Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Blog Waltz

Woot!! It's time for Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Blog Waltz

You should have arrived here from Mona's Blog but if not, and you'd like to play along, then shimmy back over to Claire's Blog where the dance begins.

Today, the design team are showcasing the two final sets of the February release - PARIS NOUVEAU and LABELS 25. Both of these sets are amazing in their own right and they work together perfectly with many of the new release sets.

For my first card I went with a little bit of shabby chic. Melissa Frances papers teamed with flowers, seam binding and pearls. The stamps are from Paris Nouveau, Labels 25 & Compact Sentiments. I used distress inks to stamp out the Labels 25 onto cream card and I trimmed it out with scissors. I stamped the Eiffel Tower with Brushed Cordoroy ink onto kraft card and again trimmed it out with a scissors.

For my second card I used more vibrant colours. My Mind's Eye papers, deep red ribbon, flowers and punched butterflies - finished off by adding some white pearls along the butterfly bodies and on the ribbon. All of the stamps and sentiment on this one are from the Paris Nouveau set.

For this last card I went completely CAS with soft pastel coloured cardstock, no patterned paper. Again, I used distress inks for stamping - Tumbled Glass and Victorian Velvet. All of the stamps are from the Paris Nouveau Set. Two small pearls are the only embellishments.

I hope you enjoyed your visit here today. Next stop on the waltz is Julia's blog where you'll find even more inspiration.

The Waltzingmouse Stamps store will reopen at 7.15pm (GMT) and ALL of the new release stamps will be available to purchase.

Have fun Waltzing!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Previews Day Three

Welcome to Day Three of the Waltzingmouse February Release Previews. I hope you are enjoying all of the Design Team's previews thus far :)

Today we are showcasing 2 more wonderful sets of stamps - Compact Sentiments & Heirloom Patterns

I created a Card & Gift Box set.

On the card I used 2 of the designs from Heirloom Patterns. I stamped the houndstooth with Pine Needles Distress Ink and the other in Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. Then I added some sateen ribbon and layered up some flowers to match the colours of my card. The sentiment was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black.

Okay, so I love to alter little boxes and I mostly buy bare chipboard boxes from the craft store. The box I altered for today's previews came *this* close to going in my recycle bin - it is simply the box that my jar of face cream came in , lol. I stamped out an A4 sheet of card with the houndstooth pattern and then cut it to size for each panel. I tied the ribbon around the top of the box and then added a panel of paper on the inside of the lid to hold the ribbon in place {Sorry.. forgot to take a pic of the inside!!}. The 'Just for You' is from the Compact Sentiments set.

Thanks for dropping in! Here is the list of the other ladies previewing today -

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Previews Day Two

Morning!! I am back for Day Two of Waltzingmouse Stamps February Previews. Today, the DT are showcasing Nordic Spring and Florentine Frippery

If you liked Nordic Winter then you are going to flip cartwheels over Nordic Spring!! I loved this set so  much that I made two cards with it.

On my first card I heat embossed the butterfly and matched it with papers from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Florentine Frippery

On my 2nd card I stamped one of the border stamps from Nordic Spring, using distress ink, onto some white cardstock. The sweet little birds are also in this set.

The sentiment... hmm... is that a little sneak peek of a sneak peek? ;)

Nordic Spring is such a versatile set and I had such fun playing with it.

On my 3rd card I stamped out the Florentine Frippery background with Stampin' Up ink. I used the same ink for the labels on the front. I hand cut around it and matted it with brown cardstock.

I punched out the borders using one of Martha Stewart's punches. The fabric flower is from Prima Marketing. My satin ribbon is from Whiff of Joy.

I've used the Make your Mark set on the back of each of my cards...

Here is the list of ladies who are also showcasing these stamps today...

Have a wonderful day!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Previews - Day One

Good morning!! Well the Waltzingmouse Stamps gals have had a bit of a break but we are back with a bang and for the next FOUR days we are showcasing NINE amazing new stamp sets!!

Today we bring you French Country, Chicken Wire & Make Your Mark.

I have combined all of the sets  on my first card, including the sweet Heart stamp from Make Your Mark, which is a signature set for your cards.

I just love how this card turned out and I have it tucked away for my hubby's birthday.

When I saw the French Country set I immediately thought of sweet notes on breakfast trays, so I made a little place card that would be perfect for Mother's Day... yes, I live in hope!!!

I am awaiting the arrival of my Labels 25 dies so I hand cut my place-card, leaving a white border around the outside. I stamped the Rooster with Fired Brick distress ink, the background with Antique Linen distress ink and the sentiment using Brushed Cordoroy distress ink pad. To complete my card I added some pearls.

Well I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Below is the list of WMS ladies who are playing along today.....

Have a wonderful weekend

DT Quixotic Paperie - Sugar and Spice

Good afternoon! This is my 2nd post today, if you are looking for my Passion for Promarkers post you can keep scrolling down or click HERE
I love making tags and this is one I made with the super sweet Sugar and Spice stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, available from Quixotic Paperie.

First I covered my kraft tag with 2 patterned papers, from Melissa Frances "5th Avenue" collection, trimming them just smaller than the tag. Then I stamped out the sentiment and adhered that with some double sided tape. I coloured my image with copic markers, trimmed her out and adhered here with 3D foam dots, just slightly over the sentiment.

To embellish I added some tickets, which were a gift from the very sweet Irina, and flowers from my Wild Orchid Crafts stash.
I finished the tag by tying some matching ribbon through the hole I'd punched at the top of the tag.

Don't forget about the current sketch challenge over on the Quixotic Paperie Inspirations blog, you could be the lucky winner of £15 gift certificate to spend in the Quixotic Store. All the details are HERE.
