Lili of the Valley & a do-over ;)

Hi everyone. I hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday. Mine has been busy busy busy as always but I somehow managed to squeeze in a little crafty time ;)

Well after my little blunder on Thursday with my snow-less card for PaperPlay's Let it Snow challenge I just HAD to make another, lol. I broke out one of the super sweet LOTV stamps that I bought at the NEC - James Bear in the Snow - perfect!! I also opened AND cut... wait for it... my Figgy Pudding!!! This paper line still makes me warm and fuzzy inside :D

so here is my do-over, lol - and it's got snow!!!

I followed the sketch on Friday Sketchers and Lili of the Valley Challenges asked for Glitter and Glitz this week so I used "Crystal Ice" ice stickles to make my card sparkle like you would not believe - I almost had to wear sunglasses to finish it off ;) To embellish I used a selection of Wild Orchid Craft flowers and I did not hold back on the pearls... lol.

GDCall

I also made a card this week for the Whiff of Joy bi-monthly Guest DT Call. Every 2mths, on the 16th, Katharina holds a guest call for one week. I really love these stamps and figured I'd give it a shot... Nothing ventured, eh?

The image I used is one I bought last Christmas and it's called Henry Mouse Holding Christmas Wreath. Such a cheeky looking fella :) I coloured him using copic sketch markers. For a change I didn't put ANY stickles on my card, the papers, which are My Mind's Eye "I Believe", have a touch of glitter in them and I think it's all it needed. To cut out and matt the image I used octagon and scalloped octagon nestabilities.

I cut the banner out with WOJ's Pennants die and used Waltzing Mouse's Victorian Alphabet stamps with Bundled Sage distress ink to do the JOY. The flowers are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid. The little piece of lace peeking out at the bottom is from my stash.

Copics used:
E35, 33, 31, 30
R29, 27, 24
G85, 82, 24
Y11, 02
R30

Well that's it from me for today. I'm off now to start dinner. Then it's bath time for the kiddos - oh the joys.. lol.

Have a great Saturday :)

Halloween Card for a few Challenges

Hi! Just a quick post today with a card I made for a few challenges. I saw this cute Witch digi on Mamidoodles and just had to have her. She's soooooooo cute!!

It was only while making this card that I realised how few Halloween papers or emellishments I have. I suppose it's partly because we don't "do" Halloween here in a big way, but I love to make Halloween themed projects regardless.

I coloured The Witch using copics and sponged the background with Bundled Sage distress ink. My ribbons are from the remnants of my Raspberry Ribbon kits.  The flowers are some older primas that I had in my stash.

The Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Halloween
iCopic Lover - Purple, Orange & Black
Papertake Weekly - favourite challenge from the last 3 years. - Frightful but Delightful from Oct 2008
Double Dutch - Boo to You

Thanks for popping in.. now I'm off to make dinner!! Back tomorrow :)

ABC Challenges & more.

Hi everyone! We got over the first day at school with just a few tears (mine!!). Miss Princess LOVES her new school and "had lots and lots of fun" Hopefully I can relax a bit more tomorrow and get some crafty time.

Before I get to my card I would just like to spread the word that Pocket Full of Posies are recruiting new DT members. We currently have a very small team and are hoping to expand the team quickly. If you would like to be part of our florally obsessed family you can find all the details HERE

The challenge on ABC Challenges for this fortnight is ....

C is for Charms

We are very very lucky to be sponsored this week by BunnyZoe Crafts

My card for today is a Christmas card using a Lili of the Valley image, and I've followed their challenge theme - Circles and Dots. I've also used the sketch over on Friday Sketchers.  I'm also entering into the Basic Grey Challenge who are asking for Fabric.

Wild Orchid Challenges want to you to Make it Sparkle so I have added loads of star dust stickles to the Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers and to my image.

Thanks for dropping in!! Have a great day

Friday Sketchers #103 ... and a Whiff of Joy ;)

Hi!! I hope you are all having a great Sunday. It's very warm here today, perfect weather for a BBQ... certainly too hot to cook indoors, lol.

