The sentiment is also from the new collection.

All our new APRIL 2012 stamps will be available on Sunday at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!!! Bet you can't wait to see what the rest of the Krafty girls have created. You can find the full list HERE.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Release Peviews - Day Two

Good morning bloggers! I'm back with more sneak peeks from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!  I hope you enjoyed yesterdays sneak peeks featuring sweet Lulu by the fabulous Chery Alger :D 

Today we are featuring BUG BUDDIES 1 and BUG BUDDIES 2 by Emilie Goulet and you are gonna LOVE them!! 

My super cute BUTTERFLY is from Bug Buddies 1. The set comprises of  THREE fabulous images and FIVE coordinating sentiments.

I just love making circle cards. I cut my out circle and scalloped circle using nestabilities. My papers are from Prima and I've added some ribbon, lace and pearls for embellishment. My image has been coloured with copic markers, then trimmed out and mounted on 3D foam dots.

La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - Frame it with a Window

Each Monday and Friday the design teams from La-La Land Crafts aim to bring you a new and inspriational theme and this week our theme is FRAME IT WITH A WINDOW. 

 On my card I am using Marci with Bunny and she's been coloured with copic markers.

DT Quixotic Paperie - Tell Your Story Mini Album

 

This album has been added to my Etsy Store here

I have something a little different to share with you today. I LOVE to alter things and I especially love to make mini albums and when I saw the new collections from Prima Marketing I just HAD to use Nature Garden paper pad. It's been so long since I made a mini album, I enjoyed every second of it.

 

I added loads of extra journalling cards and photo matts and I created 2 paperbag pocket pages which also contain extra space for keepsake items.

The wonderful flowers are also from the Nature Garden range, as are the chipboard die cuts.

DT Whiff of Joy & Basic Grey Challenges - Spring Colours

The new challenges this fortnight on Basic Grey Challenges is SPRING COLOURS. 

For my card I used one of the beautiful images from Whiff of Joy Spring 2011 - Spring Leap. The papers are Basic Grey Picadilly and are machine stitched.

I coloured my image using both copic markers and touch twin markers. I was surprise how well they work together :o

The ribbon, pearls and flowers are also from Whiff of Joy.

DT Quixotic Paperie - Mariposa Eyes

Hi everyone!! So, who's had enough already with school holidays??!! Seriously,  Monday can NOT come soon enough. 2 weeks of miserable weather means 2 weeks of bored kiddos stuck indoors - which makes for a  very stressed out momma, lol. Every time I sit down to make something I'm attacked with tea party scenarios or pleading little faces asking to play Moshi Monsters on my laptop!!

Anywhoooooo, today I have a sweet card I made using one of the new SCACD stamps. She is Susana Loves Stamps - Mariposa Eyes and you can buy her in the Eyes of Dreams set of 4 stamps with a bonus stamp or as a single stamp.

My papers are Prima's Meadow Lark and I've matted and stitched them onto pink, white and lilac cardstock. I coloured my image with copic markers and added some star dust stickles to her wings.

 

The beautiful circle sentiment is from Whimsey's Spring Letter Seals. I've just added a touch of sparkle around the edge.
