Waltzingmouse Stamps Pre-Release Previews - Day 3

Good morning!! Today is the final day of Waltzingmouse Stamps previews before the new stamp sets are released and the DT are showcasing TWO sets that are pure stamping delight - Dainty Doilies - Large and Dainty Doilies 2 -Small. The sets comprise of complete doilies AND build-a-doily stamps, so you can get as creative as you wish!!

For my card I used the large doilies and inked them up with distress inks.

I just love love love mustard and teal together. I used a linen paper because I like the effect I get when I stamp on it. First I sponged the card with Antique Linen. I stamped the largest doily in the set with Pine Needles directly onto the card, then taking some more card I stamped and cut out some smaller doilies in Mustard Seed and finally some really small ones in the Pine Needles. Once  I trimmed out the medium and smaller ones I layered them all up with dimensionals, so this card has plenty of depth.

To finish off I added some cream pearls and gold organza ribbon. The sentiment is just a little taste of what's coming tomorrow ;)

If you've missed the announcement of the competition and the FABULOUS prizes up for grabs then you need to visit Claire's blog to get all the details!!

And here is list of wonderfully talented ladies playing along today -

Thank you for popping in, and have a wonderful Saturday.

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Previews - Day 2

Thanks to everyone who joined us for day 1 of our Waltzingmouse Stamps pre-release previews. I am so glad you were inspired by the samples which the design team created. If you've missed the details of the competition and the FABULOUS prize up for grabs then you need to visit Claire's blog to get all the details!!

Today we are showcasing Join Us, which is a wonderful set dedicated to Invitation and Thanks.

I must apologise in advance, I'm still in my 'all things pink' phase but today I have paired it with blue, lol. What can I say.... I like pink!!

I really must comment on the safety pin stamp -  seriously, have you ever seen anything cuter than this stamp??!!! I was getting that stamp on a card no.matter.what!! I inked it up with Worn Lipstick distress ink to tie in with my Blueberry Hill pink/blue papers.

I love how my card could be for a baby shower as easily as for a christening. This stamp set has so much going for it.

I also made some 3x3 Thank You notelets

Well I do hope you are inspired to visit the rest of the design team who are also previewing today -

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Previews - Day 1

Good morning and welcome to Waltzingmouse May release previews. You are in for a treat this month, I am still blown away by the stamp sets to be released on May 1st.

Today the DT are showcasing Gingham & Co., a set full of wonderful background stamps - perfect for the gingham and dotty fans amongst us!

As we all know, I am a big fan of design papers but with this set it was so easy to create my own.

I stamped the reverse polka dots onto white card using Victorian Velvet distress ink, which I had applied to the stamp and then gently touched a baby wipe to, to remove some ink and give it a distressed look. Then I took some pink carstock, and again using Victorian Velvet I used the gingham stamp to create a contrasting design paper. All of my papers were then stitched down onto brown and cream cardstocks.

I added some white through the card by using Martha Stewart's Antique Lace punch to create a border top and bottom of my gingham card and by slipping a white doily underneath the image.  The image is from the Spring Baskets collection, as is the sentiment.

Here is the list of wonderful ladies who are also playing along today  -  please do take a minute to visit each one as they are sure to both amaze and inspire you.

And I did hear something on the grapevine about a ginormous competition... hmm, wonder what that's about..?? ;)

Have a wonderful day

DT Whiff of Joy - Football Ben

Hi everyone! What a GLORIOUS few days we've had. Sun is shining and it's warm enough for the kidlets to be outside without coats! Of course along with the good, out come the bugs.. hubster 'dealt' with the most HUMUNGOUS wasp yesterday.. *shudder*

Anyhoooo.. my little man had a very busy weekend, with parties to attend. One of the parties was for a boy who is football crazy so I used Whiff of Joy's "Football Ben" digi on his card.

And what better papers to use for a boys card than Basic Grey Archaic!! I literally only have scraps of this 6x6 pad left, but these papers are so easy to work with that scraps are no problem.

I machine stitched the papers and added some twine. Very clean and simple. as my boy cards tend to be,  lol.

Sugar Nellie Facebook Challenge & Simply Sassy GDT Call

This is my second post today - if you are looking for the Waltzingmouse post then click HERE.

For the past number of weeks Sugar Nellie have been running a weekly challenge on Facebook based on a theme/sketch/etc. This week was a photo inspiration of the most delicious kind - a big mouthwatering strawberry cake!! So I took the colours - Green/Red/White but added a touch of yellow to take the Christmas look off the card... and this is what I came up with.

I used the sketch from the Simply Sassy GDT call. The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Hello Luscious' collection.

I added loads of flowers and bling and a strawberry charm to tie into the theme. Everything has been stickled with Star Dust, which coincidentally is also the name of the image I used.

Challenges -
Pile it On - Use a Rubber Stamp
Let's Ink It Up -  Stitching.
Paper Sundaes -  Texture
Copic Creations Favourite paper to use with Copics
By the Cute and Girly - Cute and Girly

Have a great Sunday

I broke out an old{ish} Magnolia for this one. The papers I've chosen to use are Nook & Pantry 6x6, matted with pale yellow and green cardstock. Good morning and happy Sunday! Today I am teaching a Whiff of Joy card class in Galway, at the Spring Extravaganza, and I am really looking forward to catching up with everyone again. The little tag has been cut out using the smaller tag die in the Sweet Hearts tag set.. love that there are 2 sizes!! The cloud border has been done using the Clouds border die. I cut the butterflies out from one of the design papers then inked and stickled them. I've also added a touch of stickles to my flowers and finished off with some pearls. The sentiment is from the General Sayings II - English Sentiments.

I have also done out a tutorial on my copic colouring and anyone taking my class will have  a copy of it to bring home with them.

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes

Today I have 2 cards to share that I made for Just Magnolia's special monthly challenge of Anything Goes. There is also the option of adding buttons and I've just realised it's something I'm desperately short of! A button splurge is due soon me thinks!

Anyway, my first card is an Easter card. I just love this image for Easter cards. I've used copics as my colouring medium. My papers are from Prima's "Jack and Jill" collection, matted with green and grape cardstock.

All of my papers have been machine stitched. The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and Tabby Crafts. I slipped a half doily in behind the top layer of papers and added some Prima bling to finish off. My sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

The image on this second card is one I had coloured up for a "Blue" colour challenge a few weeks back but I didn't get a chance to get it finished off. The papers are MME "Stella Rose"

I've also used Wild Orchid flowers and Prima bling on this one, along with some off white pearls. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I'm also entering into the following challenges:
Freshly Brewed  - flowers
Simon Says Stamp - Spring colors/Easter
Clear It Out!  - Flowers, Flowers & more Flowers