My card today is created using the awesome sketch over on Friday Sketchers. I also made my card with the guest DT call on Whiff of Joy in mind. The colours to use are Red, Orange and one of your choice, so I chose black. Of course when I read what the colours were BG Marrakech sprang to mind.. but I was all out.. typical. However I did have some Ambrosia left and they were perfect for the colour combo Katharina asked for.

Angel Charlotte is the newest addition to my collection of Whiff of Joy stamps. I have coloured her using copic markers. I've added stickles to her wings and glossy accents to both her halo and the star on her necklace. She has been cut out and mounted her on 3D pop dots.

My ribbon is from one my favourite Raspberry Ribbon kits - full of wonderful browns and oranges. The beautiful orange pom-pom ribbon in the kit was quickly claimed by a 4yr old who insists it was meant for her!! hmmmm....

I complemented the colour combo with co-ordinating flowers, all of which are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and finished off with some black gems.

I am also entering into the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp - Cut it out and Pop it Up
Papertake Weekly - Say it with Flowers

Thanks for stopping by :)

Friday Sketchers and more...

This week the sketch on Friday Sketchers is by Claudia Rosa. My card also fits some other challenges....

I used another fab Bildmalarna stamp called Flying Tossa. I've coloured her using distress inks and added an adhesive pearl for the button on her coat.

I've blinged up my card using Prima pearl swirls, stickles and self adhesive pearls. The large flower on my image has been coloured with Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet and then I added a touch of stickles to the petals. I just adore these new pink inks.

Papers: BG Sugar Rush & Bazzil cardstock
Image: Bildmalarna 'Flying Tossa'
Tools: Distress inks, circle nestabilities, cuttlebug, x-cut 3D butterfly punch, star dust stickles.
Pearls, flowers, ric rac, adage ticket and pearl swirls from my stash.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Friday Sketchers meets Stamp with Fun and a DT call.

OMGosh, have I had a bad week. On top of everything else I've had the tummy bug doing the rounds of my house since last Friday. All six of us have caught it, one after the other. I thought my little one would escape but she's been up all night :( Surely it can only get better from here on??!! Anyhooooo, you didn't come here to listen to  me whine..lol.

I made my card today for 2 challenges; Friday Sketchers with their wonderful sketch and Stamp with Fun with their theme "x-mas".

I used this uber cute Manga Girl (SN) stamp called Miss Clause and coloured her using copic markers. Then I added liquid appliqe to trim on her boots and dress. A quick blast of the heat gun and it had all puffed up nicely. I punched out some snowflakes with a MS punch and added Icicle stickles. My papers are We R Memory Keepers and I distressed them with an edge distresser and some vintage photo distress ink.

TFL :)

SFTW meets Friday Sketchers

This week over on Stampin' for the Weekend the theme is Pink & Grey, ABC Challenges is 'B is for Buttons' and on Friday Sketchers they have sketch #66 to follow:

I used my cute little Daisy image, by Sweet Art Ebony. I just love this stamp, she's so sweet. I coloured her using distress inks and also shaded the background using Tattered Rose. Then I cut her out using the circles nestabilities and mounted it on a scalloped circle. The sketch had quite a lot of layers but it was fun to do. I added some organza grey/silver ribbon and finished off with pink & grey buttons threaded with scrappers floss.

Ingredients:
Image: 'Daisy' from SAE, Sugar Nellie
Papers: Blueberry Hill & cardstock (both PM)
Ribbon, buttons & scrappers floss from my stash
Cuttlebug, Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle.

Awards from Heather
Wow!! Heather passed on a total of FIVE awards to me.. I am honoured that she did so. Please go check out her wonderful creations if you haven't done so already

I would like to pass these awards onto some very talented ladies who have been supportive of my blog and who inspire me on a daily basis. I am a huge fan of their work and love to visit their blogs. I would like to thank them all for sharing their work with us.
